Sally McKenzie, vice president, Eddie Bauer
Sally McKenzie graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland with a BA in Theater. She then relocated to Florida and attained a sales job with a local department store. This led to a position in a buying office. She eventually moved to Seattle where she accepted a position as a Merchandise Buyer for Jay Jacobs. This experience helped her attain a position with Eddie Bauer as the Product Manager/Planner for the Outlet Division. After six years of working to dramatically expand the Outlet Division, she felt she had "topped out" and took a position in the Eddie Bauer Sourcing area. This was a particularly bad fit for her and she left the company within three months. Even though she considered it "leaving", Eddie Bauer considered it a "leave of absence". Career counseling helped her to determine her strengths and priorities, and also convinced her that Eddie Bauer as a company was not a bad fit, even though her role in Sourcing was. A newspaper ad connected her with Greatfood.com where she became the Manager of Marketing and Operations. That position not only strengthened her confidence, but also provided exceptional technical and business-to-consumer web experience. QUESTION 3: What kind of media institution might distribute your product and why?
The Bauer Media Group is Europe's largest privately owned publishing Group, with a worldwide media empire offering over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online, TV and radio stations, employing some 6,400 people. Bauer Media is a multi-platform UK-based media Group consisting of many companies collected around two main divisions -- Magazines and Radio - widely recognized and rewarded as being industry modernizers, built on influential media brands with millions of personal relationships with engaged readers and listeners. I believe Bauer would be a good media institution to distribute my magazine as its strategy and aim is similar to that of mine, "to connect audiences with excellent content through our broad multi-touch point brand platforms, wherever and whenever and however they want. Our wide portfolio of influential brands gives us advantages over pure play magazine or radio competitors" Bauer also has a very good turnover at €2.129 Billion (2010), this meaning my magazine's circulation would be very impressive for a starting company. Although, the initial cost to get it started will be slightly higher, as mine and Bauer's motives are very similar, the two companies would coincide and cooperate well; increasing revenue on both behalves. My magazine would be placed alongside with other music magazines, in order to not confuse audiences with differing layouts. Also, to keep the Bauer magazines together, I would have STACK placed next to or between Q magazine, MOJO and Kerrang! Bauer challenges itself to anticipate consumer trends and work with technological developments to ensure content is available whenever, wherever and however. Their advertising teams have a complete 360 degree view across all of their brands, across all platforms, and are passionate about developing customer partnerships through high calibre creative ideas that take advantage of the brands' consumer engagement. This meaning that I would distribute my magazine through ways such as; • Creating synergy with iTunes and offer a chance to win a voucher when buying the magazine. • Use the app version of the magazine to be part of the Starbucks 'Pick of the Week', where customers simply follow the instructions on the back of the card to get your free download. • Have the magazine to be on sale at any gigs that we advertise with in the content. • Bulk sell some issues to stores.- published: 28 Apr 2014

Many consumers argue that these protections abrogate their legal rights. I'll be presenting a broad overview of these Consumer Media Protections (CMPs) and will conduct demonstrations of how to identify and bypass them. I will focus on bit-level video game, video signal and audio CMPs. Whichever side of the legal argument you fall on learn the law, learn your rights and speak-up. Christian Bauer has more than 25 years of experience in his field of business. The art director and creative consultant was, moreover, a pioneer and early entrepreneur for 3D technologies like 3D Online Communities, Virtual Reality and Web3D / VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language). He has also been working many years in the field of elaborate cultural project management for the known Austrian artist André Heller. Furthermore, he teaches at the University of Applied Sciences at the Institute for Renewable Energy. In his talk, which is titled "Towards a New Paradigm in Power Plant Construction" Christian Bauer presents a totally new power plant concept that addresses the regular consumer. This concept could be a solution for our current problems concerning energy.
