NOPD spokesman Tyler Gamble Thursday said people can donate to Hunter's family by going to any Capital One Bank branch and making a donation to the "Natasha Hunter Memorial Donation Fund."
Hunter is survived by her 5-year-old daughter; her parents; and two sisters, both who are in law enforcement.
Support for Hunter and the department has poured through social media, and a number of law enforcement officers from other agencies are expected to attend or participate in her funeral service and subsequent procession to the gravesite.
