Franchise mode has always been my bread and butter, dating back as long as I can remember. This year however, is going to be even better. This year I am doing 2, count them 2 Madden 15 Franchises!! This franchise will be the Arizona Cardinals, with the Week 1 rosters, and my other franchise is the Buffalo Bills that I started back when EA Access first launched Madden 15! I chose these two teams for the exact opposite reasons, so I think my two Franchise modes will be able to cater to everyone, as I go down the road with two franchises who have never won a Superbowl, and try to change things. The Bills are trending upward, while the Cardinals are about to flatline, and here is why. Larry Fitzgerald will be a 23 million dollar cap hit in 2015. With him, and a ton of expiring contracts, the Cardinals are in a terrible position for the future, so win now is their only option. An aging Carson Palmer leads the offense with draftee Logan Thomas behind him, and Andre Ellington in the backfield. Out wide, the Cardinals have Fitz, Ted Ginn and Michael Floyd, and not much else. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, things got worse. Daryl Washington was already suspended for the season, but recently one of the most durable DL in the NFL (played 168 of 170 games since being drafted in 2004, tied for most in the league) Darnell Dockett tore his ACL in 11 on 11 drills. Losing both of them, along with Karlos Dansby to FA puts the Cardinals in an uncomfortable spot. Luckily for them, they have Patrick Peterson, along with Antonio Cromartie and Tyrann Mathieu in the secondary. That paired with Calais Cambell on the D-Line, poses a defensive threat to every team in the league. Playing in the NFC West however will be no easy task, especially with those 3 losses. All 4 teams could finish above .500, and have stout defenses. Can the Cardinals overcome reigning Superbowl Champion Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers, and the St. Louis Rams en route to their first superbowl victory in team history, or will they fall short, and begin a rather painful rebuilding process with nothing to show for their hard work?
