Radioactive Rain! What Should You Do? ☢ So, you have found that your rain is high in radiation and you are curious what to do? I have seen so many recent videos showing thousands of counts per minute of radiation. It is important to report very high readings to the proper authorities, such as your local environmental agency, and have your samples tested and verified. When your Geiger counter detects radiation of an activity of greater than 1,000 counts per minute / meter squared, you are probably in the midst of something you should remove yourself from. Before you post a video showing this, consider that you might also wish to get some help, or at least a second opinion, before alarming people. If you do contact your local, state, or national EPA, you might include this in your video to allow others to know you did the right thing. If you are under the impression that your queries will go unanswered, the fact that you post a video with carefully verifiable tests and information showing that you contacted the authorities, might spur them to help you. P.S. When showing a paper swipe test, please be sure to open the paper to show it free of anything and show your entire work area, with a careful test, all in the same scene and with the camera show all areas. This helps ensure people understand the sincerity of your work. NOTE: This video was not directed towards any single person, but merely something I felt needed in light of all of the videos popping up showing dangerously high readings in rain.
