Carol Harrison

Carol Harrison (born 8 February 1955 in West Ham, London, England) is a British actress and writer. She is known mostly for her work on British television, in particular her role as Louise Raymond in BBC's EastEnders.

Career

Harrison made her acting debut in 1976, in the BBC police drama, Softly Softly, which was a spin-off from the hugely popular Z-Cars. In 1980 she made her film debut, securing a minor role in the 1980 adaptation of The Elephant Man. She went on to appear in many successful television programmes including The Gentle Touch (1982); Q.E.D. (1982); The Cleopatras (1983); Minder (1984); Casualty (1987, 1996 & 2008); Dorothy in London's Burning from 1988–1989; Kavanagh QC (1995) and ITV's A Touch of Frost (1997).

One of her most notable and long running roles, was playing the part of Gloria in the popular BBC sitcom Brush Strokes (1986–1991); remaining in the role for five series. However, it is her role in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (1998–1999) that she is most remembered for. Harrison played Louise Raymond, the selfish mother of Tiffany (Martine McCutcheon) and Simon (Andrew Lynford). Harrison's character was involved in many explosive storylines, including an affair with her daughter's husband Grant (Ross Kemp). This role was not the first time Harrison had appeared in the soap. She had previously had a minor role in 1986, playing the mother of a young boy who was rescued from a speeding lorry by Andy O'Brien (Ross Davidson).

David Hunter

David Hunter (July 21, 1802 – February 2, 1886) was a Union general during the American Civil War. He achieved fame by his unauthorized 1862 order (immediately rescinded) emancipating slaves in three Southern states and as the president of the military commission trying the conspirators involved with the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.

Early life and education

Hunter (son of Andrew Hunter & Mary Stockton) was born in Troy, New York, or Princeton, New Jersey. He was the cousin of writer-illustrator David Hunter Strother (who would also serve as a Union Army general) and his maternal grandfather was Richard Stockton, a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence. He graduated from the United States Military Academy, in 1822, and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the 5th U.S. Infantry Regiment. Records of his military service prior to the Civil War contain significant gaps. From 1828 to 1831, he was stationed on the northwest frontier, at Fort Dearborn (Chicago, Illinois), where he met and married Maria Kinzie, the daughter of the city's first permanent white resident, John Kinzie. He served in the infantry for 11 years, and was appointed captain of the 1st U.S. Dragoons in 1833. He resigned from the Army in July 1836 and moved to Illinois, where he worked as a real estate agent or speculator. He rejoined the Army in November 1841 as a paymaster and was promoted to major in March 1842. One source claims that he saw action in the Second Seminole War (1838–42) and the Mexican-American War (1846–48).

Andra and The BackBone

Andra and The BackBone is a rock band from Indonesia and the solo project of Andra Ramadhan, guitarist of the band Dewa 19. Ramadhan also formed part of fellow Dewa band member Ahmad Dhani's Ahmad Band project.

In addition to Ramadhan, the band also consists of Deddi Suryadi, Stevie Item.

The band released its self-titled debut album in 2007 on EMI Indonesia. The album was also released in Malaysia but with different artwork.

The album's first single, "Musnah", became a big hit in Indonesia, reaching the top of many national radio playlists. The video clip also received heavy rotation on MTV.

Michael Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor. Called the King of Pop, his contributions to music and dance, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.

The eighth child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene along with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1964, and began his solo career in 1971. In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. The music videos for his songs, including those of "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller, were credited with breaking down racial barriers and with transforming the medium into an art form and promotional tool. The popularity of these videos helped to bring the then-relatively-new television channel MTV to fame. His 1987 album Bad spawned the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror", and "Dirty Diana", becoming the first album to have five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. With videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream", he continued to innovate the medium throughout the 1990s, as well as forging a reputation as a touring solo artist. Through stage and video performances, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. His distinctive sound and style has influenced numerous artists of various music genres.

Despite technical obstacles, and having to shoot at night, cinematographer Haskell Wexler gave the film the neon-lit aura that Lucas wanted, evoking the authentic look of a suburban strip to go with the authentic sound of rock-n-roll. Universal, which wanted to call the film Another Slow Night in Modesto, thought it was unreleasable. But Lucas' period detail, co-writers Willard Huyck's and Gloria Katz's realistic dialogue, and the film's nostalgia for the pre-Vietnam years apparently appealed to a 1973 audience embroiled in cultural chaos: American Graffiti became the third most popular movie of 1973 (after The Exorcist and The Sting), establishing the reputations of Lucas (whose next film would be Star Wars) and his young cast, and furthering the onset of soundtrack-driven, youth-oriented movies. Although the film helped spark 1970s nostalgia for the 1950s, nothing else would capture the flavor of the era with the same humorous candor and latent sense of foreboding. Lindsey Marie Howe by Genda Funeral Home • July 21, 2017 Lindsey Marie Howe, 22, of Michigantown, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, due to injuries from an auto accident. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1995, in Frankfort, to Mark A. and Becky A. Jacobs Howe; her parents survive in Michigantown. In 2013, Lindsey graduated from Clinton Central High School where she played basketball, was football team manager her freshman year, and earned her CNA Certification her junior year and EMT Certification her senior Year. Her plan was to return to college for business management. She has been a member of Center Pacers 4-H Club and Lama Club. Lindsey had previously worked at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Federal Mogul, and CVS. Lindsey was known for her positive and optimistic outlook on life; she was a shining light wherever she went. She was daddy’s girl, a great aunt who loved her family and friends, standing up for them all. Lindsey was always full of life, ornery but lovable. In addition to her parents, Lindsey is survived by her boyfriend, Cesar Muñoz; brothers, Cody M. Howe and Jacob M. (Jeanee) Howe; nieces, Rylee and Fynlee; paternal grandmother, Betty Howe; aunts and uncles, Matt (Jody) Howe, Carol (Larry) Harrison, Byron (Beth) Jacobs, Debbie (Craig) Douglass, Cathy (Carl) Westerfield, and Julie (Scott) Eimen; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lindsey is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gerald Howe; maternal grandparents, Gene Jacobs and Rosalee Jacobs; and paternal great-grandmother, Lela Howe. Visitation for Lindsey will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the church. A celebration of life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Harmony Baptist Church in Frankfort with Pastor Wayne Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery.
