In 2014, Islamic State militants swept into Western Iraq's Anbar Province, overrunning Iraqi security forces, enslaving minorities, and causing thousands to flee for their lives.
The jihadist group captured Iraq’s largest city, Mosul, and the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, where hundreds of US troops died fighting the Islamic State’s predecessor.
Now, two years later, the Iraqi security forces, with help from Iranian-supported Shiite militias and US military advisors and warplanes, are fighting to take back towns and cities in Anbar, one battle at a time.
But it’s a difficult task: Anbar has been the crucible of Iraq’s insurgency, and is the country’s Sunni heartland — long marginalized by and hostile to the Shiite-led government in Baghdad.
VICE News embedded with Iraq’s Golden Division Special Forces unit as they fought their way into the villages surrounding the city of Hit, where they encountered ambushes, sniper fire, and tried to sort suspected Islamic State operatives and sympathizers from innocent Iraqi civilians.

Iraq War 2016 - Iraqi Forces In Heavy Clashes With ISIS During Intense Combat Action In The Battle For Fallujah.
The Iraqi Army, Iraqi Special Forces, Iraqs Federal Police and Iraqi paramilitary units of Iraqs Popular Mobilizition Forces released footage of them launching a major offensive against the ISIS held town of Fallujah.
The video shows Iraqi forces in heavy clashes, fighting and firefights during intense combat action in and outside the town during the recent Iraqi assault in order to capture Fallujah from ISIS fighters.
The offensive was a full sucess and Iraqi troops managed it to gain back the control over Fallujah after months of fighting.
The Battle of Fallujah (2016), also referred to as Third Battle of Fallujah,[ or Fallujah offensive (2016), code-named Operation Breaking Terrorism (Arabic: عملية كسر الإرهاب) by the Iraqi government, was a military operation against ISIL launched to capture the city of Fallujah and its suburbs, located about 69 kilometers (40 miles) west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The operation began on 22 May 2016, three months after the Iraqi forces had started the total siege of Fallujah. On 26 June, Iraqi forces recaptured the city of Fallujah, before recapturing the remaining pocket of ISIS resistance in Fallujah's western outskirts two days later.
Fallujah was the first city seized by ISIS in Iraq in January 2014. Iraqi forces completely surrounded the western city after they recaptured Ramadi in February 2016. ISIS militants prevented people from leaving the city.
Fallujah is considered tohave been the second most important stronghold of ISIS in Iraq, after Mosul.
The defeat of the Islamic State in this region can be seen as a major defeat for the group.
Combat started outside the site with Iraqi Special Forces and Popular Mobilization units carefully fighting their way towards the city before fierce urban combat action and heavy clashes started inside the town backed by Iraqi Mi-24 Hind and Mi-28 Havoc helicopters and several other Iraqi aircraft pounding ISIS positions while Iraqi Federal Police units and forces of the Iraqi Army were conducting operations inside the town aswell.

Iraq War 2016 - Extreme Large Fleeing ISIS Convoy Gets Totally Annihilated By Iraqi Mi-28 Havoc Gunships Near Fallujah.
The Iraqi Ministry of Defense released footage of Iraqi army aviation Mi-28 Havoc combat helicopters destroying a really extreme large ISIS vehicle convoy fleeing the battle of Fallujah.
The Islamic State convoy was intercepted by the Mi-28 heicopters while it was trying to retreat into Syria and then got totally annihilated by the Iraqi army helicopters.
The video shows the total destruction of the ISIS convoy in the desert west of Fallujah by the Iraqi army aviation Mi-28 Havoc gunship combat attack helicopters delivered by Russia and scenes of the convoys remains after the devastating helicopter rocket strike attack and heavy machine gun fire on the ISIS vehicles.
Sources claim about 700 ISIS vehicles fleeing the battlefield in Fallujah were destroyed during the attack.

The country borders Turkey to the north, Iran to the east, Kuwait to the southeast, Saudi Arabia to the south, Jordan to the southwest, and Syria to the west. The southern part of Iraq is within the Arabian Peninsula. The capital, Baghdad, is in the centre of the country and its largest city. The largest ethnic groups in Iraq are Arabs and Kurds. Other ethnic groups include Assyrians, Turkmen, Shabakis, Yazidis, Armenians, Mandeans, Circassians, and Kawliya. Around 95% of the country's 36 million citizens are Shia or Sunni Muslims, with Christianity, Yarsan, Yezidism, and Mandeanism also present.
Iraq has a narrow section of coastline measuring 58 km (36 mi) on the northern Persian Gulf and its territory encompasses the Mesopotamian Alluvial Plain, the northwestern end of the Zagros mountain range, and the eastern part of the Syrian Desert. Two major rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates, run south through the centre of Iraq and flow into the Shatt al-Arab near the Persian Gulf. These rivers provide Iraq with significant amounts of fertile land.

The Iraqi Army, Iraqi Special Forces, Iraqs Federal Police and Iraqi paramilitary units of Iraqs Popular Mobilizition Forces released footage of them launching a major offensive against the ISIS held town of Fallujah.
The video shows Iraqi forces in heavy clashes, fighting and firefights during intense combat action in and outside the town during the recent Iraqi assault in order to capture Fallujah from ISIS fighters.
The offensive was a full sucess and Iraqi troops managed it to gain back the control over Fallujah after months of fighting.
The Battle of Fallujah (2016), also referred to as Third Battle of Fallujah,[ or Fallujah offensive (2016), code-named Operation Breaking Terrorism (Arabic: عملية كسر الإرهاب) by the Iraqi government, was a military operation against ISIL launched to capture the city of Fallujah and its suburbs, located about 69 kilometers (40 miles) west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The operation began on 22 May 2016, three months after the Iraqi forces had started the total siege of Fallujah. On 26 June, Iraqi forces recaptured the city of Fallujah, before recapturing the remaining pocket of ISIS resistance in Fallujah's western outskirts two days later.
Fallujah was the first city seized by ISIS in Iraq in January 2014. Iraqi forces completely surrounded the western city after they recaptured Ramadi in February 2016. ISIS militants prevented people from leaving the city.
Fallujah is considered tohave been the second most important stronghold of ISIS in Iraq, after Mosul.
The defeat of the Islamic State in this region can be seen as a major defeat for the group.
Combat started outside the site with Iraqi Special Forces and Popular Mobilization units carefully fighting their way towards the city before fierce urban combat action and heavy clashes started inside the town backed by Iraqi Mi-24 Hind and Mi-28 Havoc helicopters and several other Iraqi aircraft pounding ISIS positions while Iraqi Federal Police units and forces of the Iraqi Army were conducting operations inside the town aswell.

Bangladesh is one of the few Muslim nations where prostitution is legal, and the country’s largest brothel is called Daulatdia, where more than 1,500 women and girls sell sex to thousands of men every day.

Bangladesh is one of the few Muslim nations where prostitution is legal, and the country’s largest brothel is called Daulatdia, where more than 1,500 women and girls sell sex to thousands of men every day.
Daulatdia is infamous for drug abuse and underage prostitution, and many of its sex workers are victims of sexual slavery who were trafficked into the area and sold to a pimp or a madam. They are forced to work off the fee that was paid for them, a debt that takes years to clear because they receive as little as a dollar for sex.
VICE News correspondent Tania Rashid visited the notorious Bangladeshi brothel — where human trafficking, underage prostitution, and drugs are commonplace — and met the traffickers and the trafficked, as well as the clientele.

Now if it was just Brexit that would be bad enough, but if we look at the Chilcot Report we can see a similar failing with the Iraq invasion. There is acceptance by Blair that things could be complicated and difficult, but the actual plan for rebuilding Iraq was an exercise in wishful thinking ...
