Hainan (Chinese: 海南; pinyin: Hǎinán ; Jyutping: Hoi2 Naam4; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Hái-lâm; literally: "South of the Sea [Qiongzhou Strait]") is the smallest and southernmost province of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The name "Hainan" also refers to Hainan Island (海南岛, Hǎinán Dǎo), the main island of the province. Hainan is located in the South China Sea, separated from Guangdong's Leizhou Peninsula to the north by the shallow and narrow Qiongzhou Strait.
For 39 years after the PRC's establishment, Hainan was part of Guangdong Province until in 1988 when the island became part of the newly created Hainan Province (海南省, Hǎinán Shěng).
The province has an area of 33,920 square kilometers (13,100 sq mi) and is China's southernmost province. Although it comprises some two hundred islands scattered among three archipelagos off the southern coast, 32,900 square kilometres (12,700 sq mi) (97%) of its land mass is Hainan Island, from which the province takes its name. The PRC government claims territories of the province extend to the southern Spratly Islands, Paracel Islands, and other disputed marine territory.

Service-wise I think Hainan is a 5 star airline. Aside from my Singapore business class flight, I don't think I have met a more friendly, approachable, and professional crew. The flight had a lot of family with small children as well as a young man on crutches. I saw the purser actually tuck in a sleeping mother and her son. Another mother needed help getting into sleeping position with her young son in her arms and the crew brought extra pillows to help cushion her arms and make her more comfortable. The crew came by multiple times to help the young man get up for the bathroom and recline his seat for resting. The purser saw me taking pictures and encouraged me to take as much as I want. We had a short conversation and at the end she gifted me with a box of refrigerator magnets. The magne...

Hainan's first 787-9! The crew onboard this flight was just as excellent as my outbound flight from Beijing. I think Hainan is definitely trying to show that it deserves the 5 star rating and so far I think it is does deserve it. One aspect I thought that really showed this crew's attention to passenger comfort was that while we were waiting for pushback, the crew went around and distributed blankets. The blankets, by the way were thick and comfortable enough to be the comforters on your bed. However what was interesting was that they were bringing them out unwrapped one at a time and when I got mine I realized why. The blankets were gently warmed. The blankets/comforters themselves were thick and soft, bounds better than the paper thin cheap blankets I get on United domestic first class. ...

Sanya is the second southernmost city in China. The city is renowned for its tropical climate and has emerged as a popular tourist destination, also serving as the training site of the Chinese national beach volleyball team. http://www.chinatouradvisors.com/travelguide/Sanya/
Sanya was such a beautiful place to be. It really is a summer paradise! The southest City of China on an island surround by an ocean-- seem to me to be a no brainer choice to spend your summer. Check this video out where I travelled with my friend to Sanya, where we fed ourselves on a diet constitutes on mainly fresh coconuts, mangoes, pineapples are seafood! The amazing air quality is another plus! If you are thinking about going to Sanya, Hainan, do not hesitate to do so. Feel free to ask me about my trip if you want to have any tips on where to visit! Since Sanya is literally beside the ocean, and the city is surrounded by water, there are so many beaches that you can go to--this is literally the Chinese equivalent of Hawaii, if not better. Each beach has its own unique twist of style ...
https://www.expedia.com/Cook-Islands.d41.Destination-Travel-Guides Situated at the very centre of Polynesia, the Cook Islands is an archipelago nation comprised of 15 islands. It is spread across an area in the South Pacific, three times the size of Texas.. Supremely beautiful, with pristine white sands fringed by coconut palms, the Cook Islands possess a castaway island magic and yet is only a four hour flight from New Zealand. According to legend, these tiny islands, dotted amongst the vast ocean, were discovered thousands of years ago by the very finest Polynesian seafarers. Guided by the stars and using other sophisticated navigation techniques, they landed their legendary double hulled Vakas and set about creating paradise. It is a rhythm you’ll feel as soon as you touch down in...

Hainan Province aims to become "an international island resort destination on a par with Hawaii" according to China's State Council and is one of the world's fastest growing travel and tourism economies, boasting a more concentrated collection of luxury properties than anywhere else in the world. Due to a lack of development in the past, Hainan offers tourists a wealth of natural attractions, including a tropical climate, stunning beaches, forests and hot springs, as well as a rich cultural heritage. To ensure that the island meets its goals...
