So this week we're excited to be exploring Dublin and we're planning to spend an entire week here. This video is going to highlight 25 things to do around the city. Dublin is where most trips in Ireland begin, so before seeing the rest of the country, Audrey and I spent a whole week getting to know the capital. When the weather cooperated we walked around the city, toured Trinity College, and visited the botanical gardens, and when it poured rain as it often does in this part of the world, we just popped into a pub for some Irish stew and a pint of Guinness. The following video will show you a few of the different things to do in Dublin, Ireland.

Trinity College was founded in 1592 and it is the oldest university in Ireland. The campus is open to visitors interested in touring the grounds, and you'll also get to hear some fascinating stories of famous students, including the likes of Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, and Bram Stoker.
The Guinness Storehouse is Dublin's most popular attraction, and it's a must-visit for beer lovers. The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped like a pint of Guinness. Inside you'll also find a copy of the 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness on the brewery site - they won't be going anywhere for a while!
Grafton Street is one of the main shopping areas in Dublin. You're likely to find lots of musicians, buskers, and performers along here, plus you get a good vantage point of The Spire.
Prior to the establishment of Glasnevin Cemetery, Irish Catholics had no place of their own to bury their dead. This burial ground gave both Irish Catholics and Protestants a place where they could give their dead dignified burial, and it has since become the resting place for people of all religions and non religions.
Experience Gaelic Games is a place where you can come and try traditional Irish sports like hurling and Gaelic football.
The Old Jameson Distillery is the original site where Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. It is now a visitor centre that offers both guided tours and whiskey tastings.
Temple Bar is an area known for its lively nightlife. Located on the southbank of the River Liffey, you'll find all sorts of pubs playing live music once the sun goes down. There's also one pub in Temple Bar, called The Temple Bar, but don't let that confuse you.

Xian was the first capital of China. The heart of the enormous empire once throbbed here. Rows of
imperial dynasties ruled from here over 11 centuries. This was the starting point of the famous Silk
Road and the city with its 1 million residents was considered a huge metropolis at that time. Although
the city lost its rank and influence after the revolution of Huang Chao in 875, it still belongs to the 10
biggest cities of China.
The Asian countries have always been famous for their handicrafts and China is no exception to this.
The making, coloring and processing of silk looks back on such ancient traditions as paper cutting, paper
folding or the making of --. Chinese calligraphy and wooden engravings are also famous together with
porcelain painting. In Xian, almost all fields of handicrafts are practiced, however the most well known
are the carvings made of semiprecious stones. From light green jade and deep green nephrite, mostly
little sculptures and ornaments are carved. The decorations and patterns of which imitate ancient
statues. There are many dragon representations but of course Buddha sculptures are also made in large
numbers.
China joined the monument and landscape protection program of the UNESCO in 1985. From 1987 until
these days, more than 10000 buildings have been declared monuments, 63 settlements have received
cityscape protection and 27 treasures have been recorded in the world heritage list. The long list
includes the imperial palace of Beijing, the summer palace, the temple of heaven, the Ming tombs, the
sections of the Great Wall around the capital and of course the terracotta army. This spectacle can be
found 1.5km east of the burial hill of Qin Shi Huang Di. The tomb of the strict ruler unifying China is 221
BC has not been excavated yet although there have been excavations in this 8 square kilometer area for
decades.
A farmer named Yang Gi Fa drilled a well from which water always escaped so he went down to the well
to check the reason. Do there, he found himself face to face with a frightful figure. However this figure
was not a monster or a ghost or even a skeleton or mummy but a clay statue which looked very real. In
communist China in 1974, people had to be very careful about what they should report to the
authorities and what not. After long pondering the farmer reported his finding to the museum of Xian
and he got 30 yuan as a reward. Archeologists found one of the most significant artifacts of the world
here, under the agricultural land.
In several cultures, for instance in Egypt or South America, it was a custom to bury the dead lord
together with all his people so that they could serve him even in the afterlife. From this custom, came
the -- in Egypt which is a little sculpture who works in place of his lord in the afterlife. Probably it was a
similar reason why this huge clay army followed their master to the grave. During the first excavations,
some three enormous chambers were found deep into the ground. The biggest of them is more than
14000 square meters. Inside this, the 6000 armed men stood ordered in military formation. The man
sized figures bore real weapons and accessories. Their makers didn't choose the easy way. They didn't
just pour clay into forms. They formed them individually by hand which is evident by the fact that the
face of all the figures have individual features. Maybe they really represented the actual people of the
army of that time.

The buildings stand on two to three fenced courtyards. The main entrance is called the gate split in two
and it consists of two pyramid shaped columns cut in half. At one of the corners, the belfry was built.
People were summoned by the bell to village assemblies, weddings or festivals but it could signal danger
as well, for example, fire. The front yard is the scene of social life. Celebrations and dance
performances take place here. The kitchen is here and pilgrims are put up here in separate barracks.
The inner church courtyard is called dalam. It's always separated from the front yard by a high lavishly
ornamented wall. It has two gates, one of which is for the priests and the other one is for the commons.
The pagoda like towers are called meru, named after the holy mountain of the Hindus. The construction
of its roof always consists of an odd number of levels. The number of levels is in direct correlation to the
importance of the church. The most important ceremonies are always held near the back wall and the
reliquaries are also placed here.
A separate room is built for sacrificial gifts. In the sanctuaries, carved statues, reliefs, ornaments and
almost everything are of religious importance. Everything is in harmony and according to the beliefs of
people here. Devlish demons try to destroy this harmony, therefore, they constantly have to fight
against them. This is done by prayers, sacrifices and gifts. The Balinese body of beliefs is quite
complicated and an outsider doesn't have the necessary overview. Foreigners are usually only allowed
in the exterior yard of the churches. It's only possible to progress further inwards on the occasion of
festivals. The finesse of the Balinese is shown by their arts and crafts products. They use everything
that nature provides them such as bamboo, sisal, reeds, sea grass and countless types of tropical trees.
They're masters of spinning, weaving and making textiles. They decorate their clothes with batik work,
dyeing and beads and they chisel their jewels taking ancestral samples as models. Their everyday dress
is simple but their festive costume is very ornate, not to mention the dancers' clothes.
They decorate not only their churches but they also take great pains in making their homes beautiful.
They choose their furniture and decorations with great care. They often combine their masterfully
carved furniture with wicker materials but also with glass and mirrors. Great attention is paid to the
choice of the reliquaries which can be found in every home. These don't contain the ashes of departed
relatives as many European people may think as the local customs of death specify cremating the dead
and strewing their ashes into the sea. In poor families, it sometimes happens that they bury their dead
temporarily while they raise the money needed for cremation. Better late than never though and often
at the cost of great hardships, they do pay the charges of cremation somehow because according to
their belief, man's soul can only purify itself of the sins accumulated during his earthly stay and get a
new lease on life in a superior world if body and soul are purified by fire.
The ceremony held with luxurious formalities and marine sanctuaries is a very important festival. They
don't mourn at that time, but celebrate the eternal circle of life, a segment of which has just closed.
Seated in lotus position, the soul of the dead goes on its way towards eternal existence.

During carnival time, the city takes on a special charm when, for ten days prior to Lent, enchanting, colourful costumes and masks dominate the lagoon city. During carnival the melancholic splendour of past centuries awakes and each year the extravagant spectacle attracts large numbers of tourists from all over the world. Bury (/ˈbɛri/, locally also /ˈbʊrɪ/) is a town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Irwell, 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east of Bolton, 5.9 miles (9.5 km) west-southwest of Rochdale, and 7.9 miles (12.7 km) north-northwest of Manchester. Bury is the largest settlement and administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury and in 2011 had a population of 55,856.
Historically part of Lancashire, Bury emerged in the Industrial Revolution as a mill town manufacturing textiles.
Bury is known for the open-air Bury Market and the local traditional dish, black pudding. The Manchester Metrolink tram system terminates in the town.
Bury resident Sir Robert Peel was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and founded the Metropolitan Police Service and Conservative Party. The Peel Memorial is outside Bury parish church and the Peel Monument stands on Holcombe Hill overlooking Ramsbottom.

Chris Bury
Christopher Robert "Chris" Bury (born December 10, 1953) is an American journalist at Al Jazeera America, where he is a correspondent for America Tonight. He is best known for being a correspondent at ABC News Nightline, where he also served as substitute anchor. Bury was also a national correspondent based in Chicago for World News with Diane Sawyer and Good Morning America.
Bury began his career in journalism in 1975 as a reporter for WCLX Radio in La Crosse, Wisconsin. From 1979 to 1980, he served as an instructor at Marquette University's College of Journalism.
He then moved on to Milwaukee station WTMJ-TV, where he served as a political and investigative reporter. In January 1981, he served as co-host and reporter for "EXTRA," an award-winning television program at KTVI-TV in St. Louis. From 1981 to 1982, Bury was a reporter with KPRC-TV in Houston.
In 1982, he joined ABC News as a general assignment reporter based in Chicago. In 1992, Bury was assigned full-time coverage of Bill Clinton's Presidential campaign for World News Tonight, and was relocated to Nightline in Washington, D.C. after the inauguration, where he served as a correspondent and anchor until 2007.

From light green jade and deep green nephrite, mostly little sculptures and ornaments are carved. The decorations and patterns of which imitate ancient statues. There are many dragon representations but of course Buddha sculptures are also made in large numbers. China joined the monument and landscape protection program of the UNESCO in 1985. From 1987 until these days, more than 10000 buildings have been declared monuments, 63 settlements have received cityscape protection and 27 treasures have been recorded in the world heritage list. The long list includes the imperial palace of Beijing, the summer palace, the temple of heaven, the Ming tombs, the sections of the Great Wall around the capital and of course the terracotta army. This spectacle can be found 1.5km east of the burial hill of Qin Shi Huang Di. The tomb of the strict ruler unifying China is 221 BC has not been excavated yet although there have been excavations in this 8 square kilometer area for decades. A farmer named Yang Gi Fa drilled a well from which water always escaped so he went down to the well to check the reason. Do there, he found himself face to face with a frightful figure. However this figure was not a monster or a ghost or even a skeleton or mummy but a clay statue which looked very real. In communist China in 1974, people had to be very careful about what they should report to the authorities and what not. After long pondering the farmer reported his finding to the museum of Xian and he got 30 yuan as a reward. Archeologists found one of the most significant artifacts of the world here, under the agricultural land. In several cultures, for instance in Egypt or South America, it was a custom to bury the dead lord together with all his people so that they could serve him even in the afterlife. From this custom, came the -- in Egypt which is a little sculpture who works in place of his lord in the afterlife. Probably it was a similar reason why this huge clay army followed their master to the grave. During the first excavations, some three enormous chambers were found deep into the ground. The biggest of them is more than 14000 square meters. Inside this, the 6000 armed men stood ordered in military formation. The man sized figures bore real weapons and accessories. Their makers didn't choose the easy way. They didn't just pour clay into forms. They formed them individually by hand which is evident by the fact that the face of all the figures have individual features. Maybe they really represented the actual people of the army of that time. Celebrations and dance performances take place here. The kitchen is here and pilgrims are put up here in separate barracks. The inner church courtyard is called dalam. It's always separated from the front yard by a high lavishly ornamented wall. It has two gates, one of which is for the priests and the other one is for the commons. The pagoda like towers are called meru, named after the holy mountain of the Hindus. The construction of its roof always consists of an odd number of levels. The number of levels is in direct correlation to the importance of the church. The most important ceremonies are always held near the back wall and the reliquaries are also placed here. A separate room is built for sacrificial gifts. In the sanctuaries, carved statues, reliefs, ornaments and almost everything are of religious importance. Everything is in harmony and according to the beliefs of people here. Devlish demons try to destroy this harmony, therefore, they constantly have to fight against them. This is done by prayers, sacrifices and gifts. The Balinese body of beliefs is quite complicated and an outsider doesn't have the necessary overview. Foreigners are usually only allowed in the exterior yard of the churches. It's only possible to progress further inwards on the occasion of festivals. The finesse of the Balinese is shown by their arts and crafts products. They use everything that nature provides them such as bamboo, sisal, reeds, sea grass and countless types of tropical trees. They're masters of spinning, weaving and making textiles. They decorate their clothes with batik work, dyeing and beads and they chisel their jewels taking ancestral samples as models. Their everyday dress is simple but their festive costume is very ornate, not to mention the dancers' clothes. They decorate not only their churches but they also take great pains in making their homes beautiful. They choose their furniture and decorations with great care. They often combine their masterfully carved furniture with wicker materials but also with glass and mirrors. Great attention is paid to the choice of the reliquaries which can be found in every home. These don't contain the ashes of departed relatives as many European people may think as the local customs of death specify cremating the dead and strewing their ashes into the sea. In poor families, it sometimes happens that they bury their dead temporarily while they raise the money needed for cremation. Better late than never though and often at the cost of great hardships, they do pay the charges of cremation somehow because according to their belief, man's soul can only purify itself of the sins accumulated during his earthly stay and get a new lease on life in a superior world if body and soul are purified by fire. The ceremony held with luxurious formalities and marine sanctuaries is a very important festival. They don't mourn at that time, but celebrate the eternal circle of life, a segment of which has just closed. Seated in lotus position, the soul of the dead goes on its way towards eternal existence. Trinity College was founded in 1592 and it is the oldest university in Ireland. The campus is open to visitors interested in touring the grounds, and you'll also get to hear some fascinating stories of famous students, including the likes of Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, and Bram Stoker.
The Guinness Storehouse is Dublin's most popular attraction, and it's a must-visit for beer lovers. The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped like a pint of Guinness. Inside you'll also find a copy of the 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness on the brewery site - they won't be going anywhere for a while!
Grafton Street is one of the main shopping areas in Dublin. You're likely to find lots of musicians, buskers, and performers along here, plus you get a good vantage point of The Spire.
Prior to the establishment of Glasnevin Cemetery, Irish Catholics had no place of their own to bury their dead. This burial ground gave both Irish Catholics and Protestants a place where they could give their dead dignified burial, and it has since become the resting place for people of all religions and non religions.
Experience Gaelic Games is a place where you can come and try traditional Irish sports like hurling and Gaelic football.
The Old Jameson Distillery is the original site where Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. It is now a visitor centre that offers both guided tours and whiskey tastings.

Xian was the first capital of China. The heart of the enormous empire once throbbed here. Rows of
imperial dynasties ruled from here over 11 centuries. This was the starting point of the famous Silk
Road and the city with its 1 million residents was considered a huge metropolis at that time. Although
the city lost its rank and influence after the revolution of Huang Chao in 875, it still belongs to the 10
biggest cities of China.
The Asian countries have always been famous for their handicrafts and China is no exception to this.
The making, coloring and processing of silk looks back on such ancient traditions as paper cutting, paper
folding or the making of --. Chinese calligraphy and wooden engravings are also famous together with
porcelain painting. In Xian, almost all fields of handicrafts are practiced, however the most well known
are the carvings made of semiprecious stones. From light green jade and deep green nephrite, mostly
little sculptures and ornaments are carved. The decorations and patterns of which imitate ancient
statues. There are many dragon representations but of course Buddha sculptures are also made in large
numbers.
China joined the monument and landscape protection program of the UNESCO in 1985. From 1987 until
these days, more than 10000 buildings have been declared monuments, 63 settlements have received
cityscape protection and 27 treasures have been recorded in the world heritage list. The long list
includes the imperial palace of Beijing, the summer palace, the temple of heaven, the Ming tombs, the
sections of the Great Wall around the capital and of course the terracotta army. This spectacle can be
found 1.5km east of the burial hill of Qin Shi Huang Di. The tomb of the strict ruler unifying China is 221
BC has not been excavated yet although there have been excavations in this 8 square kilometer area for
decades.
A farmer named Yang Gi Fa drilled a well from which water always escaped so he went down to the well
to check the reason. Do there, he found himself face to face with a frightful figure. However this figure
was not a monster or a ghost or even a skeleton or mummy but a clay statue which looked very real. In
communist China in 1974, people had to be very careful about what they should report to the
authorities and what not. After long pondering the farmer reported his finding to the museum of Xian
and he got 30 yuan as a reward. Archeologists found one of the most significant artifacts of the world
here, under the agricultural land.
In several cultures, for instance in Egypt or South America, it was a custom to bury the dead lord
together with all his people so that they could serve him even in the afterlife. From this custom, came
the -- in Egypt which is a little sculpture who works in place of his lord in the afterlife. Probably it was a
similar reason why this huge clay army followed their master to the grave. During the first excavations,
some three enormous chambers were found deep into the ground. The biggest of them is more than
14000 square meters. Inside this, the 6000 armed men stood ordered in military formation. The man
sized figures bore real weapons and accessories. Their makers didn't choose the easy way. They didn't
just pour clay into forms. They formed them individually by hand which is evident by the fact that the
face of all the figures have individual features. Maybe they really represented the actual people of the
army of that time.

The buildings stand on two to three fenced courtyards. The main entrance is called the gate split in two
and it consists of two pyramid shaped columns cut in half. At one of the corners, the belfry was built.
People were summoned by the bell to village assemblies, weddings or festivals but it could signal danger
as well, for example, fire. The front yard is the scene of social life. Celebrations and dance
performances take place here. The kitchen is here and pilgrims are put up here in separate barracks.
The inner church courtyard is called dalam. It's always separated from the front yard by a high lavishly
ornamented wall. It has two gates, one of which is for the priests and the other one is for the commons.
The pagoda like towers are called meru, named after the holy mountain of the Hindus. The construction
of its roof always consists of an odd number of levels. The number of levels is in direct correlation to the
importance of the church. The most important ceremonies are always held near the back wall and the
reliquaries are also placed here.
A separate room is built for sacrificial gifts. In the sanctuaries, carved statues, reliefs, ornaments and
almost everything are of religious importance. Everything is in harmony and according to the beliefs of
people here. Devlish demons try to destroy this harmony, therefore, they constantly have to fight
against them. This is done by prayers, sacrifices and gifts. The Balinese body of beliefs is quite
complicated and an outsider doesn't have the necessary overview. Foreigners are usually only allowed
in the exterior yard of the churches. It's only possible to progress further inwards on the occasion of
festivals. The finesse of the Balinese is shown by their arts and crafts products. They use everything
that nature provides them such as bamboo, sisal, reeds, sea grass and countless types of tropical trees.
They're masters of spinning, weaving and making textiles. They decorate their clothes with batik work,
dyeing and beads and they chisel their jewels taking ancestral samples as models. Their everyday dress
is simple but their festive costume is very ornate, not to mention the dancers' clothes.
They decorate not only their churches but they also take great pains in making their homes beautiful.
They choose their furniture and decorations with great care. They often combine their masterfully
carved furniture with wicker materials but also with glass and mirrors. Great attention is paid to the
choice of the reliquaries which can be found in every home. These don't contain the ashes of departed
relatives as many European people may think as the local customs of death specify cremating the dead
and strewing their ashes into the sea. In poor families, it sometimes happens that they bury their dead
temporarily while they raise the money needed for cremation. Better late than never though and often
at the cost of great hardships, they do pay the charges of cremation somehow because according to
their belief, man's soul can only purify itself of the sins accumulated during his earthly stay and get a
new lease on life in a superior world if body and soul are purified by fire.
The ceremony held with luxurious formalities and marine sanctuaries is a very important festival. They
don't mourn at that time, but celebrate the eternal circle of life, a segment of which has just closed.
Seated in lotus position, the soul of the dead goes on its way towards eternal existence.

The humidity of the soil forced the Venetians to bury their dead in the honeycombed alcoves of cemetery walls. During carnival time, the city takes on a special charm when, for ten days prior to Lent, enchanting, colourful costumes and masks dominate the lagoon city. During carnival the melancholic splendour of past centuries awakes and each year the extravagant spectacle attracts large numbers of tourists from all over the world. For mystical delight with a good serving of history, Venice is without equal!
