Boston (album)
Boston is the debut studio album by Boston-based American rock band Boston. Produced by Tom Scholz and John Boylan, the album was released on August 25, 1976, in the United States by Epic Records. Scholz had first begun playing music in the late 1960s after graduating from MIT with a master's degree, which led to a senior position at Polaroid. After being involved in the Boston music scene for several years, Scholz concentrated on demos recorded in his apartment basement with singer Brad Delp. His previous group, Mother's Milk, had received numerous rejection letters from major record labels in the early 1970s. By 1975, the demo tape had fallen into the hands of CBS-owned Epic Records, who signed the band.
Epic wanted the band to record in Los Angeles with a record producer, but Scholz was unwilling and wanted to record the album in his basement studio, so he hired Boylan to run interference with the label. In an elaborate ruse, Scholz tricked the label into thinking the band was recording on the West Coast, when in reality, the bulk was being tracked solely by Scholz at his Massachusetts home. The album's contents are a complete recreation of the band's demo tape, and contain songs written and composed many years prior. The album's style, often referred to as the "Boston sound", was developed through Scholz's love of classical music, melodic hooks and guitar-heavy rock groups such as the Kinks and the Yardbirds.

River
A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some cases a river flows into the ground and becomes dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water. Small rivers can be referred to using names such as stream, creek, brook, rivulet, and rill. There are no official definitions for the generic term river as applied to geographic features, although in some countries or communities a stream is defined by its size. Many names for small rivers are specific to geographic location; examples are "run" in some parts of the United States, "burn" in Scotland and northeast England, and "beck" in northern England. Sometimes a river is defined as being larger than a creek, but not always: the language is vague.
Rivers are part of the hydrological cycle. Water generally collects in a river from precipitation through a drainage basin from surface runoff and other sources such as groundwater recharge, springs, and the release of stored water in natural ice and snowpacks (e.g. from glaciers). Potamology is the scientific study of rivers while limnology is the study of inland waters in general.

Occurred on June 18, 2017 / Pacific North West River, USA "A family in the Pacific North West came across a cinnamon bear struggling to get out of a swollen rushing river. He was stuck in an eddy, or reverse current of water, too tired to get himself to shore. The river was flowing between 10-15' deeper than usual and incredibly powerful. The captain that was escorting the family up river directed his boat engines to help propel the bear out of the spinning currents and assisted him to shore. We thought he was a dog when we came up on him. He kept getting sucked under water. We thought he was a goner for sure because that river was no joke! I've never seen it this high!" Occurred on June 18, 2017 / Pacific North West River, USA "A family in the Pacific North West came across a cinnamon bear struggling to get out of a swollen rushing river. He was stuck in an eddy, or reverse current of water, too tired to get himself to shore. The river was flowing between 10-15' deeper than usual and incredibly powerful. The captain that was escorting the family up river directed his boat engines to help propel the bear out of the spinning currents and assisted him to shore. We thought he was a dog when we came up on him. He kept getting sucked under water. We thought he was a goner for sure because that river was no joke! I've never seen it this high!" THE RED ANT - The Great Book of Nature - EN
Four acorns are sent by their mother, the oak tree, to “conquer” a mountain devoid of vegetation. One of the acorns is exhausted by the trek towards the mountain, so it stops along the way to hitch a ride with a frog crossing the river on a leaf. When the acorn reaches the other bank, however, it realizes that there are still many obstacles to overcome on the trail to the mountain and so decides to set its roots in the valley. While the forlorn acorn grows with difficulty at the mercy of the forces of nature, its three brothers grow into sturdy oaks on the mountain. Thanks to the help of a friendly bulldozer, the lonely acorn manages to join up with the other members of its family, and together they sprout into one of the most verdant oak forests ever seen.

When the acorn reaches the other bank, however, it realizes that there are still many obstacles to overcome on the trail to the mountain and so decides to set its roots in the valley. While the forlorn acorn grows with difficulty at the mercy of the forces of nature, its three brothers grow into sturdy oaks on the mountain. Thanks to the help of a friendly bulldozer, the lonely acorn manages to join up with the other members of its family, and together they sprout into one of the most verdant oak forests ever seen.

Algae in Queenstown's popular Lake Hayes hit "warning" levels last week and now smaller quantities have been identified in the nearby Arrow River. However, the reports of dead fish in Arrow River were not related to its algae levels, the Otago Regional Council says. Council environmental resource scientist Rachel Ozanne said the quantity of algae in the Arrow River were "very small."....
