It is supposed to be a random one-off hook up. But something about Him keeps Her coming back. This is not how it is supposed to work, but if she can lay some ground rules, surely this ‘arrangement’ can keep going without anyone getting TOO attached… Right? The Art Of Keeping It Casual is a sharply written and downright sexy web series, which speaks to a new generation of sexually empowered women. Think a slightly more grown up version of HBO’S GIRLS - a little older and self possessed, sure, but still 'effing' up when it comes to sex and relationships. The impetus to write The Art of Keeping It Casual came from a desire to fill a gap (pun intended) in the current spectrum of female characters: to create a fun, challenging role that resonated with me and a character that speaks to women like me. A strong, sexually empowered female lead for the Jezebel-reading, Girls-watching, Amy-Schumer-relating independent woman and the guys who dig them. Short and sharp with the average episode length at 3 minutes, the series is perfect for people who like their comedy a little edgy and kinda suggestive, with nods to the world of online dating profiles, tinder and sexting. A world where nothing lewd is seen but EVERYTHING is suggested. Having had numerous script readings already, the feedback I have received - particularly from women - is overwhelmingly positive! I have already assembled a talented creative team consisting of a Producer, Director of Photography and male lead and the wheels are in motion for a four-day shoot in December.
