Border checkpoints, increased police powers as Ontario strengthens COVID-19 measures
Ontario has announced new COVID-19 measures to try and slow the spread of the virus, which include increased police powers, provincial border checkpoints and restricting outdoor gatherings.
The province shattered another daily record Friday, with 4,812 new infections and new modelling shows that it could get worse.
Eric Sorensen reports on the mounting measures, the request for help and the troublesome projections of where COVID-19 caseloads are headed.
