Basílica de Luján - Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina (HD)
La Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Luján se erige en la ciudad de Luján, a unos 70 km al oeste de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, en la provincia de Buenos Aires. Imponente monumento de fe, característico del siglo XIII y uno de los más importantes casos del estilo neogótico de Argentina, junto con las catedrales de La Plata y San Isidro y la iglesia de los Capuchinos en la ciudad de Córdoba. Es un error frecuente el considerarla catedral de la diócesis a la que pertenece, ya que aquella se encuentra en la ciudad de Mercedes. Está dedicada a Nuestra Señora de Luján, la patrona de la Argentina. Por este motivo, es también considerado el Santuario Nacional de Argentina. Tiene una longitud de 104 m y su ancho es de 68,5 m en el crucero y de 42 m en el frente.1 Posee dos torres de 106 m de altura, con una gran cruz en cada una.2 Tiene un gran órgano, obra de la firma francesa Mutin - Cavaillé Coll, que posee la presión de aire más alta de los órganos argentinos, en parte para llenar de sonido la enorme nave de la Basílica.

112. Mary, image of the Church, the Bride without spot or wrinkle, which by imitating you "preserves with virginal purity an integral faith, a firm hope and a sincere charity", sustain consecrated persons on their journey towards the sole and eternal Blessedness.
(00:21) To you, Virgin of the Visitation, do we entrust them, that they may go forth to meet human needs, to bring help, but above all to bring Jesus. Teach them to proclaim the mighty things which the Lord accomplishes in the world, that all peoples may extol the greatness of his name.

In the culture and practice of some Christian Churches - mainly, but not solely, the Roman Catholic Church - a Shrine to the Virgin Mary (or Marian shrine) is a shrine marking an apparition or other miracle ascribed to the Blessed Virgin Mary, or a site on which is centered a historically strong Marian devotion. Such locales are often the destination of pilgrimages
Some of the largest shrines are due to reported Marian apparitions to young and simple people on remote hilltops that had hardly been heard of prior to the reported apparition. The case of Saint Juan Diego's reported vision of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1531 is similar to the case of Saint Bernadette Soubirous's vision in 1858 of Our Lady of Lourdes. Both saints reported a miraculous Lady on a hilltop who asked them to request that the local priests build a chapel at the site of the vision. Both visions included a reference to roses and led to large churches being built at the sites. Like Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, Our Lady of Lourdes is a major Catholic symbol in France. Both visionaries were eventually declared saints.

Mary, image of the Church, the Bride without spot or wrinkle, which by imitating you "preserves with virginal purity an integral faith, a firm hope and a sincere charity", sustain consecrated persons on their journey towards the sole and eternal Blessedness. (00:21) To you, Virgin of the Visitation, do we entrust them, that they may go forth to meet human needs, to bring help, but above all to bring Jesus. Teach them to proclaim the mighty things which the Lord accomplishes in the world, that all peoples may extol the greatness of his name. 112. Mary, image of the Church, the Bride without spot or wrinkle, which by imitating you "preserves with virginal purity an integral faith, a firm hope and a sincere charity", sustain consecrated persons on their journey towards the sole and eternal Blessedness.
(00:21) To you, Virgin of the Visitation, do we entrust them, that they may go forth to meet human needs, to bring help, but above all to bring Jesus. Teach them to proclaim the mighty things which the Lord accomplishes in the world, that all peoples may extol the greatness of his name.
(00:37) Support them in their work for the poor, the hungry, those without hope, the little ones and all who seek your Son with a sincere heart. To you, our Mother, who desire the spiritual and apostolic renewal of your sons and daughters in a response of love and complete dedication to Christ, we address our confident prayer.
(00:58) You who did the will of the Father, ever ready in obedience, courageous in poverty and receptive in fruitful virginity, obtain from your divine Son that all who have received the gift of following him in the consecrated life may be enabled to bear witness to that gift by their transfigured lives, as they joyfully make their way with all their brothers and sisters towards our heavenly homeland and the light which will never grow dim. Inetnon Gefpa'go Returns To The Origins Of Our Creation
This is a video I put together of a hike we took with Inetnon Gefpa'go to Fouha Bay. The rock at Fouha Bay is known to be the site of creation which life and everything we know came into existence through our sainas Puntan and Fu'una. Although Inetnon Gefpa'go perform dances and chants about the creation story and puntan and fu'una, none of them have been to our origins of creation. So this was a first time for all of them, even a few of the hike leaders. While we were at the site we prayed, chanted, gave offerings, and did a reflections of the story of Puntan and Fu'una and what this whole experience means to each and every one of us. This is a video I put together of a hike we took with Inetnon Gefpa'go to Fouha Bay. The rock at Fouha Bay is known to be the site of creation which life and everything we know came into existence through our sainas Puntan and Fu'una. Although Inetnon Gefpa'go perform dances and chants about the creation story and puntan and fu'una, none of them have been to our origins of creation. So this was a first time for all of them, even a few of the hike leaders. While we were at the site we prayed, chanted, gave offerings, and did a reflections of the story of Puntan and Fu'una and what this whole experience means to each and every one of us. There was definitely growth in all of us this day and we could only hope that this experience has helped these youth learn something about themselves and where they came from giving them a place to plant their roots and feel a sense of identity. This was an experience I wish all Chamoru people and people who live on our island would experience. There are more hikes to be planned so stay tuned for future videos. Saina Ma'ase Puntan yan Fu'una
