      • Why should the Saints and the Dees be rewarded with extra draft picks for stuffing up with past drafts. It's only a couple of years since the Saints played Geelong and the Pies in Grand Finals and both these sides are still very competitive. It is all about list management these days and teams should not be bailed out if they haven't got their act together.

        • Dees weren't to know that thier Gun forward would retire with stress. Even with thier low finishes in recent years the addition of both the Suns and GWS has set back a few clubs who lost access to gun players. If we want an even comp and not one sided games the Draft and teams lists need assessing by the AFL. Not sure if you've noted but lower clubs have been losing gun players with free agency. Saints have lost players to retirement and both Goddard and Del Santo to free agency.

          • When they play a team that doesn't put 18 players as a roving maul. Did you watch the second half, I tried but it was too awful - almost as bad as watching the dutch-argie snore fest the other day. And before any soccer heads launch (what are you doing here anyway?) I don't care about 0-0, I just cannot stand soccer where its kick-to-kick in the back half.

I hate 'defensive' coaches they ruin the joy of all sports.

        • What a terribly one sided two games of football this afternoon. Melbourne and StKilda are in desperate strife, Melbourne for many years and welcome to the club, StKilda. Something has to be done by the AFL for these two clubs in regard to access to talent otherwise the AFL will be digging deep to financially support both clubs for years. Demoralising being a Demon supporter.

          • I agree Dees supporter, I think this year the bottom 4 sides should share the first 8 Draft picks. They could iether use thier 2 Picks on youth or trade one for a quality experienced player. The top 6 teams to the AFLs credit seems even but the bottom 4 to 6 teams need help

Demote them permantly to the VFL. What a disgrace that club is. Rebuild or no rebuild, the have gone from a very good outfit to a competitive team... to a useless rabble in no time at all; as for the coaches, administration and power brokers; take a damn good look at yourselves!

          • I think with 18 teams and the 2 most recent teams getting all the picks its effected clubs, Saints one of many. The comp is two one sided. Time to split the comp in two Divisions of 9 with a relegation system. At next TV rights deal set a year that the bottom 9 finish teams start Division 2 and to get to Division 1 they must win that Flag replacing the bottom team in Division 1. Should get closer games and teams play each other twice. Sadly on current form my Blues would be a Division 2 side

            • Wear the fox hat. True sadly the Dees are really struggling up forward thanks to the injury of Jesse Hogan and early retirement of Clark. In these days of Drafts designed to even the comp I wouldn't begrudge the Dees a special extra draft pick next year so they could recruit a young Forward or trade for a ready made one

            • Hey Go Blues, the Dees had those special draft picks and blew them on players that are no good. As a tiges supporter we have been hopeless for years but I don't want any special help. I remember us winning the 'tank' game because winning was more important than a draft pick.

I have nothing against the Dees - but I can't stand watching any club that Paul Roos goes near.

Get a bunch of 5 year olds together, throw a handful of lollies in the middle of them and watch Paul Roos' style of football.
