Web-spinning goats Strong, flexible spider silk is one of the most valuable materials in nature, and it could be used to make an array of products. Researchers inserted a spiders’ dragline silk gene into the goats’ DNA in such a way that the goats would only make the silk protein in their milk. This “silk milk” could then be used to manufacture a web-like material called Biosteel. 3. The Monkey Pig This animal has a simian jaw, bulging forehead, small snout and eyes that are so close together that they appear almost attached. Its front legs are much shorter than its back legs, causing it top hop rather than walk on all fours like a normal piglet. The animal was one of five piglets born to a sow owned by a family in China. The piglet’s condition is thought to be a result of a genetic defect known as holoprosencephaly. This condition can cause cyclopia, which may explain why the pig’s eyes are so close together. 2. The Cyclops Kitten Born with only one eye, 'Cleyed the Cyclops' stunned his owners when he was born. The second of the litter, Cleyed 'floored' everyone in the room as they realised that he had been born with a rare deformity that left him with one eye and no nose. Janus cats almost never survive, and most have birth defects, including a cleft palate, that makes it difficult for them to nurse and often causes them to slowly starve or get milk in their lungs and die of pneumonia. But, for reasons unknown, Frank and Louie did not suffer from these common ailments and have made it into the 2012 Guinness World Records as the longest-surviving Janus cat. Bizarre silks are a style of figured silk fabrics popular in Europe in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Bizarre silks are characterized by large-scale, asymmetrical patterns featuring geometrical shapes and stylized leaves and flowers, influenced by a wave of Asian textiles and decorative objects reaching the European market in these decades. Bizarre silks were used for both clothing and furnishings. As a description, the term was first used by Dr. Vilhelm Sloman in the title of a book, Bizarre Designs in Silks published in 1953 in Copenhagen.
The modern name "bizarre silk" reflects the bold colors and lavish use of textured gold and silver threads as well as the distinctive elongated asymmetrical patterns of silk fabrics woven in France, Italy and Britain from about 1695 to 1720. Woven silk designs of the 1670s had featured patterns of decorated stripes, but in the 1680s and 1690s these were replaced by the earliest "proto-bizarre" patterns, which featured exotic elements based on artifacts imported from the East Indies, China and India "indiscriminately combined with the current European taste for bulbous Baroque scrolls." At their most extreme, from 1700 to 1705, bizarre silks feature "some of the most extraordinary shapes to be introduced into silk design" before the development of Art Nouveau in the early 20th century. Characteristics of these designs include diagonal emphasis with stretched and distorted botanical motifs.

William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr. (born July 12, 1937) is an American comedian, actor, author, television producer, educator, musician and activist. A veteran stand-up performer, he got his start at various clubs, then landed a starring role in the 1960s action show, I Spy. He later starred in his own series, the situation comedy The Bill Cosby Show. He was one of the major characters on the children's television series The Electric Company for its first two seasons, and created the educational cartoon comedy series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, about a group of young friends growing up in the city. Cosby has also acted in a number of films.
During the 1980s, Cosby produced and starred in what is considered to be one of the decade's defining sitcoms, The Cosby Show, which aired eight seasons from 1984 to 1992. The sitcom highlighted the experiences and growth of an affluent African-American family. He also produced the spin-off sitcom A Different World, which became second to The Cosby Show in ratings. He starred in the sitcom Cosby from 1996 to 2000 and hosted Kids Say the Darndest Things for two seasons.
