C series may refer to:
Series (singular) may refer to anything of a serial form:
The Bombardier CSeries is a family of narrow-body, twin-engine, medium-range jet airliners currently under development by Canadian manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace. The CSeries models are the 110-seat CS100 and the 135-seat CS300. These were initially named C110 and C130, respectively. In certification documentation, the CSeries family is designated Bombardier BD-500, with suffix -1A10 for the CS100 and -1A11 for the CS300.
The CS100 version of the CSeries is to compete with the Embraer E195-E2. The CS300 version of the CSeries is to compete with the Boeing 737 MAX 7, Airbus A319 NEO, and Irkut MC-21-200. Bombardier states the CSeries will burn about 10% less fuel per trip than these competitors.
The CS100 took its first flight on 16 September 2013. The CS100 was awarded an initial type certification by Transport Canada on 18 December 2015. Entry into service for the CS100 is expected in 2016. The CS300 first flew on 27 February 2015, and is to enter service approximately six months after the CS100.
Bombardier may refer to:
The flight deck of an aircraft carrier is the surface from which its aircraft take off and land, essentially a miniature airfield at sea. On smaller naval ships which do not have aviation as a primary mission, the landing area for helicopters and other VTOL aircraft is also referred to as the flight deck. The official U.S. Navy term for these vessels is "air-capable ships".
The first flight decks were inclined wooden ramps built over the forecastle of naval warships. Eugene Ely made the first fixed-wing aircraft take-off from a warship from USS Birmingham on 14 November 1910. Two months later, on 18 January 1911, Ely landed his Curtiss pusher plane on a platform on Pennsylvania anchored in San Francisco Bay using the first tailhook system, designed and built by circus performer and aviator Hugh Robinson. Ely told a reporter: "It was easy enough. I think the trick could be successfully turned nine times out of ten." On 9 May 1912, Commander Charles Samson became the first man to take off from a ship which was underway when he flew his Short S.27 off of HMS Hibernia, which was steaming at 10.5 kn (12.1 mph; 19.4 km/h). Because the take-off speed of early aircraft was so low, it was possible for an aircraft to make a very short take off when the launching ship was steaming into the wind. Later, removable "flying-off platforms" appeared on the gun turrets of battleships and battlecruisers starting with HMS Repulse, allowing aircraft to be flown off for scouting purposes, although there was no chance of recovery.
Wednesday, 11/9/16 - Twas post-election day & a state of shock hung over the nation, or so the story goes. But it was nothing compared to the shock of stumbling upon Delta CEO Ed Bastian playing with his brand new toy - the Bombardier C-Series. Twas a day filled with wildfire smoke & gogo. A day in which we loitered at Maynard's, completely unaware of what was to come. You will be witnesses. . . assuming you stop dicking around reading nonsense & push "play". Gawl

On 28th July 2016 SWISS airlines commenced CS100 operations on the LX390 morning flight to Manchester. Manchester was one of the first 3 routes to be served by the CS100 by SWISS just a matter of weeks after the first CS100 was delivered to SWISS on June 28th 2016. (Launch customer) After numerous different spotting trips in the summer we failed to see the CS100 until a matter of weeks ago on the 24th September. We were extremely impressed with the overall look and product of the CS100 and it was great to see at MAN. Unfortunately the CS100 will stop operating the route to Manchester for 5 months, stopping on October 28th. The aircraft featured in this video was HB-JBB, one of SWISS's latest CS100's, just under a month old at the time of filming. The aircraft departed Manchester just ...
