The KTM 300 is a series of two-stroke enduro off-road motorcycles made by KTM. They are the Penton-inspired 1984 300 GS, the 300 DMX, the dirt only 300 MXC, European road legal 300 EXC and their current US counterparts the 300 XC (close-ratio) and 300 XC-W (wide-ratio gear box) respectively. The KTM 300 is designed for difficult off-road conditions. The 300 EXC and the 300 XC-W have a small headlight, speedometer, tail-light and somewhat softer suspension. Starting in 2008 all 300's came with electric start.
The original 300GS Enduro grew out of the experience with 250 cc Penton Hare Scrambler and other KTM air cooled 2-stroke endure bikes. Since the 1986 rules for the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) for the open class allowed any bike larger that 250 cc, KTM started work on a water cooled over-250 cc for the open class. They essentially bored their 250 out to 273 cc and called it a 300. This version of the 300 was discontinued in 1987. KTM also tried sleeving down their 500 cc two-stroke to 350 cc calling it the 350GS, but the left side kick-starter and the right side chain were not popular.
The KTM 200 consists a series of two-stroke off-road enduro motorcycles made by KTM, the European, road legal 200 EXC, and the 200 XC-W for the US market being the current versions. The 200 attempts to combine the agility of a 125 cc class motorcycle with the power of a 250 cc. As a small bore enduro bike it is equipped with a wide-ratio gear box.
The 1997 KTM Jackpiner 200 LE was a limited production run of the first 200 cc KTM. It was built to commerate the 30th anniversary of the first Penton KTM motorcycle. It came with Penton blue plastics and John Penton's signature on a sticker attached to the front fender. It was outfitted with Ohlin Forks and was the first bike with PDS no-linkage rear suspension developed by Ohlin, and was also one of the first bikes to incorporate a hydraulic clutch. A year later the first production KTM 200 MXC was fitted with Marzocchi 45 forks and the trademark orange plastics.
The 2000 EXC was upgraded to 43 mm inverted forks with 295 mm of wheel travel. The White Power rear shock and PDS no-linkage suspension combine to provide 300 mm of wheel travel.

Hexum, Sexton, Mahoney and Wills
We groove so fuckin' hard it gives you the chills
Well I've been stricken
The bass is kickin'
When suckers step to me, boy, I give them a lickin'
Chorus
Cosmic Utopian Thrivin' Mission, my baby
Cosmic Utopian Thrivin' Mission, my baby
I feel good
Yo bad self
Well, I am the Hexum, call me Nick
I live by the code of cosmic
I've come to say, we're here to stay
Utopian way we'll play today
We've got the drive, we are so live
Won't take a dive, we're gonna thrive
We got a condition called ambition
To the cosmic utopian thrivin' mission
Chorus
Witness this, yo the pissed lyricist
In your face celebratin' a brand new race
We know colors are just brothers and some others
Drive on the ginger but they failed to mention
The consequence of no conscience
You can't fool, I'm schoolin' you with the new school
Now speakin on a round, step back mother fucker, I'm goin' to town
Chorus
I feel good
Break it down
I got one more rhyme
Yes, the verbs I got
They hit that spot
The crowd is freakin'
And bro., I'm peekin'
When I'm on stage, you're havin' a fit
But without my brothers, baby, I ain't shit
Chorus
