Jedna od odlika vila kao demonskih bića jeste ta da se one po pravilu javljaju u množini i anonimno. U našim verovanjima, posebno u folkloru, javljaju se tri vile: '"K njoj mi dolećeše/ Tri vile bijele" (Karadžić, I, 1973: 76), ređe devet: "Kolo igra devet 6'jelih vila" (Junpjes., 1896: 404). Među vilama postoji jedna koja predvodi ostale, tako da ih katkada ima i deset: "Tu imade devet sestrenica/ I pred njima vila najstarija/ Po imenu vila Jerisavlja" (Petran., II, 1989: 23). Međutim, ima i vila koje žive za sebe, obično kao čuvarice izvora ili bunara, kao na primer pomenuta vila sa planine Urvina. Ili je reč o vili baždarici - koja brani pristup ka vodi u planini, i koja traži otkupninu za korišćenje vode, odnosno prelaza sa one strane reke. U razvijenoj epskoj poeziji vile su još više individualizovane, tako da katkad dobijaju i osobena, lična imena, kao što su: Ravijojla, Andesila, Jerisavlja, Anđelija.
U poeziji je vila najčešće prikazana kao lepa. "Da vile imaju životinjske noge, kozje ili konjske ili magareće" poznato je i današnjim Grcima. Vile uopšte mogu imati kozji oblik. Kada je reč o osnovnim funkcijama vila, bar na osnovi našeg folklora, njihovo je glavno zanimanje igranje u kolu. I prema drugim slovenskim izvorima karakteristično svojstvo vila je muzikalnost (Et. Slov, 1995: 370). Navešću ovde i jedan Milićevićev zapis: "Seljaci iz okolnih sela na pitanje: šta je to? odgovaraju: da je to Viljokolo, to jest kolo gorskih vila koje tu igraju svoje vilinske igre; a ono mesto što je izdignuto na sredini, vele da je za svirača, koji svira tim planinskim igračicama". Isto tako, "kad je kopan granični jarak, ni jedan od seljaka iz obližnjih sela nije hteo udariti budakom u Viljokolo, bojeći se vila; nego su ga raskopali neki Turci, koji su se tu zadesili. - I sada se trava oko Viljokola kosi, a na samom kolu niko ne sme ni slamke da uzbere" (Milić., 1884: 274). Ovaj primer pokazuje kako ime jednog prostora, naseobine, poteza, poseduje, istovremeno, snažnu mitsku implikaciju koju narod toga kraja veoma uvažava.
Ali, vile vole i da se takmiče sa mladićima u igranju i izdržljivosti. Što se ženskih poslova tiče, vile iz naše narodne književnosti vole tkanje. One "imaju i mlinove i vitlove", dakle, interesuju se za brašno, budući da se bave mešenjem i pečenjem hleba. "Jedna od poznatih funkcija vilinih je da su one 'čuvarke ratarstva' one daju ilodnost poljsku, a isto tako i stočnu plodnost". Međutim, one mogu čoveka i da oboleste. O kakvoj je to bolesti reč? "Najčešće se bolest manifestuje u besnilu i umnoj poremećenosti", tako da osoba postaje vilovnjak. Kaže se: vilovnjak je "besan čovek, kao da su vile u njemu". Poznato je da vile imaju i mantičku sposobnost, tj. one mogu vršiti ulogu iroročice. Poznat je primer iz epske poezije, kada vila sa Urvine planine predskazuje smrt Marku Kraljeviću.
"Al' mu b'jela odgovara vila:/ 'Pobratime, Kraljeviću Marko,/ tebe nitko Šarca otet neće,/ nit ti možeš umrijeti, Marko od junaka ni od oštre sablje,/ od topuza ni od bojna koplja:/ ti s' ne bojiš na zemlji junaka;/ već ćeš, bolan, umrijeti, Marko,/ ja od boga, od starog krvnika'".

Kurt Vile
Kurt Samuel Vile (born January 3, 1980) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is best known for his solo career. Both in the studio and during live performances, Vile is accompanied by his backing band, The Violators, which currently includes Jesse Trbovich (bass, guitar, sax), Rob Laakso (guitar, bass) and Kyle Spence (drums).
Influenced by Pavement, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Tom Petty, and John Fahey, Vile began his musical career creating lo-fi home recordings with frequent collaborator Adam Granduciel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Focusing on his solo career, Vile released two albums, Constant Hitmaker (2008) and God Is Saying This to You... (2009), compiling various home recordings dating back to 2003. Vile signed to Matador Records in 2009, and released his third album, Childish Prodigy, that same year. The album was his first recorded in a studio and with the full participation of The Violators.
In 2011, Vile released his fourth studio album, Smoke Ring for My Halo, which significantly increased his exposure. His fifth studio album, Wakin on a Pretty Daze, was released in 2013, with Laakso replacing Granduciel in his backing band. In 2015, Vile released his sixth studio album, b'lieve I'm goin down....

Plot: Meet five girls that are Garden State, but not garden variety. Mischief and mayhem ensue as tempers run high, patience wears thin and all sanity and reason fall by the wayside. Jedna od odlika vila kao demonskih bića jeste ta da se one po pravilu javljaju u množini i anonimno. U našim verovanjima, posebno u folkloru, javljaju se tri vile: '"K njoj mi dolećeše/ Tri vile bijele" (Karadžić, I, 1973: 76), ređe devet: "Kolo igra devet 6'jelih vila" (Junpjes., 1896: 404). Među vilama postoji jedna koja predvodi ostale, tako da ih katkada ima i deset: "Tu imade devet sestrenica/ I pred njima vila najstarija/ Po imenu vila Jerisavlja" (Petran., II, 1989: 23). Međutim, ima i vila koje žive za sebe, obično kao čuvarice izvora ili bunara, kao na primer pomenuta vila sa planine Urvina. Ili je reč o vili baždarici - koja brani pristup ka vodi u planini, i koja traži otkupninu za korišćenje vode, odnosno prelaza sa one strane reke. U razvijenoj epskoj poeziji vile su još više individualizovane, tako da katkad dobijaju i osobena, lična imena, kao što su: Ravijojla, Andesila, Jerisavlja, Anđelija.
U poeziji je vila najčešće prikazana kao lepa. "Da vile imaju životinjske noge, kozje ili konjske ili magareće" poznato je i današnjim Grcima. Vile uopšte mogu imati kozji oblik. Kada je reč o osnovnim funkcijama vila, bar na osnovi našeg folklora, njihovo je glavno zanimanje igranje u kolu. I prema drugim slovenskim izvorima karakteristično svojstvo vila je muzikalnost (Et. Slov, 1995: 370). Navešću ovde i jedan Milićevićev zapis: "Seljaci iz okolnih sela na pitanje: šta je to? odgovaraju: da je to Viljokolo, to jest kolo gorskih vila koje tu igraju svoje vilinske igre; a ono mesto što je izdignuto na sredini, vele da je za svirača, koji svira tim planinskim igračicama". Isto tako, "kad je kopan granični jarak, ni jedan od seljaka iz obližnjih sela nije hteo udariti budakom u Viljokolo, bojeći se vila; nego su ga raskopali neki Turci, koji su se tu zadesili. - I sada se trava oko Viljokola kosi, a na samom kolu niko ne sme ni slamke da uzbere" (Milić., 1884: 274). Ovaj primer pokazuje kako ime jednog prostora, naseobine, poteza, poseduje, istovremeno, snažnu mitsku implikaciju koju narod toga kraja veoma uvažava.
Ali, vile vole i da se takmiče sa mladićima u igranju i izdržljivosti. Što se ženskih poslova tiče, vile iz naše narodne književnosti vole tkanje. One "imaju i mlinove i vitlove", dakle, interesuju se za brašno, budući da se bave mešenjem i pečenjem hleba. "Jedna od poznatih funkcija vilinih je da su one 'čuvarke ratarstva' one daju ilodnost poljsku, a isto tako i stočnu plodnost". Međutim, one mogu čoveka i da oboleste. O kakvoj je to bolesti reč? "Najčešće se bolest manifestuje u besnilu i umnoj poremećenosti", tako da osoba postaje vilovnjak. Kaže se: vilovnjak je "besan čovek, kao da su vile u njemu". Poznato je da vile imaju i mantičku sposobnost, tj. one mogu vršiti ulogu iroročice. Poznat je primer iz epske poezije, kada vila sa Urvine planine predskazuje smrt Marku Kraljeviću.

Rob Laasko, like his stringed brother Jesse Trbovich on the other side of the stage, bounces between guitar and bass during shows. His current No. 1 bass is this late ’70s Fender P Bass. (It is worth noting that Laasko mentions in the video that his real No. 1—a vintage B.C. Rich Mockingbird—was “accidentally” left back in Philly.) I really focused on getting familiar with it, so much so that I just bought another ’64 Jaguar for the road.” One typically is tuned to standard or down a half-step while the other could be in any number of Vile’s own creative open tunings.
