After checking the history of this video, I learned that this recent version is missing the last 2 minutes. The first 6:36 is the cartoon as it was shown, and I added the missing 2 minutes afterwards.

I uploaded it because I haven't found this cartoon anywhere else.

A satirical commentary on the events of World War II. Although the cartoon opens with a joke about similarities to actual dictators being unintentional, the three main bad guys are clearly Hitler (played by a vulture), Mussolini (played by a gorilla) and Hirohito (played by a hyena). The three animals move into the forest, disrupting the peaceful lives of the squirrels and rabbits. The animals are forced to listen to and applaud the vulture's squawking, and are set to work. One evening, a squirrel sneaks a nut, and the three dictators beat it out of him. Shocked, the forest animals plot their revenge. The woodpecker carves a "V" (for "victory") on the front of the dictators' hideout. The animals begin chirping and squawking Beethoven's Fifth Symphony (the four-note opening theme resembles the Morse code pattern for "V"). Skunks sneak in through the chimney and chase the bad guys out, where they are attacked from above by geese flying in their familiar chevron ("V") pattern.
Color Rhapsodies was a series of usually one-shot animated cartoon shorts produced by Charles Mintz for Columbia Pictures. They were launched in 1934, following the phenomenal success of Walt Disney's Technicolor Silly Symphonies. Because of Disney's exclusive rights to the full three strip Technicolor process, Color Rhapsodies were produced in the older two-tone Technicolor process until 1935, when Disney's exclusive contract expired.
The Color Rhapsodies series is most notable for introducing the characters of The Fox and the Crow in the 1941 short The Fox and the Grapes. The 1937 Color Rhapsodies short The Little Match Girl was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoons).

Featured is singer Madame Dish, followed by trips to India, Egypt, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Venice. With the original main titles intact, this 1940 Screen Gems cartoon, with animation by Art Davis and Herb Rothwell plus music by Joe De Nat, was directed by Sid Marcus.

In this 1943 Color Rhapsodies entry from the Screen Gems cartoon studio, the Fox tries to plant a rooftop victory garden, but the Crow tries to pillage it for the corn. With story by Leo Salkin, animation by Phil Duncan, and music by Eddie Kilfeather (and an uncredited Frank Graham doing the Fox and Crow's voices), this cartoon, released by Columbia Pictures, was produced by Dave Fleischer and directed by Bob Wickersham.

A satirical commentary on the events of World War II. Although the cartoon opens with a joke about similarities to actual dictators being unintentional, the three main bad guys are clearly Hitler (played by a vulture), Mussolini (played by a gorilla) and Hirohito (played by a hyena). The three animals move into the forest, disrupting the peaceful lives of the squirrels and rabbits. The animals are forced to listen to and applaud the vulture's squawking, and are set to work. One evening, a squirrel sneaks a nut, and the three dictators beat it out of him. Shocked, the forest animals plot their revenge. The woodpecker carves a "V" (for "victory") on the front of the dictators' hideout. The animals begin chirping and squawking Beethoven's Fifth Symphony (the four-note opening theme resembles the Morse code pattern for "V"). Skunks sneak in through the chimney and chase the bad guys out, where they are attacked from above by geese flying in their familiar chevron ("V") pattern.
Color Rhapsodies was a series of usually one-shot animated cartoon shorts produced by Charles Mintz for Columbia Pictures. They were launched in 1934, following the phenomenal success of Walt Disney's Technicolor Silly Symphonies. Because of Disney's exclusive rights to the full three strip Technicolor process, Color Rhapsodies were produced in the older two-tone Technicolor process until 1935, when Disney's exclusive contract expired.
The Color Rhapsodies series is most notable for introducing the characters of The Fox and the Crow in the 1941 short The Fox and the Grapes. The 1937 Color Rhapsodies short The Little Match Girl was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoons).
