The World Golf Hall of Fame is located at World Golf Village near St. Augustine, Florida, in the United States, and it is unusual among sports halls of fame in that a single site honors both men and women. It is supported by a consortium of 26 golf organizations from all over the world.
The Hall of Fame Museum Building is designed by the museum architecture specialist firm of E. Verner Johnson and Associates of Boston, Massachusetts. They also produced the museum master plan that established the overall size, mission and qualities of the overall museum and the surrounding facilities and site.
The Hall of Fame Museum features a permanent exhibition and a rolling program of temporary exhibitions. Designed by museum design firm Ralph Appelbaum Associates, the Hall of Fame and exhibition area contains exhibits on the game's history, heritage, and techniques; major players and organizations; golf course design, equipment, and dress; and new directions, such as ecological concerns in course management.
A hall of fame is a structure housing memorials to famous or illustrious individuals in a certain field, usually chosen by a group of electors. The meaning of "fame" has changed over the years, originally meaning "renown" as opposed to today's more common meaning of "celebrity".
In some cases, these halls of fame consist of actual halls or museums which enshrine the honorees with sculptures, plaques, and displays of memorabilia and general information regarding the inducted recipient/s. Sometimes, the honorees' plaques may instead be posted on a wall (hence a '"wall of fame") or inscribed on a sidewalk (as in a "walk of fame" or an "avenue of fame"). In others, the hall of fame is more figurative and just simply consists of a list of names of noteworthy individuals (or sometimes groups, for ex. Sporting groups or Rock groups) maintained by an organization or community or honouring its inducted members legacy or legend.
The English-language term was popularised in the United States by the Hall of Fame for Great Americans at Bronx Community College, in New York City, completed in 1900. Its inspiration is the Ruhmeshalle ("Hall of Fame") in Munich, Germany. The Walhalla memorial in Bavaria, Germany, is an even earlier hall of fame, conceived in 1807 and built from 1900 to 1907.
Amy Yang, also known as Yang Hee-Young (Korean: 양희영, born 28 July 1989) is a Korean professional golfer, currently playing on the United States-based LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
Yang began playing golf at age 10 in her native Korea and moved to the Gold Coast of Australia with her family at age 15 to pursue golf more seriously.
In 2005 she won the Queensland Amateur Championship, the youngest winner ever of that championship. In 2006, while still an amateur she won the ANZ Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour (LET), making her the youngest winner ever on the LET at age 7008521510400000000♠16 years, 192 days.
After her win in at the ANZ Ladies Masters, the LET offered Yang a special three-year membership exemption beginning in 2006 as a 17-year-old, providing she traveled with her parents until she turned 18. She recorded four top-20 finishes in 2007 while still attended high school.
Yang attended LPGA Tour qualifying school in the fall of 2007 and obtained conditional status on the LPGA Tour as well for 2008.

This vid belongs to the series of the Forgotten Great Theorists that shows my personal choice of the greatest theorists in golf that are worth learning from in the context of creating a biokinetically sound golf swing motion. From Wikipedia: Sir Henry Thomas Cotton, KCMG, MBE (26 January 1907 -- 22 December 1987) was an English professional golfer known for winning three Open Championships. Cotton was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. A prestigious cricketer, while attending Alleyn's School in Dulwich, South London, he and the other non-prefects were ordered by the six prefects in the school team to transport their cricket clothing back to the school on public transport. After returning to the school, he wrote a letter to the headmaster explaining that he was not amused. The headmaster o...
Read on: http://www.richardbangs.com/2014/05/best-golfing-puerto-rico/ Golf here dates to 1958, when Laurance Rockefeller, a pioneer in barefoot elegance, built a resort in Dorado and hired Robert Trent Jones to design its fabled East Course. Now Puerto Rico has 23 courses designed by legendary golf pros. We try out the Ocean Course at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort, and then the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club with Chi Chi Rodriguez, first Puerto Rican inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. We also tool around the Royal Isabela, "the Pebble Beach of the Caribbean," which sprawls at the edge of a 300'-high bluff overlooking the crashing Atlantic, looking more like a link course at the edge of Ireland than a tropical fairway.
