Japanese chair-lift at Rajgir
For twenty rupees, one can ride a rickety Japanese-made chair car from the base of one of the Rajgir hills to the top where a World Peace Stupa and a Zen temple exist. The Buddha didn't have this luxury, of course, and had to hike it the old-fashioned way to his favored meditation spot at Griddhakuta (Vulture Peak)
