In Sweden, a law is being proposed that would give men the right to "legally abort" a child. By doing this they renounce all parental rights and duties. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian hosts of The Young Turks discuss.

“It’s not just up to women to decide whether to have a baby or not, says the youth wing of Sweden’s Liberal Party. It has proposed granting expectant fathers the right to “legally abort” their unborn child up until the 18th week of pregnancy.
“Men should have an equal right to opt out of parenting and choose whether or not to become a parent,” Marcus Nilsen, chairman of the party’s youth wing West (LUF) told the Swedish Aftonbladet newspaper.
This means that men are proposed to have the right to disclaim paternity until the 18th week of pregnancy, as long as it’s possible for a woman to undergo the abortion procedure.
The suggested “legal abortion,” if chosen, would be irreversible and require the father in question to renounce all parental rights and duties, including the right to see his child once it has been born, should the mother decide to keep it.”

This is just a quick video to inform those who might care about a new prostitution law that will probably be enacted in Sweden in the near future.
Sweden is already infamous for its state feminism and extreme laws. The "Swedish model" of prostitution legislation is spreading across the globe. This new law will be another step in the same direction.

Sverige har fått en ny nationalsång! Den heter "Du gamla, du ofria", och finns för lyssning, nedladdning och fri spridning på www.dnv.se/podcast (även som ringsignal). Tipsa vänner och sprid den!
Försvarets Radioanstalt (FRA) har inte skrivit texten, det har Pär Ström gjort, men deras ande svävar över sången. Τankesmedjan Den Nya Välfärden har tagit fram den för att bilda opinion mot förslaget att låta FRA avlyssna och övervaka det civila telenätet. Propositionen kommer förmodligen upp för beslut i riksdagen i juni.
Enligt förslaget ska FRA få tillgång till all elektronisk kommunikation som passerar landets gränser för avlyssning, filtrering och automatläsning. Det gäller telefonsamtal, epost, sms, fax och surfande. Det hela ska ske förebyggande, alltså utan brottsmisstanke, och i praktiken kommer alla svenskar att drabbas av övervakningen på något sätt. Även en hel del inomsvensk kommunikation passerar ju av tekniska skäl landets gränser.
FRA-övervakningen innebär ett strupgrepp på den personliga integriteten, och förmodligen ett brott mot Europakonventionen och FN:s deklaration om mänskliga rättigheter. "Lex Orwell", som förslaget kallas, måste stoppas.
Sweden has got a new satirical version of its national anthem "Du gammla du fria" (You ancient, you free) titled "Du gammla du ofria" (You ancient, you unfree). The tune was created by Pär Ström and the "Den Nya Välfärden" institute. The reason behind that, is the preposition that FRA military institute will have the right to monitor all civilian communications crossing the Swedish borders, thus making a great step towards an orwellian society.

At 450,295 square kilometres (173,860 sq mi), Sweden is the third-largest country in the European Union by area, with a total population of over 9.8 million. Sweden consequently has a low population density of 21 inhabitants per square kilometre (54/sq mi), with the highest concentration in the southern half of the country. Approximately 85% of the population lives in urban areas. Southern Sweden is predominantly agricultural, while the north is heavily forested. Sweden is part of the geographical area of Fennoscandia.
Germanic peoples have inhabited Sweden since prehistoric times, emerging into history as the Geats/Götar and Swedes/Svear and constituting the sea peoples known as the Norsemen. Sweden emerged as an independent and unified country during the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, it expanded its territories to form the Swedish Empire, which became one of the great powers of Europe until the early 18th century. Swedish territories outside the Scandinavian Peninsula were gradually lost during the 18th and 19th centuries, beginning with the annexation of present-day Finland by Russia in 1809. The last war in which Sweden was directly involved was in 1814, when Norway was militarily forced into personal union.

“It’s not just up to women to decide whether to have a baby or not, says the youth wing of Sweden’s Liberal Party. It has proposed granting expectant fathers the right to “legally abort” their unborn child up until the 18th week of pregnancy.
“Men should have an equal right to opt out of parenting and choose whether or not to become a parent,” Marcus Nilsen, chairman of the party’s youth wing West (LUF) told the Swedish Aftonbladet newspaper.
This means that men are proposed to have the right to disclaim paternity until the 18th week of pregnancy, as long as it’s possible for a woman to undergo the abortion procedure.
The suggested “legal abortion,” if chosen, would be irreversible and require the father in question to renounce all parental rights and duties, including the right to see his child once it has been born, should the mother decide to keep it.”

The tune was created by Pär Ström and the "Den Nya Välfärden" institute. The reason behind that, is the preposition that FRA military institute will have the right to monitor all civilian communications crossing the Swedish borders, thus making a great step towards an orwellian society.

A Channel Nine 60 Minutes crew working with reporter Liz Hayes has been attacked and injured while on assignment in Stockholm.
Sweden's Avpixlat news service reports that the 60 Minutes team was interviewing residents about the European migrant crisis in the suburb of Rinkeby when they were set upon twice by 'a group of young African masked men'.
'When a cameraman got out of the car, a car drove up next to him and the African driver of the vehicle began to fight,' the agency reported.
'After two minutes fuss about why they would shoot right in Rinkeby as the driver drove over the cameraman's foot. The man fell and lay still for a moment while the team continued to film the car quickly drove away.'
Police were called and took statements but once they left another group lay siege on the Australian crew.
'A photographer was attacked and received a blow on the mouth with a closed fist so that the bloodshed occurred,' wrote Jan Sjunnesson.
'A jar was then discarded into the camera. At the same time attacked another photographer who also was beaten right across the chin so that a tooth loose.'
The team then decided to leave Rinkeby.
The attacks were confirmed by the Nine Network to Daily Mail Australia.
'Liz Hayes and a 60 Minutes crew are currently on assignment in Europe where they are reporting a story about the migrant crisis,' a Nine Spokesperson said.
'In a suburb of Stockholm yesterday they were confronted by a group who objected to them filming.
'There was a series of scuffles and the police were called. The 60 Minutes cameraman and producer were slightly injured but filming continued with police at the scene.
'The crew have now returned to their hotel and are all fine.
'Filming on the story continues tomorrow.
'It is expected the story will be broadcast on 60 Minutes in the next few weeks.'
They say Liz Hayes was not injured in the attack.

In recent years the Nordic model has attracted positive global attention, since the Nordic countries have demonstrated good results in terms of growth, employment, gender equality, competitiveness, living conditions and egalitarianism when compared to other countries.
External change in the form of increased global competition, climate, migration and European integration, interacting with internal change associated with an aging population and rising expectations with regard to welfare services, will be a test of the models resilience.
The Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven will introduce the features of the Nordic Model and discuss the future development of the model.
Stefan Löfven is Sweden’s Prime Minister since October 3, 2014. He heads a coalition government consisting of the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the Green Party. Mr. Löfven is chair of the Swedish Social Democratic Party since 2012. Between 2005 and 2012 he was an alternate member of the Executive Committee of the Social Democratic Party. Between 2006 and 2012, he chaired the Metalworkers' union IF Metall, and was also an alternate board member of the European Metalworkers' Federation between 2002 and 2007. Mr. Löfven has also served as deputy chair of the Swedish Trade Council in 2004-2012, and as a board member of the Olof Palme International Centre in 2002-2006. He was employed at Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik from 1979 to 1995, during which he had various trade union assignments. Born 1957, he is married and lives in Stockholm.

The Swedish e-legal deposit law – massive data flows and new challenges for a national library
Name of presenters: Daniel Jansson (Technical business analyst) and Stina Degerstedt (Librarian and metadata specialist), and/or others.
The new Swedish Law on legal deposit of electronic documents, fully effective from January 1 this year, poses an exceptional challenge for the National Library of Sweden (NLS) by the sheer volume of documents of a wide variety of media types expected to be delivered by thousands of publishers (suppliers), such as government agencies, online news media, publishing houses etc. This naturally requires a high level of automation in the data processing, from ingest to validation, transformation, enrichment and storage, while at the same time attaining best possible metadata quality. Another key issue has been to find suitable standards that are both simple enough to use and widely adopted by suppliers as container formats, and at the same time being expressive enough to carry all the metadata needed for the deliveries.
To meet the challenges thus encountered the NLS has developed new electronic systems and workflows. In order to bring in enough metadata from the suppliers a variety of delivery methods are offered, including one based on RSS feeds, and more are under development. Data files and metadata are taken care of by the newly built OAIS compliant preservation system which holds data not only from e-deposits but also from the library’s digitization projects. Data validation, checksum calculating, file format scanning are performed. Metadata enrichment and transformation into METS, MODS and PREMIS are carried out before packaging and storage, as well as export of bibliographic metadata to the national library catalog LIBRIS.
The floodgates are now open and the documents are pouring in. A lot of things could probably have being solved in a number of different ways, but at least all this information is now preserved and expressed in a homogeneous way and optimized for transforming into something else. Because one thing is certain, there will always be newer and better standards. An important issue to look at in the very near future is the integration of automatically generated catalog records with those produced manually. How far can you with automated methods enhance the quality of the metadata, and what is in this context an acceptable level of quality.
