Jigsaw (Marvel Comics)

Jigsaw is a fictional character, a supervillain and archenemy of the Marvel Comics antihero the Punisher. He was created by Len Wein and Ross Andru, and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #162 (November 1976)

Publication history

Jigsaw debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #162–163, returning in The Amazing Spider-Man #188, and The Punisher #1 and #4–5. Jigsaw then allied with the Rev in The Punisher Vol. 2, #35–40, and Gregario in #55–56. Following a cameo appearance in The Punisher War Journal #61, Jigsaw's origin was detailed in Issues #3–4 of the prequel limited series The Punisher: Year One, and he furthered bedeviled the Punisher in Punisher Vol. 3, #2–4 and #9–10.

Proceeding an encounter with the eponymous character in Daredevil Vol. 2, #61–64, Jigsaw appeared in The New Avengers #1–3, #35, #46, #50, #57, and The New Avengers Annual #2; concurrent to his appearances in that title, Jigsaw also starred in Punisher War Journal Vol. 2, #11, #18–20, and #22–23. He was then featured in the five-issue miniseries Punisher: In the Blood, and made a subsequent cameo in the Thunderbolts Vol. 2 Annual.

Jigsaw (U.S. TV series)

Jigsaw is a television crime drama that aired as an element of the short-lived wheel series The Men, part of the ABC network's 1972-73 lineup. Universal Television produced Jigsaw; the same studio had previously been responsible for a series which, in part, inspired The Men: The NBC Mystery Movie.

Overview

The program starred James Wainwright as Lt. Frank Dain, who worked as an investigator for the California State Police Department's Bureau of Missing Persons. Dain was a rebel who chafed at standard police procedures and techniques, but was always effective in finding the person for whom he was searching. He pieced each case together as if it were a jigsaw puzzle. Shortly before the series' cancellation, Dain was booted from the bureau and set up shop as a private eye.

This is a character guide for the Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem. Each character has his or her class labeled. A class is a category within the Fire Emblem series that outlines a unit's characteristics. Along with the character's class is their "promotion class" — the class that the character will upgrade to upon promotion. If a character has no promotion class, it means that they were already promoted when recruited into the party. Also mentioned for some characters are "supports." Lady Lyndis

(a.k.a. Lyn)

Lyn (リン, Rin) is the first female main character in the series since Fire Emblem Gaiden. Although her full name is Lyndis (リンディス, Rindisu), she is referred to in almost all screens by her Sacaen name 'Lyn' throughout the game. The two names are generally regarded to be interchangeable, depending on who addresses her. She is 18 (15 in the Japanese version) at the beginning of the events of Fire Emblem.

Lloyd (given name)

The name Lloyd is a variation of the Welsh word llwyd or clwyd, which means "grey" or "brown" (Llwyd is also used as a personal name). The double-l represents the voiceless alveolar lateral fricative of Welsh, and was sometimes also represented as fl, yielding the related name Floyd which can also be a variation of the family name Flood

North German Automobile and Engine

Norddeutsche Automobil und Motoren GmbH (North German Automobile and Engines) was a German automobile manufacturer, created in 1908 and owned by the Norddeutscher Lloyd shipping company. The factory was in Bremen. Many of the products of the company and its successors were badged with the Lloyd marque.

The German Lloyd marque had no connection with the British Lloyd Cars Ltd company active between 1936 and 1951.

1908–29

The first cars were licence-built Kriéger electric vehicles. Petrol-engined models followed in 1908 with 3685 cc engines, but few were made. In 1914 the company merged with Hansa to become Hansa-Lloyd Werke AG. Most of the cars made by the new company were sold as Hansa with the Hansa-Lloyd name attached to commercial vehicles only. Nevertheless, two cars, the 4-litre Treff AS and the 8-cylinder 4.6-litre Trumpf AS were badged as Hansa-Lloyds. The company was integrated in the Borgward group after the purchase of Hansa by Carl F. W. Borgward in 1929, and car production ceased.
