A midget is a short person with relatively average bodily proportions in comparison with other human beings. The term is often improperly used to describe a person with the medical condition dwarfism. The two terms are often used synonymously because both terms originate as words defining small people. However, "midget" is regarded as offensive to those with dwarfism by both the Restricted Growth Association (UK based support network for people of profound short-stature) and the Little People of America (the American support network), along with many other nationally based groups, advocating the rights of individuals with disabilities and dwarfing conditions.
The term "midget" was coined in 1865 to describe an extremely short person with body proportions similar to those of a normal-sized persons.P. T. Barnum indirectly helped popularize the term midget when he began featuring General Tom Thumb in his circus. "Dwarf" originally denoted people with disproportionately short limbs. "Midget" however became linked to referencing short people put on display for public ridicule and sport, whereas the terms "dwarf" or "dwarfism" have a more medical base.
Eric Lynch (born March 11, 1975), better known as Eric the Midget and preferably Eric the Actor, is a member of The Howard Stern Show's Wack Pack. Lynch is 3 ft 5 in (1.04 m) tall (36" tall from December 8, 2011 Stern interview), weighs 85 lb (39 kg), and uses a motorized wheelchair, in addition to various other afflictions. Despite his poor health he claims to have outlived every doctor's prediction for his life expectancy.
At 3 feet 5 inches, Eric is considered to have dwarfism. Because of his short legs and a club foot he uses a wheelchair to get around. Other afflictions include stork bite which gives him a "blotchy" complexion and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome resulting in gnarled fingers.
Lynch was born and raised in Rodeo, California. Lynch attended high school at John Swett High School, graduating in 1994. At the age of 31, Lynch moved to his own apartment in Sacramento, California. Eric initially called in on September 19, 2002 to discuss American Idol. Lynch had called to respond to Stern's statements that contestant Kelly Clarkson was not overly attractive. Stern initially talked to Lynch with mild enthusiasm, but after an extended discussion regarding Lynch's unique voice and speaking style, Lynch revealed that he was 3 ft 5 in (1.04 m) tall, which piqued Stern's interest.

Somebody remind me where I am
That's right I'm at home, I'm right where I belong
[Midget Verse 1]
I'm always stressin', I'm always wifin'
One thing my daddy told me, self-reliance
Flyer than the flight pilot
I can take you anywhere you wanna go, no buyer's mileage
Wayne free from Rikers Island
Silence on the gun can I get a moment of silence
I fall up opposite sky diving
Check 1, 2, I'm so fly I don't even need a jump suit
Splash some water on him make him come to
New player in the game, substitute
[Drake Hook x4]
Somebody remind me where I am
That's right I'm at home, I'm right where I belong
[Midget Verse 2]
I'm so fly [I, I] I be up in Mars
I am so fly [I, I] I can touch the stars
Take the hood wit me wherever I may go
Got plenty a them foreign cars right outside my door
I be waitin' for my bottles on the Romans ninth floor
It's all in my head so why the hell I even write for
Night more, night mare, if you want it baby
[I, I] I could get it right there
[Drake Hook x4]
Somebody remind me where I am
That's right I'm at home, I'm right where I belong
[Midget outro]
I did it all, I did all I could
I do it to the fullest, do it for what it's worth
It's the business life, and the new opportunities
