Plot Summary: All the Wrong Reasons is an ensemble film about four co-workers at a big box department store. Since witnessing a tragic family event, Kate has kept herself as isolated as physically possible, even at work. Her husband James, the store's ambitious manager, does his best to force Kate out of her shell but Kate wants her world to remain exactly as it is. Missing intimacy, James becomes close with Nicole, a cashier who is holding onto what's left of her youth while juggling single motherhood. When a new temp employee is hired, his presence shakes up the whole store, for all the wrong reasons.

Synopsis:
JONAH FINN owes poker money. A lot. Later, after yet another eye exam, Aurora’s doctor delivers the news to Jonah in private: she’s going completely blind. Unable to tell her the truth, Jonah takes Aurora on a dangerous road trip to remote Churchill, Manitoba. His motivation is two-fold: flee from danger, and assuage his guilt by showing her the Northern Lights – the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen in his life - before she loses her vision completely. With Tubby on their trail, Jonah and Aurora are forced to finally confront their complicated pasts, on their way to a climactic showdown with Tubby in the deadly cold waters of Churchill.

Recorded on March 25, 2010 at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts, Montreal Quebec
The first installment of the film series, Jazz, Period., this performance features Montreal's best working Jazz musicians playing on rare period instruments. In this performance, Kevin Dean and Al McLean have been asked to play ornate horns dating to the 1920's. Dean, a 1929 Conn Bb/A trumpet, and McLean on a highly engraved 1920 Martin C Melody saxophone.
The instruments were carefully restored for this project, and were the catalyst for the film.
"I'm always interested in connections between the past and present", says Cole. "The old instruments really bring the past alive, and we can hear the origins of the music, even in the contemporary context the players create."
Cole acknowledges the challenge of having professional musicians quickly adapt to unfamiliar instruments. "The players were very gracious to play on horns that weren't their own. The result was quite special, there is a certain kind of spontaneity, and unpredictability to the performance. In some ways, it's really in the spirit of improvised music."
The original waltz by trumpeter Kevin Dean unfolds beautifully, with an almost palpable air of tension woven through the distinctive musical fabric. Emotional texture is carved masterfully from the form, with taut pedal bass and explosive improvisations by McLean and Dean that launch and land with a Miles/Coltrane-like brooding. Contemporary Jazz just does not get any better than this.
The performance was recorded in the landmark Montreal edifice designed by Architect Phyllis Lambert. As Dean's composition offers a framework for the artists to improvise within, the Modernist building is also deliberately structural, with a simple, skeletal framework housing a bustling hub of artistic activity.
The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is a cherished heritage building in a city that loves its history and culture. No wonder such musicians are to be found here, there is an audience for the finest in this venerable city - fine Jazz, food, architecture. It is said that Montreal is an anomaly in North American culture. There may not be any other city that can nurture a Jazz scene of such caliber and accessibility. When the Montreal International Jazz Festival subsides, these guys are just getting started...

Well known friends and supporters include Colm Tóibín, Sebastian Barry, Mary Coughlan. In 1993 he had a famous run in with the Catholic Church when he spoke out in support of Phyllis Hamilton and her children after the Catholic Church denied that her two children were fathered by Fr. Michael Cleary. Ivor’s life is the subject of the 2017 documentary film ‘Meetings with Ivor’ directed by Alan Gilsenan and produced by Tómas Hardiman.

Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Santy, or simply Santa is a mythical figure with historical origins who, in many Western cultures, brings gifts to the homes of well-behaved, "good" children on Christmas Eve (24 December) and the early morning hours of Christmas Day (25 December). The modern Santa Claus is derived from the British figure of Father Christmas, the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas, and Saint Nicholas, the historical Greek bishop and gift-giver of Myra. During the Christianization of Germanic Europe, this figure may also have absorbed elements of the god Odin, who was associated with the Germanic pagan midwinter event of Yule and led the Wild Hunt, a ghostly procession through the sky.
Santa Claus is generally depicted as a portly, joyous, white-bearded man—sometimes with spectacles—wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots and who carries a bag full of gifts for children. Images of him rarely have a beard with no moustache. This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of the 1823 poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas" and of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast. This image has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, children's books and films.

Silent Night
"Silent Night" (German: Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht) is a popular Christmas carol, composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr in the small town of Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria. It was declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2011. The song has been recorded by a large number of singers from every music genre. The version sung by Bing Crosby is the third best-selling single of all-time.
History
The song was first performed on Christmas Eve 1818 at St Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a village in the Austrian Empire on the Salzach river in present-day Austria. A young priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had come to Oberndorf the year before. He had already written the lyrics of the song "Stille Nacht" in 1816 at Mariapfarr, the hometown of his father in the Salzburg Lungau region, where Joseph had worked as a coadjutor.
The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. Before Christmas Eve, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for the church service. Both performed the carol during the mass on the night of December 24.

Less Than Kind
Less Than Kind is a Canadian television comedy-drama series that stars Jesse Camacho as Sheldon Blecher, a teenager growing up in a loving but dysfunctional Jewish family in Winnipeg. The show's cast also includes Maury Chaykin and Wendel Meldrum as Sheldon's parents, Benjamin Arthur as his older brother Josh, and Nancy Sorel as his aunt Clara. The Blechers struggle to operate a driving school out of their home in Winnipeg's fading North End. Less Than Kind made its debut October 13, 2008, on Citytv, and moved to HBO Canada in February 2010.
The ensemble cast of the critically acclaimed series won Canadian Comedy Awards in 2009 and 2010.Less Than Kind received the 2010 Gemini Award for Best Comedy Program or Series and the inaugural award for Best Comedy Series at the 1st Canadian Screen Awards.
The title sequence and logo for Less Than Kind were inspired by an iconic highway sign at Winnipeg's Confusion Corner intersection, depicting arrows pointing in every direction.
The name of the series is found in the first line spoken by Hamlet (Act 1, Scene 2): "A little more than kin, and less than kind."

In this performance, Kevin Dean and Al McLean have been asked to play ornate horns dating to the 1920's. Dean, a 1929 Conn Bb/A trumpet, and McLean on a highly engraved 1920 Martin C Melody saxophone. The instruments were carefully restored for this project, and were the catalyst for the film. "I'm always interested in connections between the past and present", says Cole. "The old instruments really bring the past alive, and we can hear the origins of the music, even in the contemporary context the players create." Cole acknowledges the challenge of having professional musicians quickly adapt to unfamiliar instruments. "The players were very gracious to play on horns that weren't their own. The result was quite special, there is a certain kind of spontaneity, and unpredictability to the performance. In some ways, it's really in the spirit of improvised music." The original waltz by trumpeter Kevin Dean unfolds beautifully, with an almost palpable air of tension woven through the distinctive musical fabric. Emotional texture is carved masterfully from the form, with taut pedal bass and explosive improvisations by McLean and Dean that launch and land with a Miles/Coltrane-like brooding. Contemporary Jazz just does not get any better than this. The performance was recorded in the landmark Montreal edifice designed by Architect Phyllis Lambert. As Dean's composition offers a framework for the artists to improvise within, the Modernist building is also deliberately structural, with a simple, skeletal framework housing a bustling hub of artistic activity. The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is a cherished heritage building in a city that loves its history and culture. No wonder such musicians are to be found here, there is an audience for the finest in this venerable city - fine Jazz, food, architecture. It is said that Montreal is an anomaly in North American culture. There may not be any other city that can nurture a Jazz scene of such caliber and accessibility. When the Montreal International Jazz Festival subsides, these guys are just getting started... Educated in Harvard, he is known for his opposition to traditional psychiatry, and his scepticism about psychiatric drugs. Browne has experimented with LSD as part of therapeutic process. Well known friends and supporters include Colm Tóibín, Sebastian Barry, Mary Coughlan. In 1993 he had a famous run in with the Catholic Church when he spoke out in support of Phyllis Hamilton and her children after the Catholic Church denied that her two children were fathered by Fr. Michael Cleary. Ivor’s life is the subject of the 2017 documentary film ‘Meetings with Ivor’ directed by Alan Gilsenan and produced by Tómas Hardiman. Exploring the daily life of a large family in Yorkshire, 'We of the West Riding' shows both their work at the textile mills and their varied leisure pursuits. Trivia: The Sykes family was largely played by members of the Coldwell family. Five of the eight children, however, were away at war at the time of filming, and so members of the local amateur dramatics group the Halifax Thespians (also seen in the film) played the absent family members. Novelist Phyllis Bentley (who wrote the script for We of the West Riding) was, at the time of filming, the president of the Halifax Thespians, whose production of The Importance of Being Earnest can be seen in the film. The Hallelujah Chorus at the end of We of the West Riding is sung by the Huddersfield Choral Society and the Holme Valley Male Choir, the former of which went on to record Handel's Messiah in 1946. The Black Dyke Mills Band is also seen performing. Exploring the daily life of a large family in Yorkshire, 'We of the West Riding' shows both their work at the textile mills and their varied leisure pursuits. Trivia: The Sykes family was largely played by members of the Coldwell family. Five of the eight children, however, were away at war at the time of filming, and so members of the local amateur dramatics group the Halifax Thespians (also seen in the film) played the absent family members. Novelist Phyllis Bentley (who wrote the script for We of the West Riding) was, at the time of filming, the president of the Halifax Thespians, whose production of The Importance of Being Earnest can be seen in the film. Recorded on March 25, 2010 at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts, Montreal Quebec
The first installment of the film series, Jazz, Period., this performance features Montreal's best working Jazz musicians playing on rare period instruments. In this performance, Kevin Dean and Al McLean have been asked to play ornate horns dating to the 1920's. Dean, a 1929 Conn Bb/A trumpet, and McLean on a highly engraved 1920 Martin C Melody saxophone.
The instruments were carefully restored for this project, and were the catalyst for the film.
"I'm always interested in connections between the past and present", says Cole. "The old instruments really bring the past alive, and we can hear the origins of the music, even in the contemporary context the players create."
Cole acknowledges the challenge of having professional musicians quickly adapt to unfamiliar instruments. "The players were very gracious to play on horns that weren't their own. The result was quite special, there is a certain kind of spontaneity, and unpredictability to the performance. In some ways, it's really in the spirit of improvised music."
The original waltz by trumpeter Kevin Dean unfolds beautifully, with an almost palpable air of tension woven through the distinctive musical fabric. Emotional texture is carved masterfully from the form, with taut pedal bass and explosive improvisations by McLean and Dean that launch and land with a Miles/Coltrane-like brooding. Contemporary Jazz just does not get any better than this.
The performance was recorded in the landmark Montreal edifice designed by Architect Phyllis Lambert. As Dean's composition offers a framework for the artists to improvise within, the Modernist building is also deliberately structural, with a simple, skeletal framework housing a bustling hub of artistic activity.
The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is a cherished heritage building in a city that loves its history and culture. No wonder such musicians are to be found here, there is an audience for the finest in this venerable city - fine Jazz, food, architecture. It is said that Montreal is an anomaly in North American culture. There may not be any other city that can nurture a Jazz scene of such caliber and accessibility. When the Montreal International Jazz Festival subsides, these guys are just getting started...

In 1993 he had a famous run in with the Catholic Church when he spoke out in support of Phyllis Hamilton and her children after the Catholic Church denied that her two children were fathered by Fr. Michael Cleary. Ivor’s life is the subject of the 2017 documentary film ‘Meetings with Ivor’ directed by Alan Gilsenan and produced by Tómas Hardiman.

Exploring the daily life of a large family in Yorkshire, 'We of the West Riding' shows both their work at the textile mills and their varied leisure pursuits.
Trivia:
The Sykes family was largely played by members of the Coldwell family. Five of the eight children, however, were away at war at the time of filming, and so members of the local amateur dramatics group the Halifax Thespians (also seen in the film) played the absent family members.
Novelist Phyllis Bentley (who wrote the script for We of the West Riding) was, at the time of filming, the president of the Halifax Thespians, whose production of The Importance of Being Earnest can be seen in the film.
The Hallelujah Chorus at the end of We of the West Riding is sung by the Huddersfield Choral Society and the Holme Valley Male Choir, the former of which went on to record Handel's Messiah in 1946. The Black Dyke Mills Band is also seen performing.

Exploring the daily life of a large family in Yorkshire, 'We of the West Riding' shows both their work at the textile mills and their varied leisure pursuits. Trivia: The Sykes family was largely played by members of the Coldwell family. Five of the eight children, however, were away at war at the time of filming, and so members of the local amateur dramatics group the Halifax Thespians (also seen in the film) played the absent family members. Seth Farber Ph.D Dr. Seth Farber, is a psychologist (he received his doctorate in 1984), a social activist (both in the human rights and anti-war movements) and founder of the Network Against Coercive Psychiatry. He has had four books published previously, including a book critiquing Zionism, and numerous essays and articles. A critic of the mental health system, he has been a guest on many television and radio shows. His first book Madness, Heresy and the Rumor of Angels:The Revolt Against the Mental Health System(Open Court, Chicago, 1993) contained a foreword by Thomas Szasz. The publication of his book Lunching with Lunatics: Adventures of a Renegade Psychologist has been temporarily postponed due to circumstances beyond his control. (See excerpts.) Dr Farber is also an editor of the pioneering review The Journal of Mind and Behavior, and is currently working on a book on "mad liberation" and the new spirituality. Farber founded the Network Against Coercive Psychiatry in 1988.

Progressive Rock multi-instrumentalist/singer/ songwriter/ producer/ engineer/ pioneer/ BILLY SHERWOOD who is the current bass player in the band YES and will be touring with the band throughout 2015. Billy Sherwood was a key part of the line-ups which created the YES albums OPEN YOUR EYES, THE LADDER and was also part of the TALK tour. He recently mixed the band’s HEAVEN AND EARTH album and 2 subsequent DVDs.
Billy is also the founder of the progressive rock band CIRCA with original Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye. And So On is the band’s third release and greatest innovative achievement to date.
Billy Sherwood was born in Las Vegas Nevada and into a showbiz family of talented musicians. His father was big band leader/musician/actor Bobby Sherwood -his mother Phyllis was a singer and a drummer and his brother Michael a singer and keyboardist. Now if that hadn’t convinced anyone that they were indeed a showbiz family how about the fact that his Godfather was legendary comedian Milton Berle.
