This was a very difficult video to make but I felt like it was important for me to share and hopefully I can help somebody out there who is going through the same thing as me. I never thought this would happen to me so I was totally unprepared.
Unfortunately we lost our third baby at 11 weeks. We discovered at our second ultrasound that the baby had not progressed past 6 weeks and we had suffered a missed miscarriage. I was scheduled for a D&C; two days later however the next day I miscarried myself naturally at home. Although we are devastated and saddened by this experience, we also feel incredibly grateful for all the support we have received. Thank you so much for your lovely messages and comments. We are so grateful.

I took no medication my body did it all by itself.

We have a different kind of vlog for you today.
This one is for all the couples and women out there who are going through or may go through the heartache of a miscarriage. Sadly a miscarriage happens to 1 in 4 pregnancies in Australia and most women suffer in silence.
There has always been a pressure not to announce a pregnancy before 12 weeks due to the risk of a miscarriage. While we do partially agree, this is the reason why many women never even get an opportunity to talk about their grief-- as the pregnancy was never announced to begin with.
For this reason, we have always shared the exciting news with friends and family who we knew would rejoice with us but more importantly, offer their support if we were to experience a miscarriage. In doing so, we make ourselves vulnerable but our decision was proven to have been a wise one this past week when we went through our first pregnancy loss.
We have been through a roller coaster of emotions over the past 2 months-- falling pregnant after 9 months of trying to conceive and then dealing with the devastation of our loss. Although somehow in the span of 3 days, we went from devastation to complete peace over our situation. It was all in our choice to respond with the right attitude. There are certain life lessons that God wants to teach us that can only be learnt through significant loss and that's exactly what He did.
We are sharing our story with our YouTube family and the world because we believe there is strength to be drawn from our experience. If you feel brave, we encourage you to do the same and share your stories with us because only then will you realise that truly, you are not alone.

Some may consider these photos as graphic. But no blood is shown.
This is my 2nd (possible 3rd) loss. My husband and I were able to see her. We buried her after these photos were taken.
In some photos she appears lighter in color than others, and that is because the doctor recommended refrigeration to preserve tissue. But then said, over the phone, that I was too early and there wasn't any testing they could do. I miscarried on thanksgiving of 2015. These are the only photos I will ever have of our baby.
Please no hateful words. I made this video for those who are interested in seeing what a 6 and a half week old fetus looks like. And also, to preserve the only memory we will ever have with her.
And no, obviously we didn't know the gender, but I felt like she would have been a girl and it's far better than calling her an it.
The ultrasound shown was performed on November 24, 2015. I was 6w4d and they were concerned it may have been an ectopic pregnancy, because I had several hcg blood draws previous and my levels were not dropping as quickly as they thought they should.
We will always love our babies. RIP my angels.

Miscarriage at 11 Weeks
This was a very difficult video to make but I felt like it was important for me to share and hopefully I can help somebody out there who is going through the same thing as me. I never thought this would happen to me so I was totally unprepared. Unfortunately we lost our third baby at 11 weeks. We discovered at our second ultrasound that the baby had not progressed past 6 weeks and we had suffered a missed miscarriage. I was scheduled for a D&C; two days later however the next day I miscarried myself naturally at home. Although we are devastated and saddened by this experience, we also feel incredibly grateful for all the support we have received. Thank you so much for your lovely messages and comments. We have a different kind of vlog for you today. This one is for all the couples and women out there who are going through or may go through the heartache of a miscarriage. Sadly a miscarriage happens to 1 in 4 pregnancies in Australia and most women suffer in silence. There has always been a pressure not to announce a pregnancy before 12 weeks due to the risk of a miscarriage. While we do partially agree, this is the reason why many women never even get an opportunity to talk about their grief-- as the pregnancy was never announced to begin with. For this reason, we have always shared the exciting news with friends and family who we knew would rejoice with us but more importantly, offer their support if we were to experience a miscarriage. 6 week 6 days miscarriage / photos of baby
Some may consider these photos as graphic. But no blood is shown. This is my 2nd (possible 3rd) loss. My husband and I were able to see her. We buried her after these photos were taken. In some photos she appears lighter in color than others, and that is because the doctor recommended refrigeration to preserve tissue. But then said, over the phone, that I was too early and there wasn't any testing they could do. I miscarried on thanksgiving of 2015. These are the only photos I will ever have of our baby. Please no hateful words. I made this video for those who are interested in seeing what a 6 and a half week old fetus looks like. And also, to preserve the only memory we will ever have with her. And no, obviously we didn't know the gender, but I felt like she would have been a girl an... -

This was a very difficult video to make but I felt like it was important for me to share and hopefully I can help somebody out there who is going through the same thing as me. I never thought this would happen to me so I was totally unprepared.

We have a different kind of vlog for you today.
This one is for all the couples and women out there who are going through or may go through the heartache of a miscarriage. Sadly a miscarriage happens to 1 in 4 pregnancies in Australia and most women suffer in silence.
There has always been a pressure not to announce a pregnancy before 12 weeks due to the risk of a miscarriage. While we do partially agree, this is the reason why many women never even get an opportunity to talk about their grief-- as the pregnancy was never announced to begin with.
For this reason, we have always shared the exciting news with friends and family who we knew would rejoice with us but more importantly, offer their support if we were to experience a miscarriage. In doing so, we make ourselves vulnerable but our decision was proven to have been a wise one this past week when we went through our first pregnancy loss.
We have been through a roller coaster of emotions over the past 2 months-- falling pregnant after 9 months of trying to conceive and then dealing with the devastation of our loss. Although somehow in the span of 3 days, we went from devastation to complete peace over our situation. It was all in our choice to respond with the right attitude. There are certain life lessons that God wants to teach us that can only be learnt through significant loss and that's exactly what He did.
We are sharing our story with our YouTube family and the world because we believe there is strength to be drawn from our experience. If you feel brave, we encourage you to do the same and share your stories with us because only then will you realise that truly, you are not alone.
