The Bachchan family (Hindi: बच्चन परिवार) is a prominent Indian family, headed by Amitabh Bachchan, from which many members have participated in the Indian film industry.
It also includes his wife, actress Jaya Bhaduri, his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Shweta Nanda, son-in-law Nikhil Nanda and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are blessed with a baby girl named Aaradhya.On 16th May 2012, Aaradhya completed her 6 months. Amitabh Bachchan is the son of Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. The family has inter-married with the Kapoor Family. Shweta Nanda is married to Nikhil Nanda, the son of Ritu Nanda and the grandson of actor Raj Kapoor. The family stay in the two famous houses Jalsa and Pratheeksha in Mumbai.
Aishwarya Rai, known also as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after her marriage (Tulu pronunciation [əjɕʋərjaː rəj]; born 1 November 1973) is an Indian film actress. She worked as a model before starting her acting career, and ultimately won the Miss World pageant in 1994. Rai has featured in films in various languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.
Often cited by the media as the "most beautiful woman in the world", Rai made her acting debut with Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Iruvar (1997), and had her first commercial success in Jeans (1998).
