Sally Brown is the younger sister of Charlie Brown in the comic strip Peanuts by Charles Schulz. She was first mentioned in early 1959 and throughout a long series of strips before her first appearance in August 1959. Kathy Steinberg was the first to voice Sally in 1965.
Sally has flipped blonde hair with a cluster of curls and she wears a polka dot dress. In the TV specials the dress is colored light blue while sometimes it is pink. In the winter, and most of the time in the later years of the strip, she switched to a shirt and pants. Sally has a "take it easy" approach to life, preferring to slide by while doing as little work as possible. Her favorite past time is sitting in her beanbag chair watching TV. One summer, Sally actually went to "beanbag camp," which consisted of nothing but lazing around in beanbags, eating snack foods and watching TV (causing her to get fat as a result). Sally has a good heart and a strong moral sense; like her older brother she is extremely sensitive to the unfairness of life. Charlie Brown usually goes to Lucy in her psychiatric booth when he is feeling depressed, but Sally prefers to confide her troubles to the school building, which is very protective of her and will drop a brick on anyone who does not treat her nicely.
Sally Brown (1982 – 2000) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. She was owned and bred by Robert Cowell and trained by Michael Stoute. She did not race as a juvenile but emerged as a top-class middle-distance performer in 1985, winning three of her six races including the Ribblesdale Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks. She was retired at the end of the season and had modest success as a broodmare.
Sally Brown was a "lengthy, angular" chestnut mare with a narrow white blaze and bred by her owner Robert Cowell at his Chevington Stud in Newmarket, Suffolk. She was one of the best horses sired by Posse, a Kentucky-bred stallion who won the St. James's Palace Stakes and Sussex Stakes in 1980. Posse's other progeny included the Coronation Cup winner Sheriff's Star. Sally Brown's dam Unsuspected was a successful racemare who won eight races between 1974 and 1976. As a broodmare she produced several other winners including Shoot Clear (Waterford Candelabra Stakes), Untold and Mohican Girl (Gala Stakes). She lived until the exceptionally advanced age (for a Thoroughbred) of 36, dying in June 2008.
Sally Brown (born 26 June 1995) is a Paralympian athlete from Northern Ireland competing mainly in T46 sprint events. In 2012 she qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics and was selected for the T46 100m and 200m sprints.
Brown was born in Londonderry in Northern Ireland and grew up in the village of Ballykelly. She was born with dysmelia in her lower arms which resulted in her left arm not fully developing. She was educated at Limavady High School before moving to Loughborough in England in 2013.
Brown took up athletics for enjoyment as a nine-year-old. She joined Springwell Runners and began entering junior competitions. In 2009 she took on Phillip Tweedy as her coach and the next year she took silver in the IWAS World Junior Championships in Olomouc in the Czech Republic.
Brown's time in the 100m and 200m sprint continued to impress and in January 2011, at the age of 15, she was selected for the Great Britain squad to compete in the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand. In Christchurch she qualified through the heats of both the 100m and 200m T46 sprints. In the finals Brown finished sixth in the 100m, and third in the 200m securing the bronze medal. In April 2011 she travelled to Dubai to take part in her second IWAS World Junior Championships, winning gold in the 100m and silver in the 200m.

Christy springs this request for an old Sweeney's "Sea Shanty" on Andy which results in everyone cracking up! The banter at the start of this video is an edited version of the original 1980 recording, where after Christy asks "Do you remember how it goes", Andy goes on at some length to explain how this song was a "Sea Shanty" and that sailors would sing this in unison whilst "Pulling on their Capstans"!!!!! Donal & Christy found this hilarious and they were obviously in no fit state to continue to play, so to quieten things down, Andy went on to describe how he actually played in The Abbey Tavern, with Sweeney's Men, and in the middle of a long ballad, Johnny Moynihan leaned over to him and whispered, "Andy, do you know there's not a single person in the room listening to you". He ...

Lyrics: Shipped on board a Liverpool liner, Way hey roll on board; Well, I rolled all night and I rolled all day, I'm gonna spend my money on Sally Brown. Miss Sally Brown is a fine young lady, Way hey roll on board; Well, I rolled all night and I rolled all day, I'm gonna spend my money on Sally Brown. Her mother doesn't like the tarry sailor, Way hey roll on board; Well, I rolled all night and I rolled all day, I'm gonna spend my money on Sally Brown. She wants her to marry the one-legged captain, Way hey roll on board; Well, I rolled all night and I rolled all day, I'm gonna spend my money on Sally Brown. Shipped on board a Liverpool liner, Way hey roll on board; Well, I rolled all night and I rolled all day, I'm gonna spend my money on Sally Brown.
