The phonograph is a device invented in 1877 for the mechanical recording and reproduction of sound. In its later forms it is also called a gramophone (as a trademark since 1887, as a generic name since c. 1900). The sound vibration waveforms are recorded as corresponding physical deviations of a spiral groove engraved, etched, incised, or impressed into the surface of a rotating cylinder or disc, called a "record". To recreate the sound, the surface is similarly rotated while a playback stylus traces the groove and is therefore vibrated by it, very faintly reproducing the recorded sound. In early acoustic phonographs, the stylus vibrated a diaphragm which produced sound waves which were coupled to the open air through a flaring horn, or directly to the listener's ears through stethoscope-type earphones. In later electric phonographs (also known as record players (since 1940s) or, most recently, turntables), the motions of the stylus are converted into an analogous electrical signal by a transducer called a pickup or cartridge, electronically amplified, then converted back into sound by a loudspeaker.

PLEASE READ: Since making this video many record enthusiasts who know a great deal more than me about players have said this is a very poor player and far better can be bought for the same price if cheaper - even a vintage one. I can say this player is very popular with younger people like myself into the 50s/60s scene but its still probably not a good buy. Apparently it 'carves' into the records on a minute scale, which I don't see why it matters particularly much if its so subtle it cannot be noticed, but prolonged use on collectible records doesn't sound like a wise decision. This video was made simply from a 'joe bloggs' perspective, and it was based only on first impressions. I still have it and it works great for the odd spin but I'm sure technically its not good compared to other tu...

pokemon go hack moneyJoin a Team and Battle At a certain point in the game, you’ll be asked to join one of three teams. Once you join a team, you’ll gain the ability to assign Pokémon you’ve caught to open Gym locations or to a Gym where a team member has assigned a Pokémon. Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real locations in the world. Each player can place only one Pokémon at a particular Gym, so you’ll need to work together with other members of your team to build up a strong defense. If a rival team has claimed a Gym, you can challenge it by using Pokémon you’ve caught to battle the defending Pokémon. Battles are challenging and fun. You choose which of your Pokémon will join in. Each Pokémon has two attacks, and can also dodge the defending Pokémon’s attacks if you swipe left or ...
pokemon go poke coins hackSweet! Would I be able to name my Pokémon? Yep. No stresses in the event that you neglect to do as such once you get one; you can simply go into the Pokémon area of the menu and alter your creatures' names. How do I get all the more Pokémon? Catching is something that isn't particularly all around clarified in Pokémon Go. As you cross this present reality, as spoke to on the in-amusement map, you'll sporadically keep running into tufts of stirring grass. There's additionally a helpful meter demonstrating which Pokémon are close-by on the lower right-hand corner of the map. By default, this a player in the screen demonstrates the three nearest Pokémon to your physical area; tapping on it will uncover a more extensive take a gander at the accessible Pokémon to ge...

pokemon go hack ifileHold up, what are eggs? Here's a little Pokémon science lesson for you: All infant Pokémon hatch from eggs laid by their moms. Albeit two Pokémon of various species can mate, the child will dependably be the same sort of Pokémon as its mother. In Pokémon Go, in any case, Pokémon can't breed. There are no offices to backing that (yet?), as there are in the handheld titles. Rather, the sort of Pokémon tucked within an egg you've found involves possibility. As it were, eggs are Pokémon Go's arbitrary plunder boxes, holding up to be unloaded and their substance discovered. Check out our manual for Pokémon Go eggs to realize where you can discover them and how to bring forth new creatures. PokéStops are imperative or notable spots around your region: They might be extrao...
This nice Columbia record player has two 6 1/2 inch woofers and an electrostatic tweeter. A Columbia branded VM 1200 changer. Changer and amplifier fully restored. One of the best sounding tabletop players from the 1950s.
In the intro, the Boohball goes to Japan and Spain for this episode. Jingbah starts off a spinning around dance. In storyworld, Grandmama, Grandpapa, Brother and Sister listen to their favourite music on an old record player. Before the end, the Boohbahs do a stopping and starting dance.
Here's an Olympic (actually a rebadged Electrophonic) "all in one" stereo that contains an 8-track tape player, AM/FM radio, and a component two-speed record changer that was made by Maestro. Magnavox used a very similar disaster changer in some of their early '70's models. The receiver needed it's amplifier section overhauled and the record changer needed a new cartridge and lubrication.

Third Man Records has officially made history in celebration of their 7th Anniversary by launching the first record played in Space. The launch of the ICARUS CRAFT, a custom “space-proof” turntable attached to a high-altitude balloon, occurred on July 2nd just outside of Marsing, Idaho, spinning Third Man’s THREE MILLIONTH record pressed. The ICARUS CRAFT was designed and engineered by Kevin Carrico, longtime friend and electronics consultant for Third Man Records, and launched with the invaluable assistance of SATINS (Students and Teachers in Near Space.) The goal of our mission was to send a vinyl record up as high as possible and document it being played there. Near space (our ultimate destination) is a regular destination for NASA (it’s the closest we come to mimicking the atmosphere...
Very interesting Doc about Christian Marclay and his spin on things, yanked from UBUWEB.
I checkout this Admiral suitcase style record player and begin work on the mechanism. (Good news! My collar bone is only cracked, not broken, and I'm likely to recover quickly. I must avoid raising my right arm beyond 90 degrees or lifting anything heavy but otherwise, I can use my arm for light duty. Lucky).
I'm using my newly acquired microscope to examine four record player needles. I am training myself to recognize the indications of wear and how to judge the degree of wear. It's not as easy as you might think. The four needles are the non-stereo type. Two are for 78 RPM and two are for 331/3 RPM. I'm looking forward to your comments about the technique I'm using. And I'm open to more ideas about examining needles or other things under the microscope. Hope you enjoy!
