* Bianca died a month later in her foster home from heart failure*
This is Bianca. I only met her two weeks ago and her rescue-rehome story is the fastest and most amazing ever. Degenerative myelopathy is what first made her limp months ago, and as the months went by, she kept getting worse and worse, until she was unable to stand on her feet and started dragging the hind part of her body. Some of the people working nearby have been taking care of her for years. She had a house made of wooden boards, she was being fed (overfed probably, which makes her condition worsen – it’s one of the biggest problems when strays are being take care of by many people), some have paid for her x-rays and others for a new wheelchair. But the street was no longer a place where Bianca can be safe. When SPAZ was notified about her, a campaign started to help Bianca get off the street. It was not that easy. A dog like her cannot be in a shelter, she cannot be in a clinic, she cannot live anywhere else but a in a home – and finding a home for a paralyzed, 7 year old, 30 kilo dog was not easy. In fact, it almost looked impossible, but Bianca got very lucky. Linda is a friend of mine, I admire and respect her and consider her my mentor. I know that she will do everything she can to keep Bianca as happy and as healthy as possible for few months she has left.

Whitney Houston
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American singer, actress, producer, and model. In 2009, Guinness World Records cited her as the most awarded female act of all time. Houston is one of pop music's best-selling music artists of all-time, with an estimated 170–200 million records sold worldwide. She released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification. Houston's crossover appeal on the popular music charts, as well as her prominence on MTV, starting with her video for "How Will I Know", influenced several African American women artists who follow in her footsteps.
Houston is the only artist to chart seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits. She is the second artist behind Elton John and the only woman to have two number-one Billboard 200 Album awards (formerly "Top Pop Albums") on the Billboard magazine year-end charts. Charlie Sexton
Charles Wayne "Charlie" Sexton (born August 11, 1968) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known for the 1985 hit "Beat's So Lonely"; for being the guitarist for Bob Dylan's backing band from 1999 to 2002, 2009 to 2012, and 2013 to present; and for his song "Tennessee Plates" on the soundtrack of the 1991 movie Thelma & Louise. His style of playing has varied and he has been associated with artists in the blues, folk, rock, and punk genres.
Biography
When he was four, he and his mother relocated from San Antonio, Texas to Austin, where clubs such as the Armadillo World Headquarters, Soap Creek Saloon, and more notably the Split Rail and Antone's Blues Club later exposed him to popular music. After a brief period living outside Austin with his mother, he moved back to Austin at the age of 12. By the early 1980s, while Charlie and his brother Will Sexton were still young boys, they were both taught how to play guitar by the local Austin legend W. C. Clark, known as the "Godfather of Austin Blues".

This is Bianca. I only met her two weeks ago and her rescue-rehome story is the fastest and most amazing ever. Degenerative myelopathy is what first made her limp months ago, and as the months went by, she kept getting worse and worse, until she was unable to stand on her feet and started dragging the hind part of her body. Some of the people working nearby have been taking care of her for years. She had a house made of wooden boards, she was being fed (overfed probably, which makes her condition worsen – it’s one of the biggest problems when strays are being take care of by many people), some have paid for her x-rays and others for a new wheelchair. But the street was no longer a place where Bianca can be safe. When SPAZ was notified about her, a campaign started to help Bianca get off the street. It was not that easy. A dog like her cannot be in a shelter, she cannot be in a clinic, she cannot live anywhere else but a in a home – and finding a home for a paralyzed, 7 year old, 30 kilo dog was not easy. In fact, it almost looked impossible, but Bianca got very lucky. Linda is a friend of mine, I admire and respect her and consider her my mentor. I know that she will do everything she can to keep Bianca as happy and as healthy as possible for few months she has left.

The incredible story of the dental hygienist Linda Perhacs who as a young woman in 1970 published a groundbreaking album which nobody noticed. Half a century later she discovered that it had gone worldwide on the Internet.
Linda Perhacs was discovered and then rediscovered. It's only now that her unique talent is really being celebrated. The California-based singer/songwriter published a ground-breaking album in 1970 which went largely unnoticed at the time. The album might have been lost and forgotten completely had it not been for the rise of the Internet and New Weird America movement around 2000.
"It came out of thin air." In the interview Perhacs talks of her inspirations, and she explains that her father's family are deeply spiritual people who are guided by inner voices. She describes how she hears voices talking to her from above and within, and on occasion is able to actually visualize music, making drawings to help her remember these complicated musical sculptures.
Linda Perhacs worked most of her life as a dental hygenist in Beverly Hills, leading a quiet and solitary life, spending her free time on long walks in nature. When she was young, she had many hippie friends, and although she never went to concerts or did drugs, she was influenced by the hippie ideas.
Through her job for a dentist in Hollywood, she met lots of movie people, and became friends with award winning composer Leonard Rosenman, who realized her musical potential and decided he wanted to work with her. Today Parrallelograms, Linda Perhacs first -- and for decades only -- album is regarded as a psych-folk masterpiece. The album was reissued in 2005 and again in 2008. Perhacs songs have been featured in soundtracks to many films including Daft Punk's Electroma. In March 2014 Perhacs' released her second record The Soul of All Natural Things.
