Aragon Lip Dub 2016
On Jan. 8, Aragon filmed its school-wide lip dub, organizing the entire student body along the campus and working out the details in order to provide for this extravaganza of school spirit. Not only is this the first lip dub filmed at Aragon, but it is also the first in the district. Planning for the lip dub began in the end of spring semester 2015 and months later, the video was finally put together, showing the school and all the viewers what it means to be an Aragon Don when it was finally released and premiered to the student body during the winter rally on Feb. 12.
In the video, a new student initially shy and timid of his first day at the "weird" school is shown how inviting and spirited Aragon can be. The new student is shown all the different and diverse clubs and organizations at Aragon as he is shown what it means to "bleed red and black."

Aragon (
/ˈærəɡɒn/ or /ˈærəɡən/), also known in Spanish and Aragonese as Aragón ([aɾaˈɣon]) and in Catalan as Aragó ([əɾəˈɣo] or [aɾaˈɣo]), is a modern autonomous community in Spain, coextensive with the medieval Kingdom of Aragon. Located in northeastern Spain, the Aragonese autonomous community comprises three provinces (from north to south): Huesca, Zaragoza, and Teruel. Its capital is Zaragoza (also called Saragossa in English). The current Statute of Autonomy declares Aragon a nationality of Spain.
Aragon's northern province of Huesca borders France and is positioned in the middle of the Pyrenees. Within Spain, the community is flanked by Catalonia on the east, Valencia and Castile–La Mancha to the south, and Castile and León, La Rioja, and Navarre to the west.
Covering an area of 47,719 km2 (18,424 sq mi), the region's terrain ranges diversely from permanent glaciers to verdant valleys, rich pasture lands and orchards, through to the arid steppe plains of the central lowlands. Aragon is home to many rivers—most notably, the river Ebro, Spain's largest river in volume, which runs west-east across the entire region through the province of Zaragoza. It is also home to the Aneto, the highest mountain in the Pyrenees.

Aragon Lip Dub 2016
On Jan. 8, Aragon filmed its school-wide lip dub, organizing the entire student body along the campus and working out the details in order to provide for this extravaganza of school spirit. Not only is this the first lip dub filmed at Aragon, but it is also the first in the district. Planning for the lip dub began in the end of spring semester 2015 and months later, the video was finally put together, showing the school and all the viewers what it means to be an Aragon Don when it was finally released and premiered to the student body during the winter rally on Feb. 12.
In the video, a new student initially shy and timid of his first day at the "weird" school is shown how inviting and spirited Aragon can be. The new student is shown all the different and diverse clubs and organizations at Aragon as he is shown what it means to "bleed red and black."

Barcelona is one of the most lively harbor cities on the Mediterranean and after Madrid, Spain's second largest city and the capital of Catalonia. Intimate squares, small palaces and tangled alleys provide a good insight into its history as Iberians, Greeks and Romans once had trading posts there.
La Rambla is a wide and shady boulevard that travels through the old town to the harbor and is where life goes on both night and day. It's also where street artists perform, shoeblacks work diligently and portrait painters tout for trade among the passing tourists.
The Museu Marítim is situated in the royal dockyards of Drassanes, that were built when the city was at its zenith. Its buildings are unique examples of Gothic architecture and the vast dimensions of the dockyard allowed 30 ships to be built simultaneously in the name of the Catalonian-Aragon crown.
Few parks are as famous as the Park Güell. With this, Antoni Gaudi created a new design concept in this fabulous garden city. At its entrance, Gaudi placed a colorful lizard as a symbol of the water that is collected in subterranean cisterns and is used for the distribution of water in the park. The city itself is also featured in Gaudi's magnificent fantasies. The Palau Güell was treated to an ostentatious roof with a great array of air shafts and chimneys. But the sight that captures the imagination of most who see it is the amazing façade of the Casa Mila, a unique apartment block without equal. Not a single wall is straight, glass and plaster were used for its façade and colourful ornamental ceramics complete the work.
Barcelona is a melting pot that ranges from Gothic to Modernism, a veritable explosion of joie de vivre and creativity.

The Barri Gòtic (Catalan for "Gothic Quarter") is the center of the old city of Barcelona. Many of the buildings date from medieval times, some from as far back as the Roman settlement of Barcelona. Catalan modernista architecture (related to the movement known as Art Nouveau in the rest of Europe), developed between 1885 and 1950 and left an important legacy in Barcelona. Several of these buildings are World Heritage Sites. Especially remarkable is the work of architect Antoni Gaudí, which can be seen throughout the city. His best-known work is the immense but still unfinished church of the Sagrada Família, which has been under construction since 1882, and is still financed by private donations. As of 2007, completion is planned for 2026.
Barcelona was also home to Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion. Designed in 1929 for the International Exposition for Germany, it is an iconic building that came to symbolize modern architecture as the embodiment of van der Rohe's aphorisms "less is more" and "God is in the details." The Barcelona pavilion was intended as a temporary structure, and was torn down in 1930 less than a year after it was constructed. A modern re-creation by Spanish architects now stands in Barcelona, however, constructed in 1986.
Barcelona won the 1999 RIBA Royal Gold Medal for its architecture,the first (and as of 2015, only) time that the winner has been a city, and not an individual architect.

On the third biggest island of the western basin of the Mediterranean Sea, the French tricolor waves in the wind. The 183km long and 83km wide Corsica lies 170km from the mainland, 80kkm from the Italian coast and only 12km from Sardinia. The most southerly settlement of the island is Bonifacio. According to the famous Corsican borne French poet, Paul Valery, this is the most scenic town of the island. His opinion is shared by millions of tourists who go on pilgrimage to this island even every year. In Italian, the place which got its name from the margrave Bonifaz of Tuscany in 828, is pronounced Bonifacio and in French Bonifacio. The fortress and together with it the town also, later fell under Genoan, Pisan, French and then Turkish rule.
The harbor stretches along the side of a 1.5km long bay. The bay separated from the sea by a 60m high cliff. Its strategic importance is further enhanced by this citadel built on the cliff and the narrow entrance of the bay. The town endured many sieges and they collected rainwater in huge cisterns so even during the siege, they were not in want. Even the flying buttresses of the famous Santa Maria Majore serve to collect water in the cisterns carved in the rock under the hull. The Genoa gate was the only entrance to the upper town. Today, we can find here the municipal history museum. The 187 steps named after the king of Aragon was allegedly carved into the rock by the besiegers but a local woman Margarita Bobia discovered them so the attack failed.

One man said a bag of flour in the city - which was taken over by so-called Islamic State (IS) militants in January 2014 - now cost $850.
