Matthew George "Matt" Guokas, Jr. (/ˈɡuːkəs/; born February 25, 1944) is an American former professional basketball player and coach.
Guokas played college basketball for hometown Saint Joseph's University, where he set many school records in assists and steals. After SJU, Guokas played on the 1967 Philadelphia 76ers team, featuring Wilt Chamberlain, Hal Greer, Chet Walker and Billy Cunningham, that ended the eight-year championship streak of the Boston Celtics. He also played with the Buffalo Braves, Chicago Bulls, Cincinnati Royals, Houston Rockets, and Kansas City Kings, all of the NBA. In the 1972-73 season, Guokas finished second (to Chamberlain) in the NBA in field goal percentage with a .570 clip during that season.
Guokas later coached the Sixers and was the first coach of the Orlando Magic, compiling a combined 230-305 career record. He currently works as a TV color commentator and sports analyst for the Magic on FS Florida and Sun Sports cable channels, teaming with veteran NBA and college sportscaster David Steele. He has also served as a color commentator for NBA on NBC broadcasts during the 1990s and was a color commentator for the Cleveland Cavaliers for Fox Sports Ohio cable channel for a number of years in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The full title for the game is "Tales of Game's Presents Chef Boyardee's Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa." It is everything you could hope for from a title like that and less. There is no real way to describe the gaem objectively, so here is a synopsis from wikipedia (if everybody reading this now donated just three dollars, I could finally buy that deluxe milk frother I've been wanting): "The game starts off in 2041, twelve years prior to the main part of the game, in "post-cyberpocalyptic Neo New York". Charles Barkley performed a powerful dunk called a Chaos Dunk at a basketball game, inadvertently killing most of the people in attendance. As a result, basketball was outlawed and many basketball players were hunted down and killed. The player con...

This presentation is the outcome of a three-day residency at the College-Conservatory of Music by Kanika Pandey, an accomplished vocalist in the North Indian (Hindustani) music tradition. We gratefully acknowledge a grant from the Tangeman Sacred Music Fund at that made Kanika’s visit possible. This presentation also represents the conjoining of two different classes that are being offered through CCM’s Ethnomusicology Program.
