Ta-ku

Reagan Matthews, better known by his stage name Ta-ku, is an Australian musician, producer and photographer.

His debut Songs To Break Up To EP was released 8 October 2013 via HW&W Records and Sunday Records. His follow up Songs To Make Up To EP was released in June 2015 via Future Classic and Fool's Gold Records, which debuted at No. 18 of the ARIA Album Chart

Ta-ku has featured on Boiler Room and toured around Australia as part of Listen Out festival in 2014. In May 2015, Ta-ku was a Youth Speaker at TEDxSydney. Matthews is also a co-founder of Weston's Barbershop in Northbridge, Perth

Drive Slow

"Drive Slow" is a song by American rap artist Kanye West. The song was released on June 6, 2006 as the fifth and final single of West's second studio album, Late Registration. It contains a sample of the Hank Crawford cover version of "Wildflower," a song by the Canadian pop rock band Skylark. "Drive Slow" features Houston rapper Paul Wall and Chicago rapper GLC, with back-up vocals provided by singer Tony "Penafire" Williams. The song utilizes car culture as a metaphor to comment on people's lifestyles. Though it received approval by music critics for its lyricism and intricate sound, the single did not chart due to lack of airplay.

Background

The song was originally to feature M.I.A. who opted out of the appearance due to a busy schedule. Like a majority of the sophomore effort, the single marks a significant evolution in West's production, as it demonstrated him substituting his then characteristic sped-up soul style in favor of a slowed-down, alto jazz-infused drum loop.

Wall later included "Drive Slow" as the eleventh track on his international debut album The Peoples Champ. A remix for the song was released onto mixtapes and featured an additional verse from T.I., who later released it on the limited edition bonus disc DVD of his album, King.

Night

Night or nighttime (sp. night-time or night time) is the period of time between the sunset and the sunrise when the Sun is below the horizon.

This occurs after dusk. The opposite of night is day (or "daytime" to distinguish it from "day" as used for a 24-hour period). The start and end points of time of a night vary based on factors such as season, latitude, longitude and timezone.

At any given time, one side of the planet Earth is bathed in light from the Sun (the daytime) and the other side of the Earth is in the shadow caused by the Earth blocking the light of the sun. This shadow is called the umbra. Natural illumination is still provided by a combination of moonlight, planetary light, starlight, diffuse zodiacal light, gegenschein, and airglow. In some circumstances, bioluminescence, aurorae, and lightning can provide some illumination. The glow provided by artificial illumination is sometimes referred to as light pollution because it can interfere with observational astronomy and ecosystems.
