Partimos rumbo al sur de Madagascar en lo que será una de las rutas más duras de la vuelta al mundo en moto.
Pero antes pasamos tres semanas en Tulear, última ciudad importante al suroeste de Madagascar y que convertimos en cuartel general por un tiempo. La vida nómada requiere de paradas largas, tiempo que se aprovecha para trabajar, preparar la ruta que viene, reparar el equipo o simplemente descansar.
En eso consiste nuestra vida durante unos días. Gemma prepara una pieza para CNN sobre una familia de pescadores en Ankilibe, un pueblo pesquero cercano. Entre tanto vamos haciendo compras, todo lo necesario para la ruta que nos espera y que será más dura de lo habitual. También intentamos averiguar todo lo posible para hacernos una idea real de lo que nos espera, que no es fácil.
Finalmente pasamos por el taller para dar el mimo necesario a las motos.
Y por fin, emprendemos viaje. No os separéis mucho de youtube que lo bueno acaba de empezar.
We have spent 3 weeks in Tulear, the most south-west important city in Madagascar. Nomad live demand to stop sometimes to rest, fix things or work.
Gemma has been shoting and writing for CNN and we have been also investing about the route to the south that can be dangerous.
Finally we fix the motorbikes and we leave Tulear.

Heading South
Heading South (French: Vers le sud) is a 2005 French drama film by director Laurent Cantet and based on three short stories by Dany Laferrière, it depicts the experiences of three middle-aged white women in the late 1970s, traveling to Haiti for the purposes of sexual tourism with young men. Their adventures (as seen in their eyes) are juxtaposed with class issues and the deteriorating political climate of Haiti at the time. The women demonstrate different attitudes to the complex situation.
Plot
Ellen, played by Charlotte Rampling, is a professor of French literature at Wellesley College in Boston, Brenda, a stay-at-home wife from Savannah, Georgia; and Sue, a factory worker from Quebec, Canada, feel lonely and ignored by middle-aged men back at home. They travel to Haiti to enjoy a holiday of sun, surf, and sex with attractive local teenagers to whom they are financially generous.

BEWARE!!! Crossing Vanderbilt Rd heading south on Middle Bellville
This can be a DANGEROUS intersection during the growing season. Drivers heading East on Vanderbilt need to watch their speed for crossing traffic, actually there should be a sign to slow drivers down, don't know how many times I have turned left onto Vanderbilt coming from the North to nearly getting hit. In this instance it appears someone was crossing and a driver slid off the road hitting a boulder in the front yard of this home. As you will see Highway Patrol here are changing this young ladies tire as she must have compromised it or flattened it on this rock. IF you are NOT familiar with this road, SLOW DOWN ON THE CURVES!!!!!
