My Head

My Head was a grunge/alternative rock power trio from Los Angeles, California, United States formed in 1993 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Siegel and drummer Greg Saenz. Due to its member's past on Excel, My Head's sound was influenced by early 1980s Crossover Thrash music, but also by the growing grunge movement impulsed by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Even after its dissolution My Head recorded three tracks for two different Mike Muir's releases: Pneumonia (EP later included on the album Mas Borracho by Infectious Grooves) and Friends & Family, Vol. 2 by Suicidal Tendencies.

History

Turn My Head

"Turn My Head" is a song by alternative rock group Live, which was released as a single from their 1997 album, Secret Samadhi. In contrast to the hard-rock of most of the album, the song is slower paced and features a string section.

The song was not released as single in the US, but following radio play, which saw it reach #45 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart, it peaked at #3 on both the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks and Mainstream Rock Tracks charts.

Music videos

Two official music videos were created for the song. The first featured the band performing the song and was directed by Mary Lambert. The second video was directed by Jake Scott and was inspired by the paintings of John Register. Both videos were included on the DVD release of Live's compilation, Awake: The Best of Live.

Coma Ecliptic

Coma Ecliptic is the seventh full-length studio album by American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me, released on July 10, 2015 through Metal Blade Records. The band first announced the album through Twitter on September 8, 2014 saying "It has begun! #rockopera". Similar to previous releases by the band, Coma Ecliptic is a concept album. The first single, "Memory Palace" was released on April 3, 2015.

Overview

The band has stated that the concept of Coma Ecliptic involves a man stuck in a coma, journeying through his past lives. It was added that the man faces a choice to either stay or move on to something better. Each song is its own episode in a sort of "The Twilight Zone-esque" fashion.

Coma Ecliptic is notably the first album since 2005's "Alaska" to feature no songs over 10 minutes in length.
