Saudi-led coalition blames Yemeni party for funeral bombing Saudi-led coalition blames Yemeni party for funeral bombing Saudi-led coalition blames Yemeni party for funeral bombing An investigation team with the Saudi-led coalition says wrong information led to the lethal bombing of a packed funeral in the Yemeni capital Sanaa last weekend, which killed around 140 people and wounded more than 600. The Joint Incidents Assessment Team accused "a party affiliated to the Yemeni Presidency of the General Chief of Staff" of passing wrong information that the hall was packed with Houthi leaders. It added that the party insisted the location was "a legitimate military target," the statement written in English said. It also said the Air Operation Center in Yemen directed a "close air support missio...

The Houthi group has denied firing any missiles targeting offshore vessels, after a US warship in the Red Sea was reportedly a target of an attack from Yemen. A day earlier, the Arab coalition said it intercepted two missiles fired by the Houthis at targets in Saudi Arabia. The Arab coalition later struck back at the military bases where the missiles came from. Our reporters gained exclusive access to the Syrian Democratic Forces, a coalition of Kurdish and Arab militias, as they continue to battle to recapture cities and territories from the Islamic State group. For two years the strategic town of Shaddadi, in northeastern Syria, was a stronghold of the Islamic State (IS) group jihadists. In February, 5,000 fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a coalition of Kurdish and Arab militias, encircled the city and battled the terrorists for 10 days. It took fierce fighting, supported by air strikes from the US-led coalition, and was slow progress unti...
Over the past 365 days, a coalition of mostly Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia, has been conducting air strikes in Yemen. Its main target have been Houthi rebels who took control of the capital Sanaa and other areas in 2014. The power grab forced the UN-backed president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi to flee to Saudi Arabia. Since then, the fighting has destroyed much of the country and killed thousands of people. Now, armed groups including ISIL (also known as ISIS) have become a serious threat in Yemen. On Friday, several suicide bombers linked to ISIL killed dozens of people in the southern port city of Aden. But, a glimpse of hope has emerged recently. Some Houthi leaders have held talks with Saudi officials with the aim of reaching a political deal. The UN has also announced the warr...
I do not own the rights to this video. For educational purposes only. this channel is NOT monetized The Yom Kippur War, or October War , also known as the 1973 Arab–Israeli War, was a war fought by the coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria against Israel from October 6 to 25, 1973. With the exception of isolated attacks on Israeli territory on 6 and 9 October, the military combat actions during the war took place on Arab territory, mostly in the Sinai and the Golan Heights. Egypt and Syria wanted to regain the Sinai and the Golan Heights respectively. Egyptian President Anwar Sadat wanted also to reopen the Suez Canal. Both did not plan to destroy Israel, although the Israeli leaders could not be sure of it. The war began when the Arab coalition launched a joint surprise atta...
It was almost a year ago now, that Saudi Arabia launched Operation Decisive Storm. An air campaign meant to quickly overthrow Houthi rebels who had taken control of Yemen's capital Sanaa. That operation became an Arab coalition, then ground troops joined the fight as well. Few thought Houthi rebels would be able to hold on to power this long. But the coalition is now making gains. It has largely ended the Houthi's nine-month siege of Taiz – Yemen’s the third largest city in Yemen. Yemeni officials say they can now deliver aid to about 200,000 residents. And that government troops have almost taken back the city entirely. But what is the strategic value of Taiz? And how will this advance affect talks being held between Saudi officials and Houthi leaders? Presenter: Sami Zeidan Gue...

Dr Walid Phares told BBC Arabic TV that "since the signing of the Iran deal the Obama Administration has been shielding the Houthis, Iran allies in Yemen, from the pressures of the Arab Coalition. For asking for a national unity Government before disarming the militias and cutting off Iran support, translates into a de facto empowerment of the pro Iranian force in Yemen" Credit: Walid Phares / BBC
A fascinating documentary by Ilan Ziv about the Israeli-arab Six days war in 1967. It shows the complexity of risks and political pressures (both local and international) that Prime minister Levy Eshkol had to face with eventually leading to his decision to set out a campaign against a coalition of Arab enemies. A war that ended in shattering Nazer's dream of a unified secular pan-Arab empire on the ruins of Israel. Israel's complete victory was a double edge sword. On one hand it cemented our security that another holocaust will not repeat itself but on the other hand it created the smugness that led to the disastrous cost of the following 1973 war.

Because of the rise of groups such as the Islamic State, the Obama Administration and others are pushing for a coalition of Arab nations along with Turkey. Does this resemble the final King of the South of Bible prophecy? Is there an Islamic antichrist? Does the Bible teach that terrorism and the sword will affect the USA and some of its allies? What does the Bible teach in Ezekiel about a confederation involving Egypt? Will an Arabic confederation end in destruction for those who strongly support it? Are the 10 nations in the Arab coalition the ten kings of Revelation 17:12-13? Are the 10 nations including the USA and Turkey the ten nations of Revelation 17:12-13? Who is? Was the pushing of the Obama Administration to do this predicted by in 2009 in a writing by Dr. Thiel? What d...
Thousands of people killed and millions on the run. It's not Syria but the other conflict in the Middle East where powerful regional interests are colliding in a daily grind with no end in sight: Yemen. After the country's leader Ali Abdullah Saleh lost power on the heels of the Arab Spring, Yemen has become a battlefield between the Shia Houthi militia - allegedly backed by Iran - and the internationally-recognised government led by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is backed by a Saudi-led military coalition. It is a chaotic war confounded by tribal loyalties and old unresolved domestic conflicts that date back many years. But because of the involvement of the main regional powers, Iran and Saudi Arabia, what happens in Yemen matters to people across the Middle East. We sit down ...
