The acapella trend is alive and well and the leaders of the pack have announced they're heading down under to perform live.
American quintet Pentatonix, known for the vocal covers of hit pop songs, are set to wow fans in their very first concert visit to New Zealand.
The Grammy-winning act first burst onto the scene in 2011, showing off their instrument-free music on YouTube and have since sold more than 3.2 million albums in the United States and sold out venues across the world.
The group comprised of harmonic trio Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstin Maldonado, bassist Avi Kaplan and beatboxer Kevin Olusola. They also made an appearance in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect 2, which stars Anna Kendrick and Australian actress Rebel Wilson.
Some of their most popular covers include their Daft Punk medley, Can't Hold Us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and their version of Royals by Kiwi popstar, Lorde.
Most recently Pentatonix joined up with RnB singer Jason Derulo for their single If I Ever Fall In Love, the song has already received more than 4.5 million hits on their YouTube channel.
