The following is a list of episodes from Arrested Development, an American television sitcom created by Mitchell Hurwitz for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The show is centered around the Bluths, a formerly wealthy, habitually dysfunctional family and is presented in a pseudo-documentary format, incorporating hand-held camera work, narration, archival photos, and historical footage. Ron Howard is an executive producer and the uncredited narrator. Although set in Newport Beach and Balboa Island, California, Arrested Development was primarily filmed around Culver City and Marina del Rey.
Three seasons and 53 episodes of the show were produced and aired between 2003 and 2006 before it was canceled by Fox. On November 18, 2011, it was confirmed that Netflix would exclusively license ten new episodes for an early 2013 debut on its streaming video service.
The episodes below are listed by the order on the DVD and not their original broadcast order, as there are three instances where Fox aired the episodes out of chronological order. "Charity Drive" was aired before "Visiting Ours", but chronologically takes place after it; "In God We Trust" was produced and aired before "My Mother, the Car", but appears after it on the DVD; and "Missing Kitty" was aired after the two-part episode "Altar Egos" and "Justice Is Blind", but appears before them on the DVD.
Jason Kent Bateman (born January 14, 1969) is an American television and film actor. After appearing in several 1980s and 1990s sitcoms including It's Your Move, and The Hogan Family, Bateman came to prominence in the early 2000s for playing Michael Bluth on Arrested Development, for which he won a TV Land, a Golden Globe, and two Satellite Awards. He has since established himself in Hollywood by appearing in several films including The Kingdom, Juno, Hancock, Up in the Air, Paul, and Horrible Bosses.
Bateman was born in Rye, New York, the son of Victoria Elizabeth, a former flight attendant for Pan Am, and Kent Bruce Bateman, an actor, film and television writer/director, and founder of a repertory stage in Hollywood. His mother was from the United Kingdom, born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. His older sister, Justine, is of Family Ties fame. Bateman also has three half-brothers. His family moved to Salt Lake City when he was only four years old, and later to California.
Portia Lee James DeGeneres (born Amanda Lee Rogers; 31 January 1973), known professionally as Portia de Rossi ( /ˈpɔərʃə də ˈrɒsi/), is an Australian actress, best known for her roles as lawyer Nelle Porter on the television series Ally McBeal and Lindsay Bluth Fünke on the sitcom Arrested Development. She also portrayed Veronica Palmer on the ABC sitcom Better Off Ted and Olivia Lord on Nip/Tuck.
Born Amanda Lee Rogers in Horsham, Victoria, Australia,[citation needed] she is the daughter of Margaret, a medical receptionist, and Barry Rogers. Her father died when she was nine. She was raised in Grovedale, a suburb of Geelong in Victoria, Australia. As a child, she modelled for print and TV commercials. She adopted the name Portia de Rossi at the age of 15, stating in 2005 that she had intended to reinvent herself, using the given name of Portia, a character from William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, and an Italian last name.
Her first significant role was playing a young and impressionable model in the Australian 1994 film Sirens. Soon afterwards she moved to Los Angeles and had guest roles on several TV shows, and a permanent role in Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, before landing a role in the film Scream 2. During this time in the United States, de Rossi worked diligently to replace her native Australian accent with her current General American one.

Everything's perception not reality

Straighten out what's wrong and get back on track

And said my babies flying off to Rome
Let Wendy take the register
And let Cindy sweep the floors and
Let Joe and dem close the store
