Andy Stott

Andy Stott is a Manchester-based producer of dub and techno music who has released four albums with the Modern Love label. His debut album was Merciless in 2006, and was followed by Unknown Exception (2008) and Luxury Problems in 2012. In November 2014, Stott released "Faith in Strangers" and also incorporated vocals from his former piano teacher, Alison Skidmore. Stott has undertaken several productions under the moniker Andrea and these works were released on Daphne, a sublabel of Modern Love. Most of this work is in association with MLZ / Pendle Coven's Miles Whittaker who used the moniker Millie in the recordings and were released as Millie & Andrea. In 2012, Stott collaborated with the Brooklyn duo The Hundred in the Hands remixing Keep It Low from their 2012 album, Red Night.

Stott's album Luxury Problems, incorporated vocals from his former piano teacher, Alison Skidmore. It received top album awards on both Resident Advisor and Pitchfork Media in 2012.

In March 2014, Stott and label-mate Miles Whittaker released Drop the Vowels, under the Millie and Andrea moniker.

Holy Other is a British electronic musician and producer originally from Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. He is best known for his critically acclaimed debut album Held.

Music career

Holy Other made his debut in 2010 with the release of a 7" single, We Over, on Transparent Records. Shortly after he signed to Tri Angle (record label) and released his debut EP, With U, in 2011.With U was highly acclaimed by music critics, many applauding it's unique blend of R&B, UK Garage, and House Music. Paul Lester, writing for The Guardian, remarked in reference to the EP “remember those stories about Prince being a Cocteau Twins fan? Well, this is what might have resulted had he worked with Robin Guthrie or Kevin Shields”, while Marc Hogan, in his review for Spin Magazine wrote that the EP "blasts through not only genres, but the divide between the otherworldly and the physical”. Despite the early hype Holy Other immediately developed a reputation for being a particularly elusive and private artist, rarely divulging personal details about himself and preferring not to be photographed or filmed during interviews. In an interview with Stereogum he explained the mystery surrounding him as a by-product of intense stage fright and an initial desire to keep the project as faceless as possible for as long as possible.
