An hour outside Bangkok is the Damnoen floating market. Boarding a canoe we experienced the organized and electric chaos. What a cool way to shop from hundreds of vendors. But we were gonna do a ton of shopping later so we got our guide to take a detour. Yeah there is a whole city that lives like this and we got to see their lives. I recommend a private custom tour guide for the inexperienced traveller. Ours is George. He showed us to some amazing thai food and got us the detour to the rest of the floating city. And like everything else in Thailand it was pretty inexpensive. Dang that is some good thai food. More on the food to come. Later we visited some of the locals... and their pets.
