I have built a AM1 Gaming PC just to see if the words AM1 and Gaming PC should be used together. Watch the video to find out if having such a low end processor that only has 4 lanes of PCIe can hold its own in modern gaming titles.
Every time I say AM1 please replace this with the words Athlon 5350! :)

Had some issues with the 1080p video playback and got a little fed up with it.
Now it's sporting AM1 5350 APU, 4Gb 1600Mhz DDR3, 120Gb SSD for Windows 7 and programs.
Primarily using it for a PVR via Windows media center and Kodi for other video addons.
Do I need a powerhouse for a HTPC. No, and this is perfect (FOR MY NEEDS).
In true cheap fashion, I'll be making a linux build with the old Xbox PC motherboard. I'm thinking of putting it into the PS3 computer or in my next XBOX 360 build.

Putting my new little computer together, it's a lovely little build with a kinda cute tiny AM1 Athlon 5370 2.2GHz quad core, Kingston SSD, CCL Choice 8GBDR3 RAM, Toshiba Storage Drive, Wireless adapter, a surprisingly lovely build quality aerocool mATX cool gaming case mATX all under £200 (using a PSU I already had).

Had some issues with the 1080p video playback and got a little fed up with it.
Now it's sporting AM1 5350 APU, 4Gb 1600Mhz DDR3, 120Gb SSD for Windows 7 and programs.
Primarily using it for a PVR via Windows media center and Kodi for other video addons.
Do I need a powerhouse for a HTPC. No, and this is perfect (FOR MY NEEDS).
In true cheap fashion, I'll be making a linux build with the old Xbox PC motherboard. I'm thinking of putting it into the PS3 computer or in my next XBOX 360 build.
