Various street scenes STORYLINE: Video shot inside Jalalabad during the past three days shows the city's transition from Taliban control to forces allied to the Northern Alliance was relatively peaceful. The footage obtained by APTN shows Pakistani Taliban and their supporters fleeing the city unhindered. The catalyst for their withdrawal American bombing raids on key Taliban positions around the city including direct hits on a camp for Arab Taliban. Mujahadeen fighters loyal to commander Haji Kadir poured into the southern city just a day after the Taliban had abandoned it. The Pastun tribesman are among the supporters of the assassinated Northern Alliance leader Abdul Haq. Hundreds of jubilant refugees were making their way home to Jalalabad on Thursday following the fall of the city. The city is brimming with guns and soldiers - but in the end it was liberated from the Taliban with hardly a shot being fired. The US bombing continued until the Taliban fled into the mountains. At the former Governor's Palace a meeting was held amongst the commanders and tribal leaders who now run the city. They are not the Northern Alliance but another anti-Taliban faction from the Pashtun ethnic group. They want to establish Jalalabad as theirs and not the Northern Alliance's and they are demanding a hefty slice of power. It was around Jalalabad where Osama bin Laden spent much of his time and established many of his terrorist training camps. On Thursday afternoon the international media was allowed in to see first hand that the city had changed hands.
