Sainik School Bijapur, Bheemangouda, 4505, Adilshahi House report, 2014 15 Sainik School Bijapur, Adilshahi House Report 2014 -15 As saying goes the higher you rise the heavier you fall , the heavier you fall the higher you bounce back again. We the Spartans started the year with a good note by being runners up hockey and basketball under the captainship of cdt gajanan and cdt akash respectively from then on Spartans went on to conquer the field where we bagged the first position in athletics cross country and aquatics we could stand up to the open challenge put by the then house captain cdt Dundesh by bagging the cross country shield it was continuously third trophy in arrow when we had aquatics trophy in our hand we missed double hat trick in obstacle competition by mere fraction of 0.2 sec. As the saying goes “Drill is the bedrock of discipline we Adils proved our mettle in the drill competition too, by securing second position under the command of cdt Akash. We were not only the lords of the sports and games in field , we proved our supremacy in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities too , naming few we secured first position interhouse Kannada declamation, English elocution and declamation , hindi debate. Coming down to the individual Cdt Vikas made it to the hat trick by bagging the first position in kannada declamation consecutively for the third time cdt Prashant secured first position in English declamation cdt Manthan stood first in English debate cdt akash secured third position in extempore speech competition cdt Avinash secured third position in hindi debate cdt Ayush stood first in English elocution. Cdt Karan and Cdt Rushikesh secured first and third position respectively in drawing competition .Coming down to the achievements in sports. Cdt Praveen was judged as the general champion in the athletics Cdt Pappu received Karadi trophy for being the best track runner. We the Spartans received totally sixteen medals in athletics out of which nine were gold, two silver and five bronze medals. Cdt Vishnu and Cdt Manthan bagged second and third individual positions in cross-country. Cdt Pappu and Cdt Rudresh secured first and second position respectively in obstacle race. We Spartans broke record of 4 X 25 medley relay in aquatics. Karan was judged as the general champion in aquatics. Our juniors have also contributed immensely to the house they stood first in Kannada recitation Hindi recitation English declamation and Hindi declamation. They stood first in Inter house hockey competition second in chess championship. Cdt Mallinath Cdt Sandeep CdtShivakumar have received medals in various events in athletics. This year was the fruitful year for us. We could come with flying colors in almost all the event. We thank the house captain cdt Sangamesh and vice captain cdt Gajanan and Cdt Prashant for their able leadership and their constant efforts to lead the house to victory in various events. All these would have not been possible without the able guidance and kind support of our house masters Mr. G. Balakrishna and Mr.K.Nagabhushana Rao and our hostel superintendent Mr Praveen. We thank our house tutors Mr. M.U.Naik Mr.M.P.Desai Mrs. Madhubala and Mr. U.S.Dandoti for their able guidance and support.
