This is "Half-Life: Uplink", a short film vaguely loosely based on the events of Half-Life (not to be confused with the Half-Life demo of the same name).
It was produced by British marketing agency Cruise Control, and commissioned by a parent company of Sierra to promote Half-Life and give a new perspective on the game and its plot. It was released on March 15, 1999, after its intended release date of February 22 - it was held back due to lack of approval from Valve and Sierra. This is indeed very poor. At the beginning of 1999, former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was bombed by NATO member countries. One of the targets was building of the Army Headquarters in Belgrade.
Years have gone by.
For security reasons 13 years the humans did not carry out almost any works on Army Headquarters. But the nature did. Out of nothing, from concrete and dust, a tree grew. The real forest grew up on this building. Film “In the name of life 1999.” follows, in an unusual way, the growth of these trees and of one girl that was conceived while the bombs were falling on Belgrade.
15 years after the bombing, a part of the building was torn down and all the rooftop trees were cut down. All that remained was a single birch tree girl would look at every day on her way to school.
18 years after the bombing, in present day, girl and her friends, were all either born or inside our mums’ bellies while the bombs were falling, get a wish to take off birch tree from rooftop and planted. In the soil. Just like a proper tree.
With this film about the trees on the rooftops we want to draw, in a unique way, the attention of public to the fact that the nature is stronger than the all of us. That after all of us, and after all the bombs, the only thing that will remain will be – tree.
Now like monument in city park “Manjez”. Not to the bombs and bombing. But a monument to life. The life after the bombs.

Početkom 1999. Bivša jugoslavija je bombardovana od strane NATO pakta. Jedna od meta je bila i zgrada bivše komande velike Jugoslovenske armije u Beogradu. Prolazile su godine nakon bombardovanja.
13 godina iz bezbednosnih razloga ništa nije radjeno na zgradi pogodjenog Generalštaba. Ali je zato radila priroda. Iz ničega, prašine i betona, poraslo je drvo. Izrasla je prava šuma na krovu Generalštaba. Film „U ime života 1999.“ na specifičan način prati rast tog drveća i devojčice koja je začeta dok su padale bombe nad Beogradom.
15 godina nakon bombi deo zgrade je srušen iz bezbednosnih razloga a svo drveće je posečeno. Ostala je samo jedna breza u koju je devojčica gledala svakog dana dok je išla u školu. Danas, 18 godina posle bombi, devojčica i njeni drugari su poželeli da tu brezu neko skine sa krova i zasadi u gradski park. U zemlju, kao što dolikuje drvetu.
Ovim filmom o drveću na krovu želimo da skrenemo pažnju publike na činjenicu da je priroda jača od svih nas i svih bombi. Da će posle svih nas i posle svih bombi ostati samo – drvo.
Sada kao spomenik u gradskom parku „Manjež“. Ali ne spomenik bombama i bombardovanju. Već spomenik životu. Životu posle bombi.

Beni (Kevin J. O'Connor) gets cornered by the mummy during their first meeting.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Loosely adapted from the classic 1932 horror film starring Boris Karloff, The Mummy is set in Egypt, where over 3,000 years ago the high priest Imhotep (played by Arnold Vosloo) was given the all-important assignment of preparing the recently dead for their journey into the afterlife. However, Imhotep made one terrible mistake - he became smitten with Anck-Su-Namun, the mistress of the Pharaoh himself. Driven mad by jealousy and love, Imhotep murdered the Pharaoh, and his punishment was to be buried alive and suffer the torment of an eternal life in his wretched tomb. In 1925, a band of adventurers seeking fame and fortune - led by Rick O'Connel (Brendan Fraser), an American expatriate who has joined the foreign legion, and Evelyn Carnarvon (Rachel Weisz), an amateur archeologist - find a previously unknown burial site in Egypt. The team starts to dig, hoping to find lost riches, but instead they disturb the tomb of Imhotep, and soon the cursed priest rises from his grave to wreck vengeance on humanity. The Mummy was written and directed by Stephen Sommers, whose previous cinematic journeys into the past include The Jungle Book and The Adventures Of Huck Finn.

Life (Diamonds in the Dark)
"'Life (Diamonds in the Dark)" is a song by Swedish DJ and producer John Dahlbäck featuring Swedish recording artist Agnes. Dahlbäck originally released the instrumental version of the song called "Life" in February 2012, but later got Swedish singer Agnes to sing the vocals on the re-release. In an interview with American magazine "Billboard" Dahlbäck commented on the co-operation with Agnes; "“She’s one of the biggest pop stars in Sweden, so for me it was a big honor to have her on the track. This may not be what she’d do normally, but she’s very happy with the result.”
The song is released together with three remixes that will accompany the February 25 release. Dahlback selected remixes from Australian upstarts Feenixpawl, fellow Swedish DJs Lunde Bros., and Canadian electro-house artist Lazy Rich.

At the beginning of 1999, former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was bombed by NATO member countries. One of the targets was building of the Army Headquarters in Belgrade.
Years have gone by.
For security reasons 13 years the humans did not carry out almost any works on Army Headquarters. But the nature did. Out of nothing, from concrete and dust, a tree grew. The real forest grew up on this building. Film “In the name of life 1999.” follows, in an unusual way, the growth of these trees and of one girl that was conceived while the bombs were falling on Belgrade.
15 years after the bombing, a part of the building was torn down and all the rooftop trees were cut down. All that remained was a single birch tree girl would look at every day on her way to school.
18 years after the bombing, in present day, girl and her friends, were all either born or inside our mums’ bellies while the bombs were falling, get a wish to take off birch tree from rooftop and planted. In the soil. Just like a proper tree.
With this film about the trees on the rooftops we want to draw, in a unique way, the attention of public to the fact that the nature is stronger than the all of us. That after all of us, and after all the bombs, the only thing that will remain will be – tree.
Now like monument in city park “Manjez”. Not to the bombs and bombing. But a monument to life. The life after the bombs.

13 godina iz bezbednosnih razloga ništa nije radjeno na zgradi pogodjenog Generalštaba. Ali je zato radila priroda. Iz ničega, prašine i betona, poraslo je drvo. Izrasla je prava šuma na krovu Generalštaba. Film „U ime života 1999.“ na specifičan način prati rast tog drveća i devojčice koja je začeta dok su padale bombe nad Beogradom.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Loosely adapted from the classic 1932 horror film starring Boris Karloff, The Mummy is set in Egypt, where over 3,000 years ago the high priest Imhotep (played by Arnold Vosloo) was given the all-important assignment of preparing the recently dead for their journey into the afterlife. However, Imhotep made one terrible mistake - he became smitten with Anck-Su-Namun, the mistress of the Pharaoh himself. Driven mad by jealousy and love, Imhotep murdered the Pharaoh, and his punishment was to be buried alive and suffer the torment of an eternal life in his wretched tomb. In 1925, a band of adventurers seeking fame and fortune - led by Rick O'Connel (Brendan Fraser), an American expatriate who has joined the foreign legion, and Evelyn Carnarvon (Rachel Weisz), an amateur archeologist - find a previously unknown burial site in Egypt. The team starts to dig, hoping to find lost riches, but instead they disturb the tomb of Imhotep, and soon the cursed priest rises from his grave to wreck vengeance on humanity. The Mummy was written and directed by Stephen Sommers, whose previous cinematic journeys into the past include The Jungle Book and The Adventures Of Huck Finn.

"It all happened with one phone call," Marley Marl told AllHipHop.com during a March 2006 interview. "They called me and he jumped on the phone and told me it would be spectacular for Hip Hop...My reason for doing this is to show these kids that [Hip Hop beefs] are not that serious." Lawrence "Kris" Parker (born August 20, 1965), better known by his stage names KRS-One, an abbreviation of Knowledge Reigning Supreme Over Nearly Everyone, and Teacha, is an American rapper and occasional producer from Bronx, New York. He rose to prominence as part of the hip hop music group Boogie Down Productions, which he formed with DJ Scott La Rock in the mid-1980s. KRS-One is best known for his top hits, "Sound of da Police", "Love's Gonna Get'cha (Material Love)", and "My Philosophy", among others. Boogie Down Productions received numerous awards and critical acclaim in their early years. Following the release of the group's debut album, Criminal Minded, fellow artist Scott La Rock was shot and killed, but KRS-One continued the group, effectively as a solo project. He began releasing records under his own name in 1993. He is politically active, having started the Stop the Violence Movement after Scott's death. He's also a vegan activist, expressed in songs such as "Beef". He is widely considered an influence to many hip hop artists, including 2Pac and Eminem.
After five largely solo albums under the name "Boogie Down Productions," KRS-One decided to set out on his own. On his first solo album, 1993's Return of the Boom Bap, he worked together with producers DJ Premier, Kid Capri and Showbiz, the latter providing the catchy-yet-hardcore track "Sound of da Police". His second album, 1995's KRS-One, featured Channel Live on "Free Mumia", a song in which they criticize Civil Rights activist C. Delores Tucker among others. Other prominent guest stars on KRS-One included Mad Lion, Busta Rhymes, Das EFX and Fat Joe.
In 1997, KRS surprised many with his release of the album I Got Next. The shelved album was again scheduled to be released in 2008, but ultimately an unrelated album entitled Maximum Strength 2008 was released in its place. He moved to southern California, and stayed there for two years, ending his relationship with Jive Records with A Retrospective in 2000.
In 2000, KRS-One and DJ Tomekk made a video for their single Return of Hip-Hop with German rappers Torch and MC Rene, in which hip-hop was revived by hospital staff. The song stayed in the German charts for nine weeks.
KRS resigned from his A&R; position at Reprise in 2001, and returned to recording with a string of albums, beginning with 2001's The Sneak Attack on Koch Records. In 2002, he released a gospel-rap album, Spiritual Minded, surprising many longtime fans.

Lawrence "Kris" Parker (born August 20, 1965), better known by his stage names KRS-One, an abbreviation of Knowledge Reigning Supreme Over Nearly Everyone, and Teacha, is an American rapper and occasional producer from Bronx, New York. He rose to prominence as part of the hip hop music group Boogie Down Productions, which he formed with DJ Scott La Rock in the mid-1980s. KRS-One is best known for his top hits, "Sound of da Police", "Love's Gonna Get'cha (Material Love)", and "My Philosophy", among others. Boogie Down Productions received numerous awards and critical acclaim in their early years. Following the release of the group's debut album, Criminal Minded, fellow artist Scott La Rock was shot and killed, but KRS-One continued the group, effectively as a solo project. He began releasing records under his own name in 1993. He is politically active, having started the Stop the Violence Movement after Scott's death. He's also a vegan activist, expressed in songs such as "Beef". He is widely considered an influence to many hip hop artists, including 2Pac and Eminem.
After five largely solo albums under the name "Boogie Down Productions," KRS-One decided to set out on his own. On his first solo album, 1993's Return of the Boom Bap, he worked together with producers DJ Premier, Kid Capri and Showbiz, the latter providing the catchy-yet-hardcore track "Sound of da Police". His second album, 1995's KRS-One, featured Channel Live on "Free Mumia", a song in which they criticize Civil Rights activist C. Delores Tucker among others. Other prominent guest stars on KRS-One included Mad Lion, Busta Rhymes, Das EFX and Fat Joe.

At the beginning of 1999, former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was bombed by NATO member countries. One of the targets was building of the Army Headquarters in Belgrade.
Years have gone by.
For security reasons 13 years the humans did not carry out almost any works on Army Headquarters. But the nature did. Out of nothing, from concrete and dust, a tree grew. The real forest grew up on this building. Film “In the name of life 1999.” follows, in an unusual way, the growth of these trees and of one girl that was conceived while the bombs were falling on Belgrade.
15 years after the bombing, a part of the building was torn down and all the rooftop trees were cut down. All that remained was a single birch tree girl would look at every day on her way to school.
18 years after the bombing, in present day, girl and her friends, were all either born or inside our mums’ bellies while the bombs were falling, get a wish to take off birch tree from rooftop and planted. In the soil. Just like a proper tree.
With this film about the trees on the rooftops we want to draw, in a unique way, the attention of public to the fact that the nature is stronger than the all of us. That after all of us, and after all the bombs, the only thing that will remain will be – tree.
Now like monument in city park “Manjez”. Not to the bombs and bombing. But a monument to life. The life after the bombs.

Početkom 1999. Bivša jugoslavija je bombardovana od strane NATO pakta. Jedna od meta je bila i zgrada bivše komande velike Jugoslovenske armije u Beogradu. Prolazile su godine nakon bombardovanja.
13 godina iz bezbednosnih razloga ništa nije radjeno na zgradi pogodjenog Generalštaba. Ali je zato radila priroda. Iz ničega, prašine i betona, poraslo je drvo. Izrasla je prava šuma na krovu Generalštaba. Film „U ime života 1999.“ na specifičan način prati rast tog drveća i devojčice koja je začeta dok su padale bombe nad Beogradom.
15 godina nakon bombi deo zgrade je srušen iz bezbednosnih razloga a svo drveće je posečeno. Ostala je samo jedna breza u koju je devojčica gledala svakog dana dok je išla u školu. Danas, 18 godina posle bombi, devojčica i njeni drugari su poželeli da tu brezu neko skine sa krova i zasadi u gradski park. U zemlju, kao što dolikuje drvetu.
Ovim filmom o drveću na krovu želimo da skrenemo pažnju publike na činjenicu da je priroda jača od svih nas i svih bombi. Da će posle svih nas i posle svih bombi ostati samo – drvo.
Sada kao spomenik u gradskom parku „Manjež“. Ali ne spomenik bombama i bombardovanju. Već spomenik životu. Životu posle bombi.

Beni (Kevin J. O'Connor) gets cornered by the mummy during their first meeting.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Loosely adapted from the classic 1932 horror film starring Boris Karloff, The Mummy is set in Egypt, where over 3,000 years ago the high priest Imhotep (played by Arnold Vosloo) was given the all-important assignment of preparing the recently dead for their journey into the afterlife. However, Imhotep made one terrible mistake - he became smitten with Anck-Su-Namun, the mistress of the Pharaoh himself. Driven mad by jealousy and love, Imhotep murdered the Pharaoh, and his punishment was to be buried alive and suffer the torment of an eternal life in his wretched tomb. In 1925, a band of adventurers seeking fame and fortune - led by Rick O'Connel (Brendan Fraser), an American expatriate who has joined the foreign legion, and Evelyn Carnarvon (Rachel Weisz), an amateur archeologist - find a previously unknown burial site in Egypt. The team starts to dig, hoping to find lost riches, but instead they disturb the tomb of Imhotep, and soon the cursed priest rises from his grave to wreck vengeance on humanity. The Mummy was written and directed by Stephen Sommers, whose previous cinematic journeys into the past include The Jungle Book and The Adventures Of Huck Finn.

Hip Hop Lives is the collaborative album from MC KRS-One and producer Marley Marl. This is a historical album in the sense that 20 years ago, KRS and Marl were once bitter rivals involved in the legendary Bridge Wars. The album is a quasi-sequel to Nas' 2006 album Hip Hop Is Dead, not a criticism as its title suggests, as KRS-One is known to have agreed with Nas' declaration of rap music's "death". It also comes with a 22 minute behind-the-scenes video on the making of the album if bought on iTunes.
"It all happened with one phone call," Marley Marl told AllHipHop.com during a March 2006 interview. "They called me and he jumped on the phone and told me it would be spectacular for Hip Hop...My reason for doing this is to show these kids that [Hip Hop beefs] are not that serious." The first single is "Hip Hop Lives (I Come Back).

Lawrence "Kris" Parker (born August 20, 1965), better known by his stage names KRS-One, an abbreviation of Knowledge Reigning Supreme Over Nearly Everyone, and Teacha, is an American rapper and occasional producer from Bronx, New York. He rose to prominence as part of the hip hop music group Boogie Down Productions, which he formed with DJ Scott La Rock in the mid-1980s. KRS-One is best known for his top hits, "Sound of da Police", "Love's Gonna Get'cha (Material Love)", and "My Philosophy", among others. Boogie Down Productions received numerous awards and critical acclaim in their early years. Following the release of the group's debut album, Criminal Minded, fellow artist Scott La Rock was shot and killed, but KRS-One continued the group, effectively as a solo project. He began releasing records under his own name in 1993. He is politically active, having started the Stop the Violence Movement after Scott's death. He's also a vegan activist, expressed in songs such as "Beef". He is widely considered an influence to many hip hop artists, including 2Pac and Eminem.
After five largely solo albums under the name "Boogie Down Productions," KRS-One decided to set out on his own. On his first solo album, 1993's Return of the Boom Bap, he worked together with producers DJ Premier, Kid Capri and Showbiz, the latter providing the catchy-yet-hardcore track "Sound of da Police". His second album, 1995's KRS-One, featured Channel Live on "Free Mumia", a song in which they criticize Civil Rights activist C. Delores Tucker among others. Other prominent guest stars on KRS-One included Mad Lion, Busta Rhymes, Das EFX and Fat Joe.
In 1997, KRS surprised many with his release of the album I Got Next. The album's lead single, "Step into a World (Rapture's Delight)", containing an interpolation of punk and new wave group Blondie, was accompanied by a remix featuring commercial rap icon Puff Daddy; another track was essentially a rock song. While the record would be his best-selling solo album (reaching #3 on the Billboard 200), such collaborations with notably mainstream artists and prominent, easily recognizable samples took many fans and observers of the vehemently anti-mainstream KRS-One by surprise.
In August 1997, in an appearance on Tim Westwood's BBC Radio 1, KRS-One criticized the station for not playing underground hip hop while also crediting Westwood for his promotion of hip hop over time. KRS-One said that Jive Records and Radio 1 did not support him, but finished by saluting Westwood with "you know you're my man".
In 1999, there were tentative plans to release Maximum Strength; a lead single, "5 Boroughs", was released on The Corruptor movie soundtrack. However, KRS apparently decided to abort the album's planned release, just as he had secured a position as a Vice-President of A&R; at Reprise Records. The shelved album was again scheduled to be released in 2008, but ultimately an unrelated album entitled Maximum Strength 2008 was released in its place. He moved to southern California, and stayed there for two years, ending his relationship with Jive Records with A Retrospective in 2000.
In 2000, KRS-One and DJ Tomekk made a video for their single Return of Hip-Hop with German rappers Torch and MC Rene, in which hip-hop was revived by hospital staff. The song stayed in the German charts for nine weeks.
KRS resigned from his A&R; position at Reprise in 2001, and returned to recording with a string of albums, beginning with 2001's The Sneak Attack on Koch Records. In 2002, he released a gospel-rap album, Spiritual Minded, surprising many longtime fans.
