Hello everyone! In this lesson you will see my parents and me having a nice time in the maritime museum in my dear hometown Arkhangelsk in the Northern Russia. Hope you enjoy. The script of the video: Всем привет! Hey everyone! Сегодня мы с вами пойдём в морской музей. Today we’ll go to the Maritime museum. Он находится в моём родном городе, в городе Архангельске. It’s situated in my hometown, in the town Arkhangelsk. Когда я хожу в музей, мне не нужны экскурсоводы, потому что мои родители очень умные. When I go to a museum, I don’t need guides, because my parents are very smart. Они очень много знают. They know so much. Сегодня я познакомлю вас с моим папой и с моей мамой. Today you’ll meet my Dad and my Mom. У нас в городе Архангельске появился очень интересный морской музей. In our town Arkhangelsk we’ve got a very interesting maritime museum. Все корабли сделаны по принципу скелета рыбы. Не замечаешь? All the ships are made on a ‘fish skeleton’ basis. Don’t you notice? Нет. No. Я помню, что с дедушкой об этом говорил, что шпангоуты напоминают рыбные кости. I remember I was talking to my granddad about the fact, that ship ribs remind fish bones. Это парадный корабль. It’s the ship for parades. И что в нём вон там внутри? And what’s there inside? Там внутри? There inside? Ну, это штурвал. Well, that is a steering wheel. Это компас. This is a compass. На обед приглашали с помощью вот этого противня и молотка. For lunch (they) invited with the help of that tray and the hammer. Стучали молотком и приглашали на обед. Clanked with a hummer and invited for a lunch. А там что за бочка? Вон там внутри. And what kind of barrel is there? Over there, inside. Вон там бочка, что за бочка? There, a barrel, what kind of barrel is that? Бочка? Это питьевая вода. A barrel? It’s drinking water. Ну, иногда и ром привозили из Норвегии. Well, sometimes (they) brought rum from Norway. А там Белая башня, да? And there is the ‘White Tower’, yes? Это маяк, построенный при жизни Пушкина. It’s a lighthouse, built when Pushkin was alive. В каком году? Which year? В тысяча восемьсот тридцать седьмом году, седьмого сентября был зажиг. In 1837. (The first) lighting (of the lamp) was on September 7. Его несколько раз пытались уничтожить – во время интервенции, во время Великой отечественной войны. (They) tried to destroy it a few times – during Intervention (1918-20), and during the Great Patriotic War (1941-45). Он до сих пор работает. It’s still working. В морском музее я обнаружила два интересных экспоната – два камня. In the Maritime museum I discovered 2 interesting exhibits – 2 stones. На этих камнях рисовал наш великий, известный художник и сказочник Степан Григорьевич Писахов. Our great, famous artist and fairytale teller Stepan Grigorievich Pisakhov painted (on) them. Вот на первом камне в тысяча девятьсот двадцать восьмом году он нарисовал ледокольный пароход «Георгий Седов». Here, on the first stone in 1928, he painted an icebreaker (with steam engines) ‘Georgy Sedov’. Надо сказать, что Степан Писахов очень часто отправлялся в морские путешествия. It must be said, that Stepan Pisakhov often went on the sea-voyages. Поэтому эти работы сделаны с натуры. That’s why these pieces were made (painted) ‘from nature’. И очень интересно, что он использует живой природный материал – камень. And it’s very interesting, that he uses ‘live’ natural material – stones. Я надеюсь, вам понравилось.
