Little is a surname in the English language. The name is ultimately derived from the Middle English littel, and the Old English lȳtel, which mean "little". In some cases the name was originally a nickname for a little man. In other cases, the name was used to distinguish the younger of two bearers of the same personal name. Early records of the name include: Litle, in 972; Litle, in about 1095; and le Lytle, in 1296. The surname has absorbed several non English-language surnames. For example, Little is sometimes a translation of the Irish Ó Beagáin, meaning "descendant of Beagán". Little can also be a translation of the French Petit and Lepetit, as well as other surnames in various languages with the same meaning ("little"), especially the German name Klein during World War II.
The Scots-English language name Bruce arrived in Scotland with the Normans, from the place name Brix of the Manche département in Normandy, France, meaning "the willowlands". Initially promulgated via the descendants of King Robert I of Scotland (Robert the Bruce) (1274-1329), it has been a Scottish surname since medieval times; it is now a common given name.
The variant Lebrix and Le Brix are French variations of the surname.

Relevant engagement with unbelievers in the 21st century is hard. This talk will examine and share the unique apologetic approach of the late Francis Schaeffer. Schaeffer lived and ministered the Gospel in Switzerland, among those with an existentialist worldview. And because Existentialism and Postmodernity overlap in their approach to life, Schaeffer’s apologetic is all too relevant for our now Postmodern world. In this talk, we will discuss how Schaeffer, the so-called “missionary to the European intellectual” would engage unbelievers in the 21st century. - See more at: http://www.foclonline.org/
This talk addresses the possibility of using the universal features of humanity as a way to engage the unbeliever for the sake of the Gospel. This talk considers the universal features of humanity such as language, judgment, intentionality, and morality that reveal the way this world is ordered. The purpose of the talk is to consider how this surprising and unique phenomenon might be used to engage in evangelistic conversation with the unbeliever. See more at http://www.FOCLonline.org

Today's interview is with Dr. Bruce Little, Associate Professor of Philosophy of Religion at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also author of A Creation-Order Theodicy: God and Gratuitous Evil. He talks about how he got into apologetics and philosophy of religion (after being a pastor for 30 years), the subject of evil and theodicy, the common approaches to theodicy, his insights into the subject, and strategies and advice for Christian apologists. From Brucebase: Bruce (and several E-Streeters) with Southside Johnny in the early hours of August 31 (1978) following their gig at the Richfield Coliseum. Springsteen only features on the three songs listed above, but Garry Tallent and Clarence Clemons stuck around for at least one more song, "Stagger Lee", video footage of which also circulates. A fan present writes, "We were at the Agora on August 31. We had tried desperately to get tickets for Bruce that night at the Coliseum but it got sold out. The Agora gig was actually a Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes gig that started about three hours late because, as Southside stated, they had to wait for their lead guitarist (Miami Steve) to get done with another gig across town. Bruce joined the band in the second set and they rocked int...

This talk asks what we should and should not expect from theistic arguments. The purpose of this talk is to identify the issues and/or questions our contemporary non-Christian fellow human travelers have and then examine how that should influence how we approach the non-Christian with the Christian message. See more at http://www.FOCLonline.org
Today many evangelistic-minded evangelicals often find themselves somewhat discouraged by the diminishing returns on their evangelistic efforts. The typical evangelical strategy is to craft another “how to” seminar, engage in slick advertising, or employ the language of those who have the ear of culture. This talk, however, suggests other possibilities by examining how Christians relate to the thinking of the world and whether or not Christian answers are addressing contemporary questions in a way that presents the distinctiveness of Christian answers. This includes a brief discussion of why so often the non-believer thinks the Christian message has no value. See more at http://www.FOCLonline.org

Twila Paris
Seems like you know when I need you
Seems like He knows who to send
You never come as a prophet
Just an open hearted friend
Faithfully wounding my pride
Bringing me back to His side
Sharing the Word that you hide in your heart
Chorus
You are a true friend
Pointing me to Him
Lifting my downcast eyes
Turning my gaze to the sky
Probing your love again
You are a true friend
You are a true friend
Some days I feel like a failure
And I'd love to leave it all
I see no reason to go on
That's when you decide to call
Making it simple and clear
That's why your voice is so dear
My heart takes courage from hearing you say
