Elizabeth Ann Warren (née Herring; born June 22, 1949) is an American academic and politician, who is the senior U.S. Senator from Massachusetts. She is a member of the Democratic Party, and was previously a Harvard Law School professor specializing in bankruptcy law. A prominent legal scholar, Warren is among the most cited in the field of commercial law. She is an active consumer protection advocate whose scholarship led to the conception and establishment of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Warren has written a number of academic and popular works, and is a frequent subject of media interviews regarding the American economy and personal finance.
Following the 2008 financial crisis, Warren served as chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel created to oversee the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). She later served as Assistant to the President and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under President Barack Obama. During the late 2000s, she was recognized by publications such as the National Law Journal and the Time 100 as an increasingly influential public policy figure.
Peter David Schiff (/ˈʃɪf/; born March 23, 1963) is an American financial analyst, stockbroker, author, and one-time Senate candidate. He has appeared as a guest on numerous financial television shows and has been quoted in major print publications as a financial analyst and economist. He is host of The Peter Schiff Show, an audio show broadcast on terrestrial and Internet radio, and he was formerly host of an Internet podcast called Wall Street Unspun, now archived as podcasts.
Schiff's supporters state that he correctly warned about collapses in the housing and financial markets that led up to the financial crisis of 2007-08. However, since 2008, Schiff has made a series of discredited predictions of hyperinflation and economic ruin; for example, predicting that the price of gold would rise to $5,000 per ounce by 2015.
Professionally, Schiff is CEO and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., a broker-dealer based in Westport, Connecticut. He is founder of Euro Pacific Canada Inc., a Canadian registered global brokerage firm headquartered in Toronto, with offices in Burlington, Ontario; Montreal; Vancouver; and Tokyo. He is also founder and chairman of Euro Pacific Bank Ltd., offshore bank based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines; founder, CEO, and chairman of Euro Pacific Asset Management, LLC., a asset management company founded in Newport Beach, currently relocated to San Juan, Puerto Rico, since 2013; and founder and chairman of SchiffGold, a precious metals dealer based in Manhattan. He repeatedly expresses bearish views on the US economy and dollar and bullish views on commodities, gold, and foreign stocks and currencies.
Mark Thornton is an American economist of the Austrian School. He has written on the topic of prohibition of drugs, the economics of the American Civil War, and the "Skyscraper Index". He is a Senior Fellow with the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Alabama and a Research Fellow with the Independent Institute.
Thornton grew up in Geneva, New York in an Irish Catholic family of entrepreneurs who were "Democrat in politics".
Thornton received his B.S. from St. Bonaventure University (1982), and his Ph.D. from Auburn University (1989). Thornton taught economics at Auburn University. He formerly taught at Columbus State University and is now a Senior Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, where he is book review editor for its Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics. He has written about prohibition-related issues.
Thornton's first book, The Economics of Prohibition, was praised by Thornton's supervisor at the Mises Institute, its vice-president Murray Rothbard, who is quoted on the book cover of the 2007 edition as writing: "Thornton's book... arrives to fill an enormous gap, and it does so splendidly...This is an excellent work making an important contribution to scholarship as well as to the public policy debate." Reviewer David R. Henderson of the Hoover Institution wrote, "Thornton’s book contains much valuable information on prohibition and cites many sources. But the economically literate book on prohibition that makes a case for legalization has yet to be written."

Savings are only the debit side of money... "The String Theory of Money" by Alberto Veronese, January, 2016 https://fistfullfeed.wordpress.com/2016/02/13/the-string-theory-of-money/ Almost all money (coins, bills, tokens) have a debit on one side and a credit on the other side: the debit side is represented with a number, the facial value, the price. On the obverse there is a portrait with an inscription, representing the authority, the credit side, the issuer. The currency which is used for any financial transaction does not transfer solely the “debit side” of its double entry, it also transmits the “credit side”, the debt due to the issuer. That being the case, strictly, there is no transaction of money. The day-to-day currency of a country is always stringed to a monetary authority...
I guarantee you! Professor Galbraith won't be called back to CNBC. Peter Schiff obliterates the silly arguments of economist James Galbraith. Part of this video was from Alberto Veronese. For years now I have debunked all of Peter Schiff's claims. To the point I created the PSCI (Peter Schiff Clown . Any question who was right?

Worker interviewed about the strike at Mobile Rail Solutions. Filmed outside Union Pacific Global 1 yard on the west side of Chicago. From July 26th to 29th, Management at Mobile Rail Solutions fired three workers actively engaged in unionizing efforts. The termination of these organizers is a direct attack on their Union drive and apparent retaliation for their recent OSHA filings. Management then threatened to continue firing workers showing no respect for their employees or labor law. In response, the workers have self-organized a strike and will be picketing at Union Pacific's Global 1 location in Chicago, Illinois. They demand a meeting with Mobile Rail's general manager to discuss the recent wave of Unfair Labor Practices and for the reinstatement of their three fired workers. Wit...
For the first time in 40 years, Charlestonians will elect a new mayor. As an active member of local politics, the Coastal Conservation League invited all of the mayoral candidates to be interviewed in hopes of learning how they plan to incorporate conservation into their work as mayor. We had the pleasure of interviewing Ginny Deerin, William Dudley Gregorie, Toby Smith, John Tecklenburg, Paul Tinkler, and Maurice Washington–all of the candidates except Leon Stavrinakis, who declined our invitation to participate. Each candidate answered the same set of questions on five topics that relate to the League's work in the City of Charleston. We are presenting the videos of their responses on our website by topic for our membership and the public to view. We hope you enjoy getting to know the c...
FBN's Peter Barnes and Kevin Kelly, Recon Capital CIO, discuss an exclusive interview in which New York Federal Reserve President William Dudley said a rate hike could come in September, though any decision depends on economic data.
Lately, investors are selling off the US dollar as they have been increasingly pessimistic about the prospects of the nearest rate hike by the US Federal Reserve. Yesterday, President of New York Federal Reserve Bank William Dudley gave the market-moving interview that boosted the dollar. Yesterday, the dollar/yen pair was trading at a record low since June 24, when the Brexit vote pushed the pair into the downward spiral. Judging by the dynamic of the currency pair, the ongoing situation in the world caused the same degree of alarm in financial markets. Apparently, investors do not expect positive clues in the minutes of the August monetary policy meeting that will be released today. William Dudley expressed his viewpoint that was a verbal intervention capable of changing market sentime...

It's funny what you find lying around, isn't it? Whilst most of us would be happy finding our favourite long-lost jumper, or that elusive second sock, during a tidy up here at Network HQ we stumbled upon something even better. An incredibly rare interview with legendary actor and comedian Kenneth Williams. The footage, that offers an extensive and fascinating insight into the man himself, is from the Network archive of interviews from The Electric Theatre Show, much of it previously unseen. The interview took place in the late 70s during the filming of The Hound of the Baskervilles in which Williams plays Sir Henry Baskerville alongside Peter Cook and Dudley Moore who play Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively.
