Lola Jean Albright (born July 20, 1924) is an American singer and actress.
Albright was born in Akron, Ohio, to John Paul and Marion (née Harvey) Albright, both of whom were gospel music singers. She attended King Grammar School and West High School. She worked as a model before moving to Hollywood, studied piano for 20 years and worked as a receptionist at radio station WAKR in Akron, beginning when she was 15. At 18, she moved to Cleveland and was a stenographer at WTAM radio. Her first radio performance came on WJW in Cleveland.
Albright's motion picture career began with a bit part in the 1947 film The Unfinished Dance, and gained notice in the 1949 film Champion. For the next several years, she appeared in secondary roles in over twenty films, including several 'B' Westerns.
Albright's roles in major films included Elvis Presley's 1962 film Kid Galahad; the 1964 French film Les Felins (director René Clément), and the 1967 western epic The Way West.
Lola Albright performs "How High the Moon." From the television series Peter Gunn (Season 1, Episode 5, entitled "The Frog") Featuring Shorty Rogers on the flugelhorn.

When Academy Award winning "Peyton Place" star Dorothy Malone suddenly became ill in the fall of 1965 (in early season 2 of ABC's hit primetime soap), she was temporarily replaced by singer/actress Lola Albright ("Peter Gunn"). Malone, who underwent surgery for massive blood clots, was in critical condition for several days (while the episodes she had filmed in the weeks before her surgery were still on the air). After it was announced she would recover, ABC decided to hire Albright to play Malone's character Constance Mackanzie, while Malone was recuperating. Lola Albright appeared in 8 episodes of "Peyton Place" in a 20-episode span. She first appeared on the show in the second week of December 1965. Malone returned in an episode that aired about a month later. Read more: http://n...
Edie Hart (actress and singer Lola Albright) sings 'Day In, Day Out' in episode one of Peter Gunn, 'The Kill', 1958. Absolutely delectable. A must see (both this clip and the episode)! Craig Stevens is Peter Gunn, and do I mean he IS Peter Gunn, just as Raymond Burr IS Perry Mason. The superb Hope Emerson plays 'Mother', proprietor of Mother's (bar with cool jazz). The song 'Day In, Day Out' was penned by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Rube Bloom (music) in 1939.
Lola Jean Albright : Actress, Singer and Visual Delight. Drop dead-gorgeous Lola Albright in her stunning rendition of the old blues standard "A Good Man Is Hard to Find" A smouldering, smoky interpretation, set in an intimate and pervasive jazz atmosphere. While Lola modestly stated when asked about her singing, "I'm especially grateful for one thing: I don't sound like anybody else", her version of "A Good Man Is Hard to Find" is arguably the definite rendition of this song. Easily the most eccentric recording of Lola Albright, as Sammy Cahn's lyric for "Sorta Blue" casts her as a depressive cooing about how her melancholia is so deep that even booze and drugs can't lift her dashed spirits
