After about 17 years, we are finally DONE with elementary school! It is bittersweet, because it means that our kids are really growing up. With Paisley finally out of elementary school, we are finally hitting a few lasts. Here in our school district, elementary school goes from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Then 5th and 6th grade are in intermediate school, then 7th and 8th grades are in middle school, then on to high school.
As part of her graduation, Paisley walked to get her graduation certificate and did a ceremonial walk out of the school. Brooklyn, Bailey, and Kamri helped decorate our car and Paisley's two sidewalk squares. Unfortunately, the rain washed it all away before she walked. The cutest was probably Paisley's reaction after coming home from school.
Shaun and Rylan took a quick trip to Arizona to attend Clamour Summit. It is an event for a select few YouTube channels in the Kids & Family space to meet with brands and speak on panels. We are actually part owners in a sister event called Clamour Live (a fan event) that will be held here in Dallas on Aug 6-8th, 2021. Paisley (/ˈpeɪzli/; Scottish Gaelic: Pàislig) is the largest town in the historic county of Renfrewshire in the west central Lowlands of Scotland and serves as the administrative centre for the Renfrewshire council area. The town is situated on the northern edge of the Gleniffer Braes, straddling the banks of the White Cart Water, a tributary of the River Clyde.
The town, a former burgh, forms part of a contiguous urban area with Glasgow; Glasgow city centre is 6.9 miles (11.1 km) to the east. The town came to prominence with the establishment of Paisley Abbey in the 12th century, an important religious hub in medieval Scotland which formerly had control over the other churches in the local area. It is regularly cited as 'Scotland's largest town' as it has yet to attain official city status.
By the 19th century, Paisley had established itself as a centre of the weaving industry, giving its name to the Paisley shawl and the Paisley Pattern. The town's associations with political Radicalism were highlighted by its involvement in the Radical War of 1820, with striking weavers being instrumental in the protests. As of 1993, all of Paisley's mills had closed, although they are memorialised in the town's museums and civic history.

Paisley (design)
Paisley or Paisley pattern is a term in English for a design using the buta or boteh, a droplet-shaped vegetable motif of Persian (i.e. Iranian) origin. Such designs became very popular in the West in the 18th and 19th centuries, following imports of post-Mughal versions of the design from India, especially in the form of Kashmir shawls, and were then imitated locally. The pattern is sometimes called Persian pickles by American traditionalists, especially quilt-makers, or "Welsh pears" in Welsh textiles as far back as 1888.
Origins
Resembling a twisted teardrop, the fig-shaped paisley is of Persian (i.e. Iranian) origin, but its western name derives from the town of Paisley, in West Scotland, a center for textiles where paisley designs were produced.
Some design scholars believe it is the convergence of a stylized floral spray and a cypress tree: a Zoroastrian symbol of life and eternity. Paisley is the quintessential visual metaphor of Iran’s bifurcated and tormented identity – riven between Arabic Islam and pre-Islamic Persian creeds. It is a bent cedar, and the cedar is the tree Zarathustra planted in paradise. The heavenly tree was “bent” under the weight of the Arab invasion and Muslim conquest of Persia. The "bent" cedar is also the sign of strength and resistance but modesty. The floral motif was originated in the Sassanid Dynasty and later in the Safavid Dynasty of Persia (from 1501 to 1736), and was a major textile pattern in Iran during the Qajar and Pahlavi Dynasties. In these periods, the pattern was used to decorate royal regalia, crowns, and court garments, as well as textiles used by the general population.

After about 17 years, we are finally DONE with elementary school! It is bittersweet, because it means that our kids are really growing up. With Paisley finally out of elementary school, we are finally hitting a few lasts. Here in our school district, elementary school goes from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Then 5th and 6th grade are in intermediate school, then 7th and 8th grades are in middle school, then on to high school.
As part of her graduation, Paisley walked to get her graduation certificate and did a ceremonial walk out of the school. Brooklyn, Bailey, and Kamri helped decorate our car and Paisley's two sidewalk squares. Unfortunately, the rain washed it all away before she walked. The cutest was probably Paisley's reaction after coming home from school.

After about 17 years, we are finally DONE with elementary school! It is bittersweet, because it means that our kids are really growing up. With Paisley finally out of elementary school, we are finally hitting a few lasts. Here in our school district, elementary school goes from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Then 5th and 6th grade are in intermediate school, then 7th and 8th grades are in middle school, then on to high school.
As part of her graduation, Paisley walked to get her graduation certificate and did a ceremonial walk out of the school. Brooklyn, Bailey, and Kamri helped decorate our car and Paisley's two sidewalk squares. Unfortunately, the rain washed it all away before she walked. The cutest was probably Paisley's reaction after coming home from school.

This is a legacy video from my old shoobeedoodling channel. It got a quarter of a million views! Will it achieve such heights again on my shooraynerdrawing channel? The paisley pattern is a very old pattern that comes originally from the middle and far east. It's thought originally to have been based on the shape of a palm from or maybe the shape that cypress trees make when they bend over in a strong wind. Basically you need to draw the outline and a few inner lines that follow the outer contour. Then it's up to you to either copy my design or fill up the space with your own patern designs. The Paisley design
Paul "Scruffy" Martin takes a look at The Paisley design or paisley pattern which is an ornamental design using the teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end. Of Persian origin, paisley designs became very popular in the West in the 18th and 19th centuries, following imports of post-Mughal Empire versions of the design from India, especially in the form of Kashmir shawls, and were then imitated locally. Although the fig- or almond-like form is of Persian origin, its English name derives from the town of Paisley, in West Scotland, a centre for textiles where paisley designs were produced.

Paisley or paisley pattern is an ornamental textile design using the boteh (Persian: بته) or buta, a teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end. Of Persian origin,[1] paisley designs became very popular in the West in the 18th and 19th centuries, following imports of post–Mughal Empire versions of the design from India, especially in the form of Kashmir shawls, and were then replicated locally. Although the pine cone or almond-like form is of Persian origin, and the textile designs cramming many of them into a rich pattern are originally Indian, the English name for the patterns derives from the town of Paisley, in the west of Scotland, a centre for textiles where paisley designs were produced.[3] The pattern is sometimes called "Persian pickles" by American traditionalists, especially quiltmakers, or "Welsh pears" in Wales. Persian silk brocade with gold and silver thread (golabetoon), woven in 1963.
The pattern is still commonly seen in Britain and other English-speaking countries on men's ties, waistcoats, and scarfs, and remains popular in other items of clothing and textiles in Iran and South and Central Asian countries.
Some design scholars believe the buta is the convergence of a stylized floral spray and a cypress tree: a Zoroastrian symbol of life and eternity. The "bent" cedar is also a sign of strength and resistance but modesty. The floral motif was originated in the Sassanid dynasty and later in the Safavid dynasty of Persia (1501–1736), and was a major textile pattern in Iran during the Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties. In these periods, the pattern was used to decorate royal regalia, crowns, and court garments, as well as textiles used by the general population.[citation needed] Persian and Central Asian designs usually range the motifs in orderly rows, with a plain background.

After about 17 years, we are finally DONE with elementary school! It is bittersweet, because it means that our kids are really growing up. With Paisley finally out of elementary school, we are finally hitting a few lasts. Here in our school district, elementary school goes from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Then 5th and 6th grade are in intermediate school, then 7th and 8th grades are in middle school, then on to high school.
As part of her graduation, Paisley walked to get her graduation certificate and did a ceremonial walk out of the school. Brooklyn, Bailey, and Kamri helped decorate our car and Paisley's two sidewalk squares. Unfortunately, the rain washed it all away before she walked. The cutest was probably Paisley's reaction after coming home from school.
Shaun and Rylan took a quick trip to Arizona to attend Clamour Summit. It is an event for a select few YouTube channels in the Kids & Family space to meet with brands and speak on panels. We are actually part owners in a sister event called Clamour Live (a fan event) that will be held here in Dallas on Aug 6-8th, 2021. Paisley
Coordinates: 55°50′48″N 4°25′25″W / 55.846627°N 4.423636°W / 55.846627; -4.423636
Paisley (/ˈpeɪzli/; Scottish Gaelic: Pàislig) is the largest town in the historic county of Renfrewshire in the west central Lowlands of Scotland and serves as the administrative centre for the Renfrewshire council area. The town is situated on the northern edge of the Gleniffer Braes, straddling the banks of the White Cart Water, a tributary of the River Clyde.
The town, a former burgh, forms part of a contiguous urban area with Glasgow; Glasgow city centre is 6.9 miles (11.1 km) to the east. The town came to prominence with the establishment of Paisley Abbey in the 12th century, an important religious hub in medieval Scotland which formerly had control over the other churches in the local area. It is regularly cited as 'Scotland's largest town' as it has yet to attain official city status.
By the 19th century, Paisley had established itself as a centre of the weaving industry, giving its name to the Paisley shawl and the Paisley Pattern. The town's associations with political Radicalism were highlighted by its involvement in the Radical War of 1820, with striking weavers being instrumental in the protests. As of 1993, all of Paisley's mills had closed, although they are memorialised in the town's museums and civic history.

This is a legacy video from my old shoobeedoodling channel. It got a quarter of a million views! Will it achieve such heights again on my shooraynerdrawing channel?
The paisley pattern is a very old pattern that comes originally from the middle and far east. It's thought originally to have been based on the shape of a palm from or maybe the shape that cypress trees make when they bend over in a strong wind.
Basically you need to draw the outline and a few inner lines that follow the outer contour. Then it's up to you to either copy my design or fill up the space with your own patern designs. It's such a forgiving design, you can hardly go wrong with it, if you are patient and take your time. Good luck!

Paisley or paisley pattern is an ornamental textile design using the boteh (Persian: بته) or buta, a teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end. Of Persian origin,[1] paisley designs became very popular in the West in the 18th and 19th centuries, following imports of post–Mughal Empire versions of the design from India, especially in the form of Kashmir shawls, and were then replicated locally. Although the pine cone or almond-like form is of Persian origin, and the textile designs cramming many of them into a rich pattern are originally Indian, the English name for the patterns derives from the town of Paisley, in the west of Scotland, a centre for textiles where paisley designs were produced.[3] The pattern is sometimes called "Persian pickles" by American traditionalists, especially quiltmakers, or "Welsh pears" in Wales. Persian silk brocade with gold and silver thread (golabetoon), woven in 1963.
The pattern is still commonly seen in Britain and other English-speaking countries on men's ties, waistcoats, and scarfs, and remains popular in other items of clothing and textiles in Iran and South and Central Asian countries.
Some design scholars believe the buta is the convergence of a stylized floral spray and a cypress tree: a Zoroastrian symbol of life and eternity. The "bent" cedar is also a sign of strength and resistance but modesty. The floral motif was originated in the Sassanid dynasty and later in the Safavid dynasty of Persia (1501–1736), and was a major textile pattern in Iran during the Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties. In these periods, the pattern was used to decorate royal regalia, crowns, and court garments, as well as textiles used by the general population.[citation needed] Persian and Central Asian designs usually range the motifs in orderly rows, with a plain background.
