Description:
The goal of punishing a child is to teach them that what they did was wrong, and that there are consequences for their actions. The goal at the end of the punishment is to make sure that the child never does the action again that got them in trouble in the first place. But sometimes, implementing discipline isn’t that easy, and can lead to parents becoming extraordinarily frustrated to the point where they might snap. What’s a parent to do?
Parenting is a tough job, and it is not only physically demanding, but also mentally demanding. Constantly parents have to deal with raising a good human being while dealing with constant needs from the child. But no matter how far a child or teen may push a parent, there’s a line that has to be drawn when it comes to implementing punishment. Discipline in of itself is a challenge because if a parent is too easy on their punishment, then the child doesn’t learn anything. But if the punishment is too harsh, then you risk scarring the child both mentally and physically to the point they are psychologically damaged, or even killed in some cases.
Here are the stories of parent punishments that went too far. From locking a preteen out of the house for missing curfew to giving them a bad haircut for losing an iPad or beating them to death for wetting themselves, these parents have become the example of what not to do when disciplining a child.

Ryan Thomas Gosling (born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian actor and musician. He began his career as a child star on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club (1993–95) and went on to appear in other family entertainment programs including Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1995), Goosebumps (1996), Breaker High (1997–98) and Young Hercules (1998–99). His first serious role was as a Jewish neo-Nazi in The Believer (2001), and he then built a reputation for playing misfits in independent films such as Murder by Numbers (2002), The Slaughter Rule (2002), The United States of Leland (2003) and Stay (2005).
Gosling came to the attention of a wider audience in 2004 with a leading role in the romantic drama The Notebook, for which he won four Teen Choice Awards and an MTV Movie Award. His performance as a drug-addicted teacher in Half Nelson (2006) was nominated for an Academy Award and his performance as a socially inept loner in Lars and the Real Girl (2007) was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. In 2007, he starred in the courtroom thriller Fracture.

Constantly parents have to deal with raising a good human being while dealing with constant needs from the child. But no matter how far a child or teen may push a parent, there’s a line that has to be drawn when it comes to implementing punishment. Discipline in of itself is a challenge because if a parent is too easy on their punishment, then the child doesn’t learn anything. But if the punishment is too harsh, then you risk scarring the child both mentally and physically to the point they are psychologically damaged, or even killed in some cases.
Here are the stories of parent punishments that went too far. From locking a preteen out of the house for missing curfew to giving them a bad haircut for losing an iPad or beating them to death for wetting themselves, these parents have become the example of what not to do when disciplining a child.
