The St. Lunatics are a hip hop group from St. Louis Missouri, United States, formed in 1993. The group consists of Nelly, Ali, Murphy Lee, Kyjuan, and City Spud.
The group was formed in 1993 by Martin Lopez. He heralded their talent in the basement of his home in Brooklyn, NY. Their first local hit was "Gimme What U Got" in 1997. The group thought it would be easier for Nelly to be signed, rather than the whole group. In 2000, Nelly was signed to Universal Records, followed by the rest of the group. While Nelly was working on his solo album Country Grammar, City Spud was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison for robbery. After Nelly's breakthrough success in 2000, the St. Lunatics released their debut album Free City. In 2001, songs "Summer in the City" and "Midwest Swing" were released. In 2002, Ali released his solo album Heavy Starch and Murphy Lee released his solo album Murphy's Law in 2003. Murphy has launched his own label, UC ME Entertainment, and is currently promoting his new artists. Nelly has since moved on to a successful solo career and, in 2011, Nelly partnered with St. Louis-based Vatterott College to open a music production school in downtown St. Louis called Ex'treme Institute (E.I.) by Nelly.
A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.
Lunatic is an informal term referring to a person who is considered mentally ill, dangerous, foolish or unpredictable, conditions once attributed to lunacy. The term may be considered insulting in serious contexts in modern times, but is now more likely to be used in friendly jest. The word derives from lunaticus meaning "of the moon" or "moonstruck". The term was once commonly used in law.
The term "lunatic" derives from the Latin word lunaticus, which originally referred mainly to epilepsy and madness, as diseases caused by the moon. By the fourth and fifth centuries astrologers were commonly using the term to refer to neurological and psychiatric diseases. Philosophers such as Aristotle and Pliny the Elder argued that the full moon induced insane individuals with bipolar disorder by providing light during nights which would otherwise have been dark, and affecting susceptible individuals through the well-known route of sleep deprivation. Until at least 1700 it was also a common belief that the moon influenced fevers, rheumatism, episodes of epilepsy and other diseases.
Jermaine Dupri Mauldin (born September 23, 1972), known as Jermaine Dupri or JD, is an American record producer, songwriter and rapper.
Dupri got his start as a dancer for the hip hop group Whodini when he was twelve. He made an appearance in their music video for the song "Freaks Come Out At Night". In 1990, he produced his first act- the female hip hop trio Silk Tymes Leather. He later formed the teen duo Kris Kross (Chris Kelly and Chris Smith) after meeting the boys at a local mall in 1991. The group's first album, Totally Krossed Out, was released in 1992 and went multi-platinum due to their singles "Jump" and "It's a Shame". He established his own record label called So So Def Recordings in 1993. Shortly after, he discovered female R&B group Xscape at a festival in Atlanta and signed them to the label. Their first album, Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha, went platinum. During the same year, on Yo! MTV Raps he met Da Brat through Kris Kross, signed her to his label So So Def Recordings, and released her debut Funkdafied (1994) which went platinum. So So Def Recordings entered into a distribution partnership with Columbia Records in 1993. In 1995, he collaborated with Mariah Carey for the first time on the number one hit single "Always Be My Baby." He contributed to Lil' Kim's 1996 album, Hard Core on the track "Not Tonight".

Check
Me and Sonny in the Escalade, TV where yo' head lay
Uptown, Harlem World, seein ???
With some bran-bran, got a jaw hit ???
Hun'ned G's for the suit, the hood like "oh man"
Bendin corna's, twenty-two's, no dubbin, (crrrrrrrrrrrr)
That's what you hear 'cause that shit be rubbin
I gotta fix that, ooh, damn, who is that?
Dark skin, five-ten, twist, and kinda thick
Pull this bitch over, so I can do what I do
Get digits, call later, and teach you about you
Mami giggle and smile, said she diggin my style
Country boy, rugged for life, never come off foul
Ahhh, put you on a team with me
First class to the Bahamas, the scenery
When I walked off, she called me back on the scene
Like "who the St. Lunatics and what them double 'Bs' mean?"
The double 'B' stands for the, chhhchhh, boom da boom
Lunatic bass and beats, catch ya shakin the room
So what, what, bomp, bomp
What, what, this shit bomp
The double 'B' stands for the, chhhchhh, boom da boom
Lunatic bass and beats, catch ya shakin the room
So what, what, bomp, bomp
What, what, this shit bomp
I got a size double D waitin at the double tree for me
Ecstasy pills, Crissy and them Swisher Sweets
With enough dough, to make a cake from scratch
We the best, do the knowledge niggas, face the facts (I said that)
Draped in black in the back, with that, thing that go, chhchh-pat
Indeed, truck so big we gotta pull over to pass the weed, it's a tragedy
How my neck, shine in the moonlight
Give me one chance to show that ass what ya man ain't doin right
It's a hundred percent chance mami, what
Leave with me I'm in them pants mami
Cotton soft, put it in first and jetted off
Pumpin it loud so she can hear Jay-E floss
While we got it warm, bitches is startin to swarm
Lunatic be the chain, double 'B' be the charm
Took a limo to the airport, got a show down south
Club one-twelve, showin 'em what that L about
Holla at my nigga Ray-Ray
Drop the top in four, hit the switch, we bumpin "Dre Day"
Hey, hey, hey, what can I say?
Hit the liquor store for blunts, gin and O.J.
'Cause I just bought a half, Chico dropped it off
It's sunny, bitches out, and I'm dyin to floss, you don't say
Ain't a damn thing that I won't buy
I don't lie, money to the sky, shop 'til I die
'Cause you know I got the greenery
Five G's in the mall ain't a thing to me
I do that, in a minute, gave my wife the Infinite
Dubbed it up, fuck ballin, nigga, I'm winnin the pennet
Now that we in it, you know that we gon' do it for sure
Before we go let me tell you one thing that you should know
